Went well. No surprises and when they finished there was no evidence of the modifications. Great job.

We had to have a garage door replaced in a condo so we had to select a door company that carried the exact same brand as the other garage doors in the complex. We had a guy come up and measure and told him, at that time, that we wouldn't be ordering for several weeks. When the time came we called, placed the order and on the appointed day waited for the installers to arrive. They were 45 minutes late for a and quot;first thing in the morningand quot; appointment. They took out the existing garage door and THEN discovered they had the wrong size garage door to replace it. They wanted to know what I wanted to do.....like there was an option. They reinstalled the original door and made an appointment to come back the next day. When they arrived the following day they made quick work of the install and were gone. Everything worked fine. HOWEVER....in the estimate they included new springs/coils which they never replaced. I was so irritated with the entire procedure I never called for a partial refund. In my estimation the estimator should have noticed the sheetrock in the garage would have had to be removed to replace the springs. (At least this was what the installer told me.) The installers were nice guys but obviously there's a big lack of communication between one part of the business and another. I will not use this company again.

Pacific overhead door installed the garage door opener in our house. Getting them to schedule the job took over 2 weeks. I should have stopped with their service right there but went ahead against my better judgement. Several times I was told I would get a call back from their service scheduler. I never received a call. I finally got a hold of Courtney and she was able to schedule a time for me. Things did not get better when it was time for the opener to be installed. The technician was on time but had an attitude that he would much rather be anywhere else. He was sullen the entire time he was here. During the install the technician kept saying that he wasn't familiar with these types of garage door openers and didn't think things were right. When he pulled the opener out of the box he set it on the cement floor and then pushed the entire unit away from him to make room. This completely scratched up the unit, both the metal motor casing and the plastic casing for the lights. He didn't mention anything about it and just continued his work. He took no care in where he placed the opener button, just loosely screwed in into the wall. He left wires just hanging everywhere even though the box had included pieces to secure the wires to the wall neatly. When he left he stated that he had the belt as tight as he could get it but it didn't seem right. All of this is wrong to begin with but the worst part was the customer service by both the staff and the owner, Jim, in the office. I followed up the install with a phone call to let them know I was unsatisfied with the install. A guy in the office, Rick, requested several photographs to show his boss. I sent the photos of the damage to the casing, poor wiring and loose belt. He let me know that he recieved them and would discuss it with his boss, Jim (owner), when he returned. I did not recieve a phone call for several days. I called the office back and left a message for Rick, requesting an update to the situation. I did not receive a call back. I called again a few days later and was able to talk to Rick. He said he had not talked to his boss yet but would do so immediately and I would receive a phone call back that afternoon before the close of business. I did not receive a phone call back that day or the next. A few days later I received an email from Rick which stated 'our installer said that he did not scratch the opener so we will not go any further with this problem'. I called Rick back and left a message for him to call me. No return phone call. Several days later I called again and asked for Courtney, since she had been able to take care of things for me with scheduling. She said that she was not able to help with this problem and that Rick had to talk to the boss, Jim about the problem. She promised me a call back by the end of the day. I did not get a call back. A day later I called back and was passed to Jim, the owner. Jim told me that he believed his installer and that if the installer said that he didn't damage the unit it must have come out of the box that way. Jim informed me that the installed knew what he was doing and had been installing openers for their company for several years. He told me that he could not believe my word over his installers and would not be coming out to fix the problem. I spoke to Jim twice over several days as after the first phone call he told me that he was going to go talk to his installer again. Jim did call me back when he said he was going to but then proceeded to call me a liar, without using the word, ans told me to call Chamberlain and try to get them to replace it. He said they would come fix the wiring but that we must have gotten a defective until and that Chamberlain would need to fix the problem. I asked for a different technician to come out to fix the wiring but Jim refused saying that the original technician needed to come fix his work. I requested someone different because the first technician didn't seem to know what he was doing and showed very little care for the final product. Jim refused. I asked to have my money refunded. Jim told me that "You are welcome to get your money back anyway that you can but I will NOT be giving it back to you." He was very rude at this point.
This is a company who does NOT stand behind their work and has poor craftsmanship. I recommend to anyone looking for a garage door or garage door opener install to stay far away from this company. Cost wise they are competitively priced to other installers.

It was great and they did a fabulous job. When something didn't work they came back the next door and realigned it to make sure it all fit. Our electric bills have been lower so it has been good for the house. They did a wonderful job and made sure everything was cleaned up.

This went very well. There was some confusion in the beginning on whether we could order the doors and install them ourselves (we couldn't, but one salesperson said we could originally), but other than that everything went very well. The doors were ordered, took about a week to come in and someone called to schedule a day to install them. The installer came and put them up in one day, and we didn't even have to be home while he was working. He also took away the old doors.

PACIFIC OVERHEAD DOORS DID A VERY, VERY NICE JOB INSTALLING OUR GARAGE DOORS. OUR OLD ONES WERE A PIECE OF WORK, SO REMOVING THEM WOULD BE QUITE A CHALLENGE, I WOULD IMAGINE. THEY DID IT QUICK AND EASY AND DID IT VERY WELL.

THE SCHEDULING FOR THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE. AFTER WE GOT THAT PROBLEM SOLVED, THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS GOOD AND THE INSTALL WAS VERY QUICK AND HE WAS PROFESSIONAL.
