Jack's Ever Green Painting

It went very well. They originally told us they would start in mid-May but they were able to get the work done during the second week in April. They were very neat and spent at least a day taping everything. We had absolutely no complaints or problems. Our house hasn't looked this great in years.

I ended up going with someone else.

I've been in the new construction home building business for over 4 decades and could be considered by some as very demanding. I rec'd 4 separate bids from painters listed in Angie's List. Jack's was in the lower cost, but not the lowest. They were prompt at the meeting to review the house for a bid and spent considerable time reviewing my needs and explaining how they were going to approach the job. Both Jack and Andrey, Jack's manager, came out. I'll have to admit that if it was only Jack, I may not have hired them-I was very impressed with Andrey. I supplied the solid body stain for the exterior siding because I'm able to buy at a good price and it is highly rated, they supplied the trim paint, but I upgraded as their standard is pretty basic. We have clear cedar T&G siding that was badly in need of stain, so this was not an easy job. These guys actually put the two coats on the way you are supposed to and not immediately after the first coat. Andrey put his crew on the job that consisted of Yari, Homario, Eric and Jesus. Yari was the crew leader and I don't know if I've ever been more impressed with anyone in all my years in construction, especially at such a young age. Yari has it all-aside from being a good painter, he is very personable and very concerned about taking care of us and making sure we were happy (actually everyone was this way, but Yari really stood out-they probably aren't paying him enough). The crew was great at touching up any areas I marked out and Andrey was more than fair in charging me for extra work and materials. I can't speak for the other crews (a company is only as good as its various crews and crew leaders), but the crew on our house was fantastic.

It was an awesome experience because I approached three different painting people from three different companies. Two of them took a week to get back to me after my initial call, but he called the very next morning and even though we was totally backed up he was willing to run by the house within a weeks time to give me an estimate, which he did and he sat right down at the table after reviewing and wrote out his estimate. Whereas the other two painters after they came through, they took a week and then an additional week to get their estimates. I even called them back to say that I am not going to go with you, right now because we have decided not to do the large part of the job at that time, since I had used a friend of the family to do two little bedrooms. Then, we just checked our minds and wanted to do the big jobs, so I went to Jack even after I had turned away and I spoke with him and he answered the phone promptly and I told that I wanted him to do the job. He told me they were all booked up till September, and said he will talk to his general manager and see if there was any crack anywhere. Then his general manager called me back, before the day was over to say that somebody had cancelled their appointment, so they can do this tomorrow. And, they came yesterday and they were there from 8 o'clock to 5 o'clock, did the whole job. They were three gentlemen, they were efficient, professional and they were very willing to help me move things that I wanted to shift out of the way.They did a really really good job for me, I was just anxious to put a good review for him. I know he is getting good reviews because he is all backed up because of you guys there is a reason for that. I had also gone to Sherman Williams and picked up the colors and then told jack the color of my choice. He was just very responsive the whole way and these people did a top-notch job, so I would highly recommend him and his people to anybody.

It was FANTASTIC! First of all I have 3 decks with picket railings on all of them. I had previously cleaned the railings and did some taping and Jesus Rameriz sanded them all first to start with and did an amazing job. Then he started painting all the railings and pickets with a small brush roller, a really tedious and gruesome job with brilliant white solid latex stain. After he finished all of that, he did some trim work around my sliding glass doors, french doors and windows to my kitchen. It looks amazing. He and Andre are both wonderful nice men and extremely pleasant and polite. I bought this deal on Angie's List, and would call Jack's Evergreen Painting again and again and would ask for Jesus Rameriz.

Here are the pros and cons. The pros: - Jack came and did the estimate himself. Very thorough. And he even asked if I wanted the painters to remove the old paint that painted over the bath tub silicone. Very happy with that offer. - The painters always showed up on time and they kept the place clean. - The edge of the ceilings were covered with wall color (it was burgundy red!) because the previous owner did a poor paint job. Andrey went through the extra trouble to find the ceiling color for us so the painters could paint over those red paint on the ceiling. The overall result was pleasant. - The painters were very courteous and always put on a smile. :) The cons: - The painters said they couldn't remove the old paint on the bath tub. They painted over it instead but the coating didn't have a straight edge so it didn't look professional. - There are places that needs sanding and re-texturing. They did a good job with sanding; but some re-texturing were not good enough. They left the less than perfect wall patching up job and hoped that the customer would not complain about them. On the plus side, they were quick to act and agree to fix it once we point them out. - Fine details along the edges were not exactly what we expected from a rather expensive job performed by people calling themselves professionals. - Quality of the paint used is still questionable due to the unexplainable patches on the wall a couple weeks after. All in all we think their service was good but can be better.

