Jack's Ever Green Painting

We had a leak in our ceiling near the fireplace. Mike arrived on time and was very professional. He peeled away the old paint to be sure the drywall wasn't wet/ruined. Luckily it was fine so Mike patched the existing drywall and painted. It looks great! I highly recommend Mike and Jack's Ever Green Painting!

He was prompt, clear and concise. His crew which was a father/son combo were very careful and sought my inputs about what was to be done, the paint colors, etc.

Jack's Evergreen painted the exterior of my 3800 square foot house. They did an excellent job at a fair price. the crew was professional, friendly and very receptive to any changes I requested. The painters take pride in their work and frequently checked in with me to ensure that everything was up to my expectations. we had a difficult time deciding on colors and they were accommodating and patient with us throughout the process. They advised us re: color and sheen choices and painted numerous samples on the siding to help us make an informed decision. In the end, we ended up with a color that we love. They worked long hours to finish the job on schedule and returned 4 weeks later to paint our new garage doors which had not arrived at the start of the project. |I don't typically complete these reviews; however, in this instance I felt compelled because I was truly amazed at how smoothly the entire process went. This is the third major painting project I've hired out in the Seattle area, and prior to working with Jack's, I really haven't had good experiences. It's not easy to find a company that provides top quality work at an affordable price and with a crew that clearly cares about quality and the customer experience. We could not have been happier with the service we received from the General Manager, Andrey, the lead painter on our job, Yair, and the rest of the crew. I highly recommend Jack's Evergreen Painting and plan to use them again on interior work we plan to complete later this year. |

Everything went well. They arrived and finished on schedule. The painting was done well and they were responsive to my requests to touch a couple spots up when I pointed them out.

So far we have been very impressed with them. He said it would be 12 hours and it only took 4 hours. They are highly professional.

The work turned out fine. The worker arrived early and he worked solidly the whole time. I thought he did a good job.

We had a good experience from start to finish. Jack was one of the few painting companies that actually returned my call and showed up to do an estimate. I liked that he was informative as to what needed and should be done with the job; recommending not doing all the outside trim because it was not needed. The crew showed up the same time everyday and were very pleasant and patient with me. Andrey, the General Manager came often to check on the work and was very helpful with suggesting colors. The wallpaper removal proved to be a challenge but they kept at it and the walls turned out wonderful. I enjoyed having the crew here for a week and found that i missed them after they were finished. The house looks great!

Scheduling went smoothly. The work was fine and completed to our satisfaction. The Big Deal took care of everything except dump fees.

They got all the wallpaper off in the time allocated in the Big Deal. I scheduled them to return and skim coat the walls and prime for painting. The worker thought the mirrors were glued to the wall. They were not, so they also removed the wallpaper behind the mirrors when they returned. The workers were courteous and professional. Andre was most helpful and accomodating with our slight changes to the project.

Andre from Jacks evergreen painting called within 2 days of me buying my Angies list deal to schedule the work. I had given them 3 dates that would work and I was given my first choice. I was told that someone from Jack's evergreen would be at my house between 8:00 and 8:30AM the day of service. Guillermo showed up at 8AM sharp to start my project. I showed him the bathroom wall with the wallpaper and he began working right away. He completed the job in 3 hours. My Angies list deal was for wallpaper removal for 8 hours which included removal and getting the wall paint ready.. Andre had come by to inspect the work and asked if I had any other wallpaper to remove. I did not and so Andre said he would send Guillermo back the next day for 5 hours to paint my wall. The service turned out good. They were at my home for about six hours plus lunch break. He was about 10 minutes early and the service was just really good. He had to cover the walls with a compound solution and that takes a while to dry. He showed me how to do it myself along with the sanding as time ran out for all of the wallpaper to be removed.

The owner himself came to view the job and provide the estimate. While not the lowest, their bid was less than half the highest priced bid. I was impressed with their many years of experience and knowledge of the specific issues related to our home. The team arrived on the day specified and worked to prep the surfaces for painting. Even though we had several days of rain during the project, they still were able to complete the job within the week. I was concerned about paint getting on the composite decking but needn't have worried. They took extreme care with the deck, windows, and ornamentation that could not be removed. Further, they cleaned up the premises at the end of each work day. This is the second time we have had this home painted and Jack's Ever Green Painting did a superior job. I would definitely hire them again.

Jack and Andrey came together, thoroughly checked all of the areas to be painted, and gave us a quote immediately. It was very important to us that the quote was for two coats, and that is their common practice. We were able to wait a bit, and they called to give us a start day/time within 4 weeks. On the scheduled day, Rene and Juan arrived right on time to begin covering all floors and taping in preparation to paint surfaces. Where light colors were used in our kitchen, it was necessary to do three coats-there was no extra charge, as it was part of the job to cover the old color. Primo joined the group when an exterior job was completed, and he, too, was very professional and thorough. All movement of furniture was done carefully. We truly appreciate the job done by all, and are enjoying our new, brighter wall color!

We again told him that we needed this done as soon as possible. It has been over 6 days and we have yet to get a call from his schedule person. I can't believe with such a small job that he couldn't get it done in a couple of days. Oh, and by the way, we went with another painter that came out 2 days later and was done in 3 hours. So sad that a company gets so busy that they don't have customer service! We would have been happy to use them for our fence and house next year, but not now.

