Jack's Ever Green Painting

Jack came out to provide one of the 4 estimates we received. He was punctual and professional and did a very thorough walkthrough of our house's exterior, making a number of suggestions, such as painting the concrete foundation which had previously been unpainted. His price was very competitive and this, combined with his professionalism and responsiveness, was why I selected them. The painting took approximately one day for cleaning/pressure washing/caulking, one day for the body of the house, one and a half days for the trim, and one day for the deck and touch-up. The body of the house looked great. For the trim and front door, I think they were a little rushed to finish at the end of the third day as there was some uneven painting that needed additional work/repainting. I asked them to repaint the front door and touch up some parts of the trim. They were very responsive and happy to do this (everyone always had a great attitude) and worked through the list of items to be fixed (upgrading the quality from a B to an A) on the same day they painted the deck. Overall, everyone was very professional, hardworking, and friendly. The house looks great and I enjoyed working with Jack and Nick's team.

It went very well. There were a few areas that needed to be fixed and Jack came back in a timely manner to fix them. I appreciated their proptness and quality work.

This company was excellent to deal with. Their price was competitive and their work was first rate. They painted the exterior of our home during a period of pretty miserable weather, and worked very long hours on every day they could to get the job done on time. They came back to deal with minor issues and followed up to make sure we were satisfied. We were very impressed with how hardworking the crew was, particularly Andrey and Virgil. Our house looks great!

Jack came out on time to give me the estimate the day we got possession of our new house. They commenced work 2 days later before we moved in our furniture. They spent 2 full days and a partial 3rd day painting. Along with the ceilings and the upstairs landing, they painted the vaulted stairwell down to a line along the wall that I drew where we decided to paint a different color ourselves to save money. They were very responsive to questions and changes we made to try to cut costs on painting we could do ourselves. When we called to ask them to caulk along a beam they missed, they scheduled a time to return 2 days later. Great work.

You already know from my ratings above how we feel about the result - high standard of excellence all around. What the ratings do not show is how very cooperative and uncomplaining the entire staff of this company are. Pay attention to this. I am not the easiest client to work with - in terms of my pickiness about details. In some cases I changed my mind about the color of something and asked them to do it over. An example was some trim around the front windows which had been painted the body color of the home a light pale green. They carried out my instructions to the letter on this. HOWEVER - the front windows are the only windows with shutters. At the end of the main paint job we picked out a dark emerald green accent color for the front door. At that time we decided to paint the shutters that color - which they did in a flash. But the light green trim paint next to the white of the window frames plus an emerald green shutter made it look like a 3 - color gingerbread look and sort of like the shutters were separated from the window frame. So they repainted the light green band the emerald green color to give that color continuity next to the white window frame. These folks just did it, no complaints about me changing something after the fact and NO WHINING! And this instance was just one of many. They are here to satisfy the customer, believe me. Thanks to Nick and crew. And here is an "over the top" item. Jack Fecker stopped by yesterday with a gift of appreciation for our business: 2 dozed red roses and a $100 gift certificate for future interior painting that we might require. A crew of 5 came in and tackled the job in one day, I appreciated that. One man returned the next day for touch up and clean up. All waste was removed from our property. All work was done per the bid. There was one miscommunitation and the bid jumped $200. to my surprise but based on quality it was worth it. I would definately hire this company again for small and large painting projects.

The estimate was the most reasonable of 4 bids, which included an early bird discount of 20%. We were plagued with rainy weather so the scheduling took longer than anticipated, but they made repeated trips to get the job done as soon as they were able including re-doing some areas where the rain ruined the paint job. Nick and his crew are hard-workers, especially Andre. He helped do some extra items that were not anticipated such as pressure washing the front walk and patios and fixed a gutter that developed a leak. The house looks great.

We had several estimates and found Jack through deal at Angie's list. He was pro-active from start. Took 3 visits (we knew this would be necessary). Always on time. Very personable. Always cleaned up afterwards. Results were amazing - he was able to apply a knockdown finish to match existing wall. Couldn't be more please! Recommend him very highly.

Appt. was set for April 1; they arrived on time for a 4-hour block of time. There were 2 people. One filled the small cracks and one worked on the larger one. He wanted to use fast-drying spackle to fill the larger crack; I asked him if it wouldn't open up again without taping or digging it out. He said no. That night the crack was open as the spackle dried. I called and asked him to come back and fix it. He told me that since I had "used up my 4 hours" they would have to charge me extra. I reminded them they had only been here for a little over 2 hours. He said that's 2 people for 2 hours =4hours. That's why they used hot air dryers on the large crack. After discussion, he agreed to return and fix the crack again - 11 days later. This time, he did it better, using mesh and a layer of mud. Since it didn't dry enough for him to sand when he came back later, he would have to come back for the third time.This time, the owner came, sanded, mud, textured. The owner at first gave me a bill for the "extra time" he had spent fixing the first man's poor job but later returned the money after my husband called him to complain. I will have to sand and mud in places because the mesh is visible, and re-texture the crack myself because the spray over is totally unlike the rest of the texture on the wall. What did I learn? First, 4 hours is four linear hours and I will hold them to it no matter how many people they bring. That wasn't in the fine print and it's not my fault they didn't do the job properly when they first came. Second, when I know more than "the expert" who walks in the door, I've hired the wrong people. Thrd, I'm going to do everything I can as a DIY'er.