I contacted this firm March 13 to get a bid to paint the exterior of my house. While it looked in good condition for the most part, there were some problem areas that I wanted to correct before they became worse. Jack came out on this date, looked at the job, gave me a written bid on the spot, and told me I needed to get my gardener to trim the bushes back near the house. So that was my next job as I am my gardener! Jack's manager, Andre called me and we set up a date to paint, but before we reached that date, I decided for various other reasons to postpone this until June (when it never rains!) No problem, I was set up for June. Eric arrived early in the morning on June 4 and did the pressure washing. He told me they would wait a week before starting to actually paint to be sure the house was dry. June 10th the crew, Mario and Primo, arrived bright and early and spent the day prepping the house, which is a two story and has a few little odd areas. I didn't realize just how much work this involves and how many different sorts of materials are used. The next day they came around 8:00 am with the paint, ready to start work. I believe Andre was here for a bit to kick start the project and Eric was here for a time helping paint, as well. Primo and Mario worked diligently even through the "showers" that came, and that I was assured wouldn't happen or be a problem. Which they did and they weren't. As a bonus, one of them was a singer! Wednesday early evening they finished up with the trim and cleaning up. Everyone did a great job. Would I use them again? Absolutely. Will I refer them to neighbors and friends. Absolutely. In fact, one neighbor has used them for two houses and another wanted their contact information. I did my due diligence and got two other bids to do the job. Jack's was the lowest, (which I appreciate) but that isn't always the wisest choice For this project, it certainly was.

They did a great job, but there were some paint specks upon my kitchen floor so I wish they had protected the floor better.

From beginning to end, Jack and team were first class. Jack promptly returned our initial call and came out to provide a bid that same day. We did obtain other bids that were competitive, but reviews here on Angie's List prompted us to go with Jack. We were able to get on the schedule qiuckly and the job was done exactly as promised. Andrey was the ultimate in customer service, proactively communicating and ensuring we were happy every step of the way. We were a bit indecisive about colors and Andrey was patient as we worked through it. The job took multiple days but the crew left everything neat and tidy when they left for the day. As a busy dual career family, we especially appreciated Andrey's flexibility and willingness to accomodate our schedule for meetings (we met at 7:30am before they started the job and then later one evening for the final walk-around). While there were a couple of minor areas that needed attention after the painting was done, the overall job was of extremely high quality and the crew obviously had paid great attention to detail. We'd refer Jack's Evergreen Painting and Andrey with 100% confidence that they will deliver. Will be calling on them for our next painting project.

Excellent finish at the lowest cost compared to others in this business

They did a good job. I have no complaints. They were lower than other quotes.

I contacted Jack and got his voicemail. He called back an hour later and scheduled an appointment at my earliest convenience which was for later the same day. He was punctual, listened to what I had in mind then offered his suggestions when appropriate. (e.g. He suggested I use a particular type of Sherwin Williams paint which has a lifetime guarantee). He gave me his bid twenty minutes later. I was surprised at the price. It was cheaper than the price I paid eight years ago, when I had a different painter paint ONLY the south facing sides of the house. I double-checked that the price on the bid was the total price for the WHOLE house and Jack assured me that it was. I got four other bids. Jack was the most competitive by far. I contacted him and he said that he would send a crew out to pressure wash the house as soon as the weather improved. They did the pressure washing on a Monday and one week later (when it wasn't raining) came back to paint the house. Andrey was the overseer. Rene, Primo and Mario pressure washed, caulked, primed and painted the house. They were very courteous and very hard-working. Scraping off paint makes a mess but they always cleaned up at the end of each day. They usually arrived between 7:30 and 8am in the morning and when I returned from work after 7pm, they were still there. They finished the work faster than I expected (I guess the sunshine made the paint dry faster than usual). They did an excellent job on the house and I was happy with the results. Some of my windows are made of wood and I forgot to check them until after we'd done the final walk-through. I was a bit worried because from previous experiences, some companies take forever to show up to deal with problems after they've been paid. Not this company!! I called Andrey as soon as I discovered that I couldn't open some of the windows. This was on a Friday. Andrey said that they would be back in my neighborhood on Monday and we scheduled a time. Right on the dot, Rene and Mario showed up. They got out their extension ladder to help me with the second storey windows. Then, for completeness, they double checked all the ground floor windows as well before they left. I am very happy with the excellent work and service provided by Rene, Primo, Mario and Andrey. They were flexible and hard working and seemed intent on pleasing the customer. I'm thinking of getting some interior work painted and will be calling Jack again. Thank you very much.

