+ -1 morePlease see above. As you can tell, we're delighted with the job Jack's Ever Green Painting did for us. Every member of the organization was a professional. They were prompt, courteous, and knew their craft.
Description of Work: We had all the interior walls of our home painted after selecting Jack's Ever Green Painting from three bids we solicited for the work. Jack was very specific in making his bid, specifying the brand and line of paint included. After receiving Jack's bid we learned a bit more about the different lines of paint from the manufacturer and asked Jack fo revise his bid to include an upgraded line of paint. Jack was happy to work with us and made an adjustment to his bid. No secrets or surprises. Jack's crew of Primo, Jesus, and Juan were terrific. They were on-time every day, were careful in working around our home, and did a great job applying the paint to our walls. Andrey, Jack's General Manager, stopped by each day to inspect the work and ask if we had any questions or concerns. Jack,too, stopped by one afternoon to check out how things were progressing. We viewed this as great customer service. After the first day, we asked Andrey about changing the base color we had selected (it looked too green). Andrey explained that this was not the first time a customer had asked to change colors after the paint had been applied. Andrey worked with us by explaining what was involved in changing our base color; what we needed to do the make the change; and how much the additional cost would be. With this information we were able to proceed and I'm happy to say we're delighted with the result. On the first day of painting, we asked about having the wallpaper removed in our laundry room. Andrey advised us what was involved and how much the added costs would be. The next day Juan showed up and spent almost the entire day closed up in our laundry room removing the 26 year-old wallpaper. He did a great job. Today Juan primed and painted the laundry room. We're thinking of renaming it in his honor. Both Primo and Jesus did an excellent job communicating with us about where they were in the painting process and where they would be painting next. This helped us prepare the rooms prior to painting. Today, before leaving Primo vacuumed up most of the area he and Jesus worked in, leaving a nice clean room for us to enjoy.

Jack gave me the number of his manager, Andrey. Andrey always was available to talk, gave straight and informative advice. Andrey and his crew were fast and worked us in to their schedule very quickly. It was so easy working with them and that is so refreshing - no hassle and great attitudes. Definitely would work with them again.

Andrey was quite helpful in helping us define what we needed to paint, helping us elaborate on things we hadn't previously considered (like painting our pocket doors and insides of closets), worked with us to determine what areas would need the most attention and what areas we could likely get away with leaving alone. He also provided us with some additional contractors' phone numbers as he'd just had work done on his house and we were trading stories about what needed to get done and the horror stories of discovery (like what lies at your subfloor). Andrey seems very knowledgeable about his paint brands and types. He got back to us promptly (within 2 days) with a full estimate. Now we're just in a holding pattern with our flooring.
Description of Work: Needed an estimate from an interior painter for painting most of the interior of our approx. 2600 sq. ft house, including ceilings, halls, trim (lots of it), and possibly redoing the all kitchen cabinets (lots of those too). Andrey came over to do the estimate. He arrived promptly, and had his clipboard and pen ready. I had let him know that we were still a bit nebulous about what we needed painted, and he said he could help us out with sortig out what we needed to have painted, if we wanted. So we had him walk through the house with us and review everything - trim, closets, laundry room, all the main rooms, doors, pocket doors, every last bit of house - including what it would cost to redo our kitchen cabinets.

+ -1 moreJack came out to give the estimate himself, walked aroud the property with me and gave his honest opinion of what needed to be done and what could wait. We decided that the existing paint on two of the faces would be adequate for many more years, so didn't need to be repainted. He not only knew about painting, but window type, roofs, roof architecture and other topics, which he dropped like seeds as we passed by my aging house. The crew was prompt, kept the place clean, respected my neighbors, and protected my grounds. The prep work was thorough, the door we had worked on was practically replaced and looked like new and the paint job was great. After they were done, there was some small dents on my metal roof (just like my last painter) and Jack paid for someone to come out and fix it the next day, leaving it like new again. Overall they did an outstanding job and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or to recommend them!
Description of Work: Jack's company painted the exterior of my house on two sides and almost all of the trim. Replaced the trim and half of a door to my garage.

