Jack's Ever Green Painting

The fellow (forgot name) arrived on the day and time agreed upon and worked 5 hours straight to remove the wallpaper in my powder room. He never took a break and closed the door the entire time to keep the dust and mess down and out of the rest of the house. There were a couple of small holes in the ceiling due to the wallpaper removal which he patched up. The wallpaper was stuck on pretty well. I tried to remove it myself and decided it was better to hire someone else to do it because it would have taken me about three times as long as it took him. He was a hard worker and did a good job completing it 3 hours earlier than expected. Also cleaned up after he was done.

My wife & I looked at 3 companies and decided to go with Jack's Ever Green Painting. Main reasons we went with Jack's were: 1) Pricing - fair & simple 2) Scheduling - his team could start the following week 3) Recommended - my Mom used Jack's to paint the exterior of her house and was happy with the result 4) Friendly & responsive - I called on a Friday, he was at my house on Monday at which time he wrote up the quote. We chatted a while, he patiently answered my questions, and he was someone who I felt comfortable working with The painting was to begin on a Tuesday, I spoke with Andrey (Jack's foreman) on Monday to go through the list of paint colors and finishes I sent a couple days before. Andrey came by the house on Tuesday with the two painters assigned to our job (Yair + another gentleman whose name I cannot remember), and we walked through the house making sure everything was well understood. My wife wanted to expand the scope of the original quote and include the laundry room + 2 smaller bathrooms, it was no problem and Andrey provided pricing back to us at the end of the day. By day two Andrey moved on to other projects and Yair was the lead for our job. He was a pleasure to work with, very friendly, and when I came home each day he would recap what they did along with what they were going to do the following day. They cleaned up at the end of each day, and the impact on our household was very small. The job wrapped up on Saturday when they painted the outside front door & trim and finished minor touch ups around the house. We walked through the house with Yair, confirmed everything looked good, and that was that! A couple things that really impressed me: 1) Jack's uses Sherwin Williams paint, but I had painted the downstairs hallway using Glidden. The hallway meets the entrance, so I was concerned about it matching. Andrey matched the colors and finish (eggshell) and brought a sample of the Sherwin Williams paint, but the paints were different in feel and didn't quite match. I told Andrey this, he said no problem, and for that particular color they bought paint from Home Depot instead of Sherwin Williams to make sure it matched and I was happy. 2) The ability of the team to paint crisp lines between the ceiling & walls. It looks like they taped it, but they didn't as Yair explained it takes too much time. Even with taping I could not have had such a great result. Based on this experience with Jack's, we will definitely be calling for all future projects. We had a very good experience and strongly recommend their services to all!

Our expectations were greatly exceeded from both a quality and quantity standpoint. Service was efficient and courteous. Will definitely use again for other projects- sheet-rock repair, painting etc. Except for a few glue stains you would hardly know wallpaper was ever installed. Very pleased.

We were amazed at how quickly and efficiently the primary repairs were completed beautifully. We were even able to get the original medicine cabinet recess (behind the mirror) closed up like new. All we need now is a little paint and we're good to go. Great job again from our favorite company.

Ordered special offer for four hours of drywall repairs and decided to have them do some painting as well. Their flexibility and cooperation was much appreciated as well as their professional work.

We signed up for a painting special, $399 for eight hours of work. I had one can of red paint in which to cover the hallway. Within one hour of painting we realized the red would not adequately cover the light walls without additional coats of paint. We ended up doing three coats to get the job done. The job required more time than we originally thought it would. Our painter worked eight hours straight on this and the garage walls and doors. In order to get the desired effect on the hallway walls, our painter advised us to switch the third coat to an eggshell sheen instead of a flat finish. The result was perfect for us. He returned the next day to do some additional work in the garage at our request. The cleanup and attention to details were excellent. The overall cost for this large job required us to hire him on an hourly rate. The total price for this work was reasonable.

This is the 2nd time we've used Jack's Evergreen Painting and we're just as happy with the results as we were the first time. Andrey came within a few days of my email request to give a bid and we had the drywall installers out within 2 weeks. The installers were on time, friendly, and took the time to tape and protect the entryway so they wouldn't track dust/dirt into the house. They finished the entire project in one day which was great! At my request they left the tape and plastic up so I could paint the walls the next day and not have to re-tape everything. It saved me a ton of time! We appreciate their professionalism and punctuality! The bathroom looks great and we can proceed with the remodel.