It was okay. There was a lot of damage done to the walls in the removal, which we had to repair. We got what we paid for; it was cheap. It was not an easy wallpaper removal job but the walls were damaged a lot and we were going to do the painting ourselves.

The result was amazing. My house needed a new finish badly. Jack was not sure at first that he wanted to take the job because it was so big and difficult. I am grateful that he took on the challenge because the end results where spectacular. I have never seen paint take to wood like that. The Supervisor very carefully matched my paint choices to over twenty available primers. Jack's men are meticulous and incredibly hard working. I am very pleased

The owner Jack arrived promptly at the appointment time.Then things went downhill from there. When I was explaining how I wanted my trim color scheme, he started arguing with me that it would be more expensive said "I don't do it that way" and went on to explain the details of why. We lock our doors and our backgate and he also commented that "I don't do it that way" and "We are the first people he has ever met, that lock their gate". I found these comments rude and off putting. He suggested using cheap quality Parker Paint due to incorrectly assuming that we were selling the house and wanted the cheapest price. His estimate was middle of the road. Due to these comments, I got the impression that he would be very difficult to work with. Most of the negative comments from other customers appeared after the work was completed on my refereral's home. The also state that he is difficult to work with. That sealed our decision not to call back. ============== My response to Mr. Fecker cannot be posted on this website. He is doing himself no favors with his responses. Which pretty much confirm mine and other previous customers that he is a difficult and rude person. Blaming the customer for your bad manners is not professional. Yes you did tell us to use Parker Paint. I took notes after your visit. You also called after sending me the bid asking us if your price beat a competitor. Very Tacky. You wanted the job.

Removing Wallpaper they did a a good job. On the texturing, they had to do some clean up, but not bad. The repaint of the bathroom, given they removed the wallpaper and had to mud and texture the walls, that was a bit challenging. They should have removed the trim, and I suggested it, but they did not. So, along all the edges, I would say it is a fair job on the finish work. I still see areas that they certainly could have done better. I also asked them to give me an estimate and paint the bedroom and the backside of the house. They completed the bedroom, and they did a nice job. They never came back to paint the backside of the house. Not sure why.

They did exactly what we asked them to do, did it in a very timely fashion, it was high quality work, and we will definitely use them again. We have hired them to paint the exterior of our house and I will post a review once that is complete. Overall, we are very pleased with their work.

Person sent out was nice however not skilled to provide the service we had needed. in order to not waste the money spent he spent the time doing sanding and smoothing beams that had been sprayed at some time with popcorn.

I was looking for a bid and this was the first company to respond and came out to the house on Saturday so I didn't have to take any time off of work. The manager and the two painters arrived on time, worked very hard, did exactly like we talked about and were finished in two days. The two painters were very kind, did an amazing job and cleaned everything up as it was. It was so perfect that when we put our house on the market it sold in only a few days! I highly recommend using this company!

We had numerous bids for our painting project which was to repaint the exterior of our two-story home. Jack's was actually the low bidder, but that wasn't the reason for choosing them. I read the other reviews of them online and thought they could handle this project pretty well. Overall we are extremely pleased with the work. Their crew was very punctual, professional and did a fantastic job. Our home was painted a grey/blue color with white trim. We opted to have the shutters painted black as opposed to white (matching the trim) for some contrast. The painters actually went to the trouble of painting one shutter black and one white so that my wife and I could look at the house and judge which we preferred. It's the little things like this that really impressed me. They were so concerned with our opinion that they went the extra mile (and work) to ensure we were satisfied. If you are considering an exterior painting project I would HIGHLY recommend them. We have no complaints whatsoever. We also had them stain our front porch and back deck (two story) and both came out great. I'm sure we will have them come back to re-stain at some point. Their bid for the staining project was also very reasonable.

