I can start with home initial visit and the empty promise to do everything possible to make sure I was happy with the work. After that communication was poor, returning calls, scheduling and rescheduling was a common event. They work around their schedule not mine. It took them 3 months to complete job. Poor workmanship, lack of attention to detail, lack of common sense and they had to be reminded multiple times to clean and discard wasted material.
Description of Work: Water flood in laundry room cause floor & cabinetry damage. The extended damaged was to the wood floor. It had to be sanded, stain and finish. Water got to the heating/air ducting system and had to be replaced.

I continually receive bills for about $1,000.00 for work never performed, nor authorized by me.
Description of Work: Apparently my insurance company asked Evergreen Restoration to do an estimate of damage and cost for a roof repair.

RUN FAR AWAY!!!
Description of Work: This was a preferred contractor from my insurance company. Preferred, assumedly, because they applied for the program, and were the only competitors. What a joke this company is. After speaking with the receptionist and her promising a roofer, or someone that could get on my roof, would accompany the general contractor coming to assess the water damage, he never showed. Instead, I got Wade. Wade assessed what he could, but because Wade is a short, and extremely overweight man, he was unable to reach most places, especially in the bedroom that had water damage showing on the (low) ceiling. He promised a roofer would be out the next day. After multiple calls to the company, I never heard from him. Finally he calls my husband, who is out of state on business, and was specifically told NOT TO CALL. I call him back only to get a voicemail and no response. Wade finally calls me and in some laid back way explains they have other customers and he’ll figure it out. The professionalism is COMPLETELY lacking in this company. He was speaking to me as if I weren’t his customer, as if I owed him something. The roofer FINALLY called me this morning, and was so unprofessional and rude! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!? When I called to say I was DROPPING their company, and would rather go through the hassle of being my own general contractor, and dealing with it myself, he seemed surprised, and had an attitude like it was my loss. I have a hole in my roof with water damage causing potential mold and red staining all over my walls.. you’re right evergreen restoration, this isn’t of importance.. UGH!!! Every insurance company should drop them IMMEDIATELY!!

On the very first appointment, they were a no call / no show. I had to call the estimator to reschedule. It took them several visits to correctly contain the initial leak. On several occasions, the people they sent asked us if we were going to do the work ourselves. Why in the world would we hire a contractor for an estimate for work we were going to do ourselves? After leaving a giant black tarp nailed to our roof (the damage from which is going to cost more than the initial repair would have) and our kitchen in complete disarray, they sent us an estimate that had nothing to do with our roof repair and completely dropped all contact. I can not believe that this company is in business. I only gave them a 'C' grade in professionalism because a few of the handymen they sent out were in fact competent and polite. It was just the business that wasn't run very well.
Description of Work: They were hired through my insurance company to give an estimate and repair a leak in my ceiling.

They have horrible customer service! I have been trying to get this done since the beginning of Nov! Every time I call, they say they will call me back but they never do. I have written emails also. Nothing works! I am currently heating my crawl space because they won't come out and replace the duct work. I would love to put up a Christmas tree, but can't because I don't know if they will start tearing up my floor by then. They have been by 3 times to get samples of the wood laminate but when I called today, they had no idea that anyone had been out. When I told him, he said he was waiting on the flooring guys, then. He said he'd call me back tomorrow but I seriously doubt I will get a call. I am not going to have them finish this job. I could have done it quicker myself! UPDATE: After writing this review, contacting my insurance company and speaking with the owner of the company, they came out the next day to start work on the floor. The workers were super friendly and knew what they were doing. When the boards were removed, mold/mildew was found and they couldn't install the new flooring until that was taken care of. I called my insurance company and they called the contractor to come out and do an estimate. I called Evergreen and spoke to Scott who told me it may be today but could be tomorrow for them to do the estimate. Then, he asked if I could wait until after the holidays for the floors to be installed. There was an issue with the old floor not matching the new floor even though I was told it was an exact match. They are going to replace the entire downstairs now because of the mismatch. I told Scott that I'd rather it be done soon as Christmas is next week and walking around on subflooring is not ideal. My kids were getting splinters in their feet! UPDATE 2: It is now Feb 1st. The damage was on Oct 26th. The work is still not complete. I wish I could upload pictures of what they did to my house. After the floors were finished, a guy came in to re-install the baseboards. It took him over 10 hours to do the worst job I have ever seen. He didn't repaint all of them - he said I could do that if I wanted to (even though they were getting paid for it), there was caulk on the walls, it wasn't smoothed out, caulk on the baseboards (like he wiped his fingers off on the baseboards), nails sticking out of the baseboards. On one wall, he ran out of the original baseboard so he got new stuff that didn't match. He just had it right next to the old stuff...even though it wasn't the same design or thickness. I complained about it and the company did come out and completely replace the baseboards. Of course they charged the insurance company for it, though. They ordered the wrong transition strips for the job, so I'm still waiting on that. In the meantime, though, they received a check and want me to sign it. I looked over the invoice and I see that they estimated my floor to cost $4.69 sqft. This was quite a surprise since the floor they put in cost $0.99 sqft. Now, I understand this includes installation. But should installation cost $2600? I also noticed they charged for $1780 worth of things they flat out didn't do (paint walls, replace baseboards in rooms they didn't go in, repaint door frames, etc). This is downright fraudulent. The difference in the flooring has devalued my house price, my garage is a mess from the work they have done and not cleaned up, and I am just fed up with these people.
Description of Work: Evergreen came out and did an estimate for the flood damage in my house. The incident happened on 10/26 and all they have done so far is replace the drywall, paint and replace some baseboards. I need all new wood laminate flooring, carpet pad replaced, a vent duct installed and the carpets cleaned.

Over 14 weeks to perform minor work. No communication with either with us or the various subcontractors. We were obviously not important enough for them to bother doing our work despite paying 50% in advance. Why should it take 4 months to put in a floor and sink fixtures? We paid money in the first week of June and we are still waiting in the middle of September for the job to be completed. Good luck if you hire these guys! They advertise emergency repairs, but I would trust them to do anything in a timely fashion at all.

They were incredible, were very easy to work with, and were fast and good. I didn?t have to do anything. My insurance adjuster had worked with them for years and he recommended them because he felt like they did a really good job. Although the cost was covered by my insurance company, I guess that their price was pretty reasonable. I ended up having to wait around a lot, and it was not Evergreen that was the cause but the estimator that was assigned to me - he was a little bit slow. The people from Evergreen were punctual and professional. They did a great job, and I would recommend them to other people.
Description of Work: I used Evergreen Restoration to work on my whole house. They packed up my house and moved everything out of the rooms that they were going to work in and put them in the pot containers in the front yard. Even if there was a little piece of paper lying around, they would pack that up too. They tore out all the drywall and the insulation and sprayed for mold and mildew. They put new drywall in and new insulation too, and painted the house. They put in light fixtures in 5 rooms, in the bathrooms, the entire upstairs and the living room downstairs.