Jack himself came out to give the bid within a couple of days of my call. The bid was fair and reasonable and when I called back on Friday afternoon to let him know that I wanted to go with his company he told me that his foreman would call me the following week to set up a date to do the work. Andrey called to set the appointment and by Friday of that week his crew was there to get started. I was told they would be there between 8 & 9AM and they were right on time at 8AM. The two man crew was very courteous and efficient and wasted no time in getting the work done. They came in and covered everything and set to work without delay. They were able to do both coats in one day so by 5PM that evening they were gone and the job was complete. All of the floors were checked for paint and cleaned if needed and there was no sign that they had been there other than the fresh paint on the walls! It was a very good experience having them here and I would absolutely hire Jack's ever Green Painting again.

They were very prompt and on-time. They were polite and efficient. They were perfect. I would definitely use them again.

I hired JEP to paint exterior on a 1 1/2 story craftsman bungalow that has been resided (including trims). Andrey's quote was very competitive. The crew was polite, professional and considerate. There were a couple of extra items that we asked for the team to paint and the additional charges seemed reasonable. Andrey was very helpful in assisting us with decision for the house color. He also went above and beyond to get us the front door color we wanted. The team took good care with touch-ups and cleaned up nice. Overall quality of the job was very good and the project was completed on scheduled as agreed upon. We would hire them again. Pictures show "before" and "after".

Jack was responsive and complete with his bid. He was the lowest cost bidder. He and his guys waited out some bad weather then wasted no time in doing an excellent job. His crew was hard working and conscientious. Jack is fun to work with.

This was a great experience from start to finish. the estimate was given by Jack in very timely fashion. They weren't the cheapest or most expensive - more or less middle of the pack. Andre and his crew were fantastic. I had a complicated painting job with LP siding that was delaminating in many places. It required a lot of hand priming and extra work that wasn't included in the estimate but was done without extra charge. Andre had very helpful suggestions about type of paint and color and worked hard to find exactly what we wanted. the quality of the work was excellent with great attention to detail, and despite the extra time it took for all the priming the job was done on time. Overall I would give them an A+. I liked them so much I hired them to paint the interior of my house

We bought a deal for drywall repair late last year and our order fell through the cracks. We were busy, though, and forgot about it. 6 months later, remembered it and contacted Jack's Evergreen Painting. They honored the expired big deal, came out, and did an AMAZING job fixing our drywall in half a day. The results were stellar, and you cannot tell there was ever any damage.

Wasn't interested in doing some of the work that was required. We wanted a trim board replaced in a couple of places, but he just wanted to nail the parts that had come apart from the main board back up. He had the highest quote and didn't perform the same amount of services. Nice man, easy to work with, extremely knowledgeable. He had obviously been doing this for a long time. We just required more work than his company ususally performs.

We cannot more highly recommend Andre and his crew. Andre was responsive and punctual from start to finish. He was very accommodating of schedule changes that we needed. He went above and beyond by helping us pick the paint color that would look best for our house given the many trees on our property. We had picked an unfortunate color for our home 10 years ago. We did not want to make the same mistake. But we are challenged in picking paint. Well we went and got about 12 different samples and put them around the garage. We asked Andre if he could please come out and give us his opinion. He readily agreed to this (at no additional charge to us). Thank goodness we had his guidance to avoid another paint disaster. We are so happy with the color he helped us select. It is perfect. We have gotten so many complements on the house. The paint crew worked incredibly fast and efficiently and worked a full days work for 2 days to complete a job much quicker than expected. We feel very lucky to have had the good fortune to wok with Andre and his crew.

We bought a $199 coupon good for 8 hours (one day). Jack's came by and thought this stairway/entry area could likely be done in one day (although one never knows). He did a good job removing the wallpaper, but in some areas the removal was also taking off part of the drywall paper and he wasn't sure what to do. I wasn't sure either, so asked for the manager to come by. He couldn't make it that day, so we ended up having to pay for at 4-6 more hours the following day. We really needed a good drywaller in to see what we should do. His boss came by the next day and basically said he couldn't do the drywall part of it even thought they do do that - he thought we needed someone that just did drywall. We then spoke with several drywallers who were surprised Jack's didn't take the job. So while we were pleased with part of the wallpaper removal, we weren't pleased with the decision to remove all layers in all areas, and we thought they could have helped us more with the next step. We ended up getting a drywall professional who skim coated the entire area ($$).

What does one remember about the work a contractor has performed? Professionalism, yes. Friendly/easy to talk to, polite? yes. the quality and professionalism of the work? yes, with caveats (see below). Were they considerate? yes. responsive, yes. Yes for Jacks' for all of these issues, but with caveats. BUt I will remember Jack's mostly for what they didn't do. Cleanup. There was no attempt to cleanup, paint chips, paint spots where they shouldn't be (like on our new screen of the new screen door). The door mat. The deck. The huge puddle left in front of the front door after pressure washing that WE took care of (even after talking to the foreman about it nothing was done). The lack of caulking, where needed. The lack of sanding where it showed the most. The lacking of sinking nails that needed sinking BEFORE the finish coat. albeit little things, but things I have come to expect from contractors with high ratings on Angies' List. Would i hire them again. not likely for exterior work. Jacks' painted my wife's office and did a nice job and were very clean. they did attempt to cut corners on the work, which did not fly. They replaced a switch cover but didn't replace the screws holding it in place. Anyone can put paint on, its not rocket science. The professionalism with painting comes with the prep work, being considerate of the clients living space and the cleanup.