Their work ethic, pricing, and quality is fantastic. I highly highly recommend them and they'll be coming back to do our exterior as soon as I have the cash. I got 4 different bids and they were the best price and they could start right away. I wasn't looking to go for the lowest price. Quality and schedule was really important. With all the bids, Jack and Andrey were the most thorough. They asked many clarifying questions, made suggestions, and kept detailed notes that the other companies didn't do or didn't out as much effort into. They have 2 people do the bid and takes notes. They then compare notes and estimates to come up with their final price at the end of the walk-through. Other companies would leave and say they email the bid the next day. With Jack, you get it immediately at the appointment. They were the first bid so I didn't know what to expect for pricing. I politely took the estimate and said I'd made a decision by the end of the week. The other companies took 1 to 2 days to get their bids back, some had to be followed up on. In the end Jack's price was the best and I felt they had a better handle of the scope of the work (i.e. no bickering later on what was included or not). They arrived each day when they said they would. When they needed to juggle jobs and crew members, they let me know ahead of time and it never affected my overall timeline. All of the guys were friendly and hard working. My wife and I really enjoyed having them around and got numerous painting tips along the way : ) I'm picky about paint lines and these guys nailed it. I'm totally happy with all the rooms. We did 8 different colors throughout the house and the transitions are all spotless. When I saw something that needed a touch up, more often than not, Andrey already knew about it and mentioned others he was already on top of. No hiding of issues, no bickering, they were eager to take care of anything and make sure we loved the result. We had an incident with our Vinyl installer from another company. He was angry he had to work at the same time as the painters even though they weren't even in the same rooms. He started yelling and swearing at the guys and at one point started banging the walls that were freshly painted. I was pretty mad and a few of the painters were rightly upset as well. To Andrey's credit, he kept cool and was a total professional. He told the guys not to worry about it, let it blow past, and sort the dings out later. The guys repaired everything and never asked a dime for it (from me or our general contractor). We put samples of all the different paint on various walls and in different light. We thought we had thoroughly checked all our paint choices. We ended up hating the base color we chose once we saw it on the walls. Unfortunately the guys had worked extra hard and fast that day and had finished the stairway and all the hallways. They had done so much work that we agonized over changing it. We eventually approached Andrey and told him how we felt about the color, not sure what his reaction would be. He didn't blink and eye. Told us it happens a lot and not to worry about it. He (nor the crew) ever showed an ounce of frustration. We didn't have a replacement color picked out and needed the night to figure it out. Andrey immediately juggled the schedule to accommodate us, even gave us his paint sample books so we didn't have to go back to the paint stores for more chips. We paid to buy the new paint and the labor to redo the parts they had done which is what we expected and was fair. We had our hardwoods refinished at the tail end of the overall project. Andrey and he crew came back at the end to caulk the baseboards and touch them up. It turned out the hardwood guys were pretty sloppy and they got stain about a 1/4" up the molding of every door, hand prints and splatter on several finished walls. Really tee'd me off and was well beyond what I could expect the painters to fix given it wasn't their fault or work. Andrey was great yet again. It would take additional time he hadn't planned on, but he was totally cool about fixing it. $200 bucks to fix all the issues the hardwood guys did was extremely reasonable given the mess and how picky we were. He cared more about leaving us with a great looking house vs. keeping his schedule. He could have easily tried to have us do those touch ups ourselves with the left over paint but he and guys jump on it and made it perfect again. I really can't say enough about this company. Great price, great quality, great crew, totally flexible. They have a customer for life and I look forward to when they're back making our exterior look just as awesome.

We highly recommend this company for exterior painting. Jack gave our house a complete review and gave us the lowest bid of three Angies List bidders. The finished product was everything we had hoped for. His crew, with Andrey as job foreman, were hard working guys who all did excellent work. Thanks, Jack.