Jack came out and did a free evaluation for painting. We had 3 other companies do the same estimate and Jack's estimate came in lower while offering the exact same guarantee and service. The work was completed in a timely manner and to our satisfaction. They even made an additional trip out to do some final clean up of the work site. Our only criticism was that during the painting process there were many days of rain and we had to continually ask if they were coming that day, rather than them offering up that information. The work looks great. We would definitely recommend to others and hire again for any future needs.

It went great! I signed up for the $99 for 4 hours of drywall work, but feel as though I was not treated as a "discount" buyer. Plus, I actually had about 8 hours of work to do, so we switched over to his regular rate after using up the 4 Angie's List hours. Went great!

The work was done very well. The cleanup was really good and overall everything was really top-notch. I would advise anyone to watch the details like you have to do with everything else. I cleared the area so they could get at everything without having to move stuff around. They were not the cheapest or most expensive; they were right in the middle. The price was very good. They were very responsive and they came back to do some touchup work. I would use them again.

It went great. Nick, Virgil, Mark and company were present when expected (One day when heavy traffic caused them to be 15 minutes late we got a phone call informing us of the situation). Jack stopped by to validate the process. The entire work crew were professional in every regard.

Covered all the furniture / fixtures, etc. 20 Foot ceilings, fireplace and sky lights -- Day one was all prep and base coat.... Day two finished and cleaned up-- a whole new room! Great job. Front Double door needed to be stripped, mold removed and refinished. Again, a 2 day job -- with beautiful results. These guys really know their business. Highly recommend.

Jack's did a great job and the living room looks great. I used the company earlier in the year to paint the exterior of my home and was so satisfied that I decided to use them because I did not want to deal with the high ceiling myself. The crew showed up right on time and the room was prepped and painted by mid afternoon the first day. One of the painters came back the next day to do 10 minutes of touch up work around the fireplace mantel that couldn't be done the first day because of wet paint. The 2 man crew was efficient and friendly. As with my report earlier in the year, I would recommend Jack's Ever Green Painting.

We needed a newly purchased home painted inside and had only a short window to do this prior to moving in. Jack himself and his foreman, Nick, provided us with a prompt and competitive quote detailing the work they would perform. We arranged a start date and Nick and his crew arrived promptly and completed the work on schedule, including some handyman work. Nick and his crew even returned to perform some minor touch-ups and did everything they could to make sure we were satisfied. The quality of work is excellent and we are very satisfied. We would use them again.

The house looks great; wonderful job. No problems from start to finish - they showed up on time, did a great job, didn't damage any of the shrubs or trees around the house, and left everything tidy once they were done.

I contacted three painting companies and Jack gave me the best price. I also appreciated the "can-do" attitude of the whole crew.They made it sound so easy even though we were getting late into October with shorter, wetter days. I agreed to the proposal, gave them my paint samples and on the next dry day, the crew arrived and got to work. The only glitch was that the paint company provided the wrong accent color for the door and shutters. It only caused a slight delay. The crew leader was able to switch it out for the right color that day and get one coat on the door. He made the long trip back two days later to finish the door and install the shutters which he had taken with him to paint and bring back. I am very pleased with the quality of their work and the timeliness of getting it done. And, the price couldn't be beat. I even upgraded the paint.

Jack's Ever Green Painting painted almost the entire inside of our 2 story 2,000 square foot house. They painted some accent walls and did minor wall repairs. I liked that the estimate they gave me was right on target with the actual end charge. They were very easy to work with and were responsive and accommodating.

The whole team was excellent. We will definitely be hiring them in the future. They arrived on time, worked hard, were friendly and respectful. The wall and ceiling repairs where done beautifully. The wallpaper removal was a huge job and not an easy one, Andrea did a great job. Thank you to Nick, Mark, Andrea, and Jack.

I did not go with him, because he was the highest price. He was prompt and on time to give the bids. He called me right back when I initially called him. We made an appointment quickly and just when I wanted it made. They were nice and I liked them a lot, but the price was just too high.

We had had 6 quotes that came in for full exterior paint on an old house, and Jack's was in the top 2 most affordable. I liked Jack and Nick (crew lead) because he emphasized taking out nails, patching imperfections in the siding, caulking along the windows. They were very responsive to calls/emails/questions. They were also flexible in the schedule as we waited for the siding company to finish up their work. The crew themselves were great; they worked steadily during good weather and took on small projects that were covered during bad weather. Andre (one of the painters) I would walk around in the morning for me to look and point out any missed things and answer any questions he had. After they started, we opted to add a color, and Nick provided a fair quote for the additional work - which we decided to do. Hopefully, we won't need exterior paint in the near future, but in 5 years we would definitely call Jack again.

They were very courteous and professional and did a great job! I had severals bids but their's was the best.

Couldn't have asked for more. Price was 60% of next best estimate. Job included caulking, minor repairs, and refinishing some doors. Started on time. Had several delays for rain, but the crew skillfully worked around the rain. Forman did an outstanding job of taking care of us. Crew cleaned up each day. Quality was outstanding. These guys really know what they are doing. This is the best painting experience I have ever had. The final price was what they estimated.