I have nothing but kudos to Jack's people. I'm a very OCD person and told that to Andrey who came to do the initial bidding. He said that that was no problem and gave me a fair quote although a bit on the expensive side. I was ok with it provided the job was top-notch. The crew who came was punctual, covered/uncovered the kitchen every day while texturing and painting the ceiling. After 3 days of working I was very impressed with the work they did. Previous painters I had hired for one part of the house couldnt deal very well with the texture and made excuses for poor labor, but these guys,even without tape, were able to do very very straight lines. During the process some paint didnt covered right the ceiling and they recommended to change the paint and got much better results. At the end of the work, they gave me tape and told me to go around the house, and even though I had minor things here and there, they even asked "is that it?" as if to ensure the job was super good. I'm happy with the results and would hire them soon for some left over rooms

Jack was extremely professional to deal with. His crew was punctual, friendly and tidy. The work was done neatly as well. The bid submitted by Jack was not my lowest or highest as far as labor went, but fell in between after working in the angies discount. His costing on materials (Sherwin Williams paint) was very fair. So overall the pricing was fair. I went with him as he was very prompt to return calls (which cannot be said for most contractors), I liked the methodical way in which he worked out labor hrs and materials and hence costing. This was very transparently discussed which I appreciated. In the end, his labor appx was bang on, the materials came in under the estimate and they very fairly charged me only for the paint that was mixed and used. I had a 2-storey entry, 2 hallways, a vaulted ceiling living and dining, stairwell and family room painted, with 2 walls done in an accent color. I would use their services again and have since referred them as well.

Jack came out and gave us a quote and he struck me as a knowledgeable person. He pointed out all the finishing flaws he saw and said his team could remedy them. He clearly laid out his pricing and availability and with his down-to-earth demeanor and straightforwardness won our contract. His team came out as decided and much of the first week worked on the finishing. However the finishing was not up to standard and I called the team lead to point out all the problems. At that point, I was told that the trim issues could not be completely fixed. Perhaps they had no way to figure that out earlier before, and I let it go, asking them to do the best they could and then repaint the trim. I had asked them not to paint the kids' rooms and bathroom walls, but after all the painting was done I found a prominent swipe of white paint on the bathroom wall. The master bathroom mirror was also broken while installing but they agreed to pay for it immediately. Just a pain to add one more item to the list before we could move into the house. The worst was that I found putty in the toilet of the master bath after the painters left. That was awful and we had to scrape it all out by hand. Unfortunately it was hard to figure out who was responsible since we also had a dry waller working in the house at the same time, and I didnt want to accuse anyone wrongly. However, the fact remains, someone dumped the putty there, and it could have been either party. The team lead was good about follow up and came back a week after the completion of the job to fix small patches of wall where i saw issues.

Everything went fine. They did a good custom job. He did everything we had asked him to do. Scheduling an appointment was fine.

1 laid down tarps 2 removed old wall paper 3 sanded walls fixed any irregular areas 4 clean up all areas of work 5 rehired to paint walls. excellent work.

It was a great experience. The painters were here early each day. They communicated through the process asked questions and provided information. Another company had a deal that would have been cheaper. I chose Jack's Ever Green Painting because they are local (and know the homes in this area) and because of the A rating. I spoke with Jack as winter was starting last year. We discussed when I should call to schedule to get in early and we also discussed what I should plan to budget for. I planned for $3,500 and his bid came in at just under $3,000 before taxes. There was a discount included for mentioning Angie's list. One of the more outstanding moments was reviewing the job at the end. You can really tell when someone puts pride in their work and is proud at the final product.

They were professional ,punctual, knowledgable and friendly. The service man was very friendly and knowledgable. He also gave me great tips for painting over the patch and per his instructions the repair looks perfect. Very happy Customer.

We would definitely use this company again and hope that Rick is there to do the work for us.

Person arrived on time. Unfortunately, I was on a heavy deadline and was not able to spend the time with him as I liked. He did an excellent job on the repairs. I had a bathroom mirror that was glued by contractors to the wall that was replaced damaging the drywall and a TV moved and the wall mount also took some hefty chunks. if I had the time to be with him some other things I wanted done would have happened. You need the time to let primer in a multi-step process to dry and I just ran out. Person was professional, clean and unobtrusive when I said I had to get things done. I pointed him in the right direction and he got it done.

It worked out fine although they had a temp to do it. But I did not have any issues.

We are very happy with the quality of the paint job and attention to detail in working around the chair rail, baseboards and ceiling. The painter was very friendly and helpful in deciding on the paint choices. He worked hard both days, was punctual and cleaned up at the end. We added onto the original job with painting the ceiling, closet and baseboards and they were able to schedule us the next day to finish the job. The price was very fair and the quality very high. We will be using their services again.

My dog went through a drywall scratching phase resulting in 4 spots on the lower part of 4 separate walls that needed to be filled, smoothed and textured. i had found and purchased a deal to provide 4 hours of drywall repair for $125. The contractor arrived promptly and completed the repair of all 4 dog-damaged walls plus was able to fix 2 additional cracks without any additional cost!

It went well. I initially had to push the supervisor Andrey, General Manager 206.518.7540 , to come out and look and discuss the job. When he did he was personable and things were great. We agreed upon things I could do to prepare and have the walls and ceilings to be ready for their painter to come in and work to get the most done. Andrey even suggested where I could get items to patch and speckle. The painter was super, he came on time, and worked hard. We finshed the job in the 8 hours. A team of 2 to 4 painters worked for four days painting the interior of my home. I was present during most of this time. They were very professional. They carefully protected the floors and all surfaces that were not to be painted. They painted two coats everywhere. The result was exactly as I had hoped. The rooms had been painted dark, strong colors, and we repainted them all white or off-white colors, brightening the house. Covering dark colors is challenging, and they did a perfect job.