His price was reasonable. The more you talk to a person, the more you can get a good feel for him. And he's an older gentleman and you kind of get an old style feel from him, whether it's good or bad or otherwise. He came across as a person that I could trust. They only thing that I would have liked better is a more thorough estimate.

He performed his job steadily for 8 hours w/ a few breaks, was thorough, and completed all the wall paper we needed removed. He picked up everything with him and did not leave any trash behind. The drywall repairs he needed to do looked good. I would definitely not hesitate to hire them again!

Very impressed. He did not need the enire four hours to fnish the jobs I asked him to do. He covered everything with a tarp before applying the mud. He repaired all the places where it was needed. All done quickly, professionally, and quietly. One nice thing I noticed was he did NOT take a cell phone call during the work. One came in but I heard him tell them that he was on a job and couldn't speak just then. This was very refreshing! I would definitely hire Jack's Ever Green Painting again and highly recommend them to anyone who needs this work done.

+ 0 moreI purchased Angies list Big Deal for four hours of drywall, after I phoned and learned that they would be willing to patch wallboard in a few places, and then use the balance of the time painting some woodwork. The painter, Yair, was prompt, actually arriving early - but waited in his truck until we came to the door. He looked at the areas to be patched and painted, and quickly got to work. He asked if there was more to do when he had more time, and worked quickly and neatly to paint and then recoat the patching a second time. He was very neat in covering areas that might have paint or spackle dripped. His painting was neat, thorough and quick. And he was a pleasure to work with. He managed the time very well, getting much more accomplished than I expected, and cleaned up thoroughly within the time allotted by the big deal. I will call this company for our next big project.de
Description of Work: Spackled ceiling where a larger hole was cut for a new ceiling fan, and where paint on that ceiling was peeling. Painted woodwork in two bathrooms, one of which included a large two sink vanity. Excellent skills, neat, and very pleasant.

I paid for whole day and it took him about half a day to do the job and then left. I would have had him do something else if I had known how quick it went.

+ -1 moreThe overall work was beyond execellent! Jack's Ever Green Painting (JEGP) called me because the time was runnng out on this deal. I thought it was great that this company went to the trouble to get in contact with me. We made an appointment for the work to be done. Yair the foreman for JEGP came to do the work. He appeared on time and once I showed him the problem he immediately began to work. Not only did Yair repair the 2 ft, bt 6 ft, area but he noticed two other areas and he patched them as well. Yair's work was execellent. Except for the difference of color because of the drying time I could not tell where the patch ended and the old ceiling paint began. After Yair had departed I got on my ladder to further inspect the work and all the patching was incredibly smooth. I will go back to JEGP the next time I need painting and/or patching work and I will specifically ask that Yair do the work. Thank you Jack's Ever Green Painting, and thank you Angie!!
Description of Work: This was one of the $99 deals that are offered in Angie's List. Because of some leaks in my roof My dining room ceiling has a few areas where the paint was peeling. It being an old house, the ceiling had been repainted so many times that the paint was quite thick and had peeled down to the the plaster. I selected Jack's Ever Green Painting to scrape off the areas where the paint had peeled and then patch up those areas.

Description of Work: Jose arrived promptly, professionally attired & did prep. This was a wall that went from the stairwell up to the vaulted ceiling. The wallpaper was from the seventies & on a mesh backing. Andre, the supervisor arrived several hours into the job & helped Jose set up the ladder on the stairwell. He was very informative & also was able to give me some pricing on the spot to paint the wall. The job was done beautifully. The wall was left ready for painting and the cleanup was perfect. My husband was amazed at the job Jose accomplished in 8 hours.

+ 0 moreBased on reviews by other members, we bought Jack's "Big Deal' for $199 for 8 hours of wallpaper removal. My wife and I applied the wallpaper over 20 years ago, and it's time for a change. I was told by the office manager that their employee would arrive between 8 am and 9am. The employee actually arrived 15 minutes early and waited in his van parked in the street until just after 8 am. He then came to the door with tools in hand. The employee, Juan, took off his shoes, stored them on our porch and immediately went to work. Juan worked diligently, was extremely careful, and did an excellent job. He put in a solid day of labor, and we got our money's worth. We have more wallpaper to remove,and we'll be calling Jack's later this week to make another appointment to finish the project.
