Rainy Day Services installed gutters and downspouts per bid. The first heavy rain after installation, the water poured over the top of what was supposed to be the high (closed) end of the northerly side gutter system. We called for a correction. The owner of Rainy Day Services visited our home with his installer. He observed that the northerly side gutter system was incorrectly installed. The installer had installed the northerly side gutter system with a high area midway through the 34 foot run thus limiting drainage from the closed end of the gutter system. We all viewed the slope of our gutter system using my 6' level. We were embarrased that he chewed out his installer in front of us. The owner of Rainy Day Services agreed to reinstall this gutter correctly at a later date.

Several days later in a telephone conversation with the owner of Rainy Day Services he commented that he had decided that "he could not make water run uphill", implying that our new contractor installed roof system (new manufactured trusses) was not level.  He wanted to sell us an additional down spout and dry well system to drain what was designed to be the high end of the north side system.

I will never use Rainy Day Services again

I contacted 3 companies prior to going on vacation and wanted to schedule the work for my return. The only company that responded the same day was Rainy Day Services. The other two didn't call me back even when I called them a second time after I returned because I wanted to get three bids.

Rainy day, scheduled the repair with me before I left on vacation, came when they said, gave me a reasonable bid, and returned two days later to do the work. It rained a couple days quite hard and it appears that all is well. I was pleased with the service I got and would use them again.

The work was performed as requested. I called for service yesterday and they were able to come out to our house today to do the work. They were very helpful discussing the existing drainage and making suggestions to maintain the system. The repair of the inside gutter conter is guaranteed for a year. We will use this company again if we need gutter services.

First of all, they are very responsive. They had me scheduled right away. I had to re-schedule, and again they were flexible and accommodating. They understandably have a minimum charge, and since I needed only one strip of gutter installed, I fell under that minimum (hence the B under pricing). If I had a bigger job, I'm confident their pricing would be very reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

Discussed alternatives with me, gave me a bid and then returned to do the work. In the process, made an adjustment in how the roofing next to garage gutter to make sure it drained correctly and did not damage the roof or fascia over time.

It was a little tricky getting under the patio cover that crossed the roof line in two sections. They couldn't quite match the color to the existing trim, but the color that was suggested (from many sample colors that I was shown) is so close that the difference is probably only noticeable to me. In the estimate, it was recommended to get larger down spouts and metal grate leaf guards to take care of the overfil problem that the old gutters had. The estimate appointment with Cheryl was very helpful, informative and thorough. All my questions and concerns were discussed and resolved and with a fair bid. Cheryl is an enjoyable and knowledgable person to talk to. The work started on time and didn't take long at all. I also had rain barrel divertors that I had purchased on line and they were installed on each downspout. They did a beautiful job. The old gutters were always overfilling and waterfalls would appear constantly at the two inside corners. The larger downspouts and the grate covers should take care of that. It has yet to rain hard enough to test it out, but it is raining today, and my patio is dry! So far….. I am very pleased!

The estimator came out right away to give us a bid. They were able to
schedule installation to coordinate with another contractor who was painting
our house the same week.
John (the owner) and his assistant showed up right on time and got
right to it. They seemed very professional and had the relaxed, confident vibe
of people who know what they are doing.
They got the job done in a timely manner and it looks awesome.
Note: The inside gutter corner next to the front door looked expertly done - no ragged metal edges. All seams were sealed nicely.
In talking with John, he told us that it was his 25th year in business in the area.
Thank you, John for a job well done. We appreciate it.

Rainy Day crew showed up at about 9 AM and were done by noon. 2 x 65' gutters replaced. Estimate matched work done. Upgraded gutter on tree side of building with screening at a reasonable cost. They didn't push the upgrade, I asked and they provided the service. Also repaired some fascia board with aluminum cover and flashing from the roof to the gutter where the roof was a bit short. All costs were explained in detail. VERY friendly crew! Jon and his folks did a wonderful job. Checks or cash only. They explained why no credit cards and for a small business on a tight profit margin it made great sense. I'm recommending them to the neighborhood.

There have been a few big snow events around here the last few years that caused progressively worse damage to our pole barns gutters. After the last one in January, the gutters were mangled.
I contacted Rainy Day Services and was given a phone estimate of $253.

After the installers arrived, we discussed installation options and I went with having clips installed every 18 inches for added strength.
The job required more special clip hangers than was communicated to the installer. So he had to call the office to have more delivered. These added clips and added installation time caused the bill to be $476.

About an hour later, the install job got underway and went very well.
The installers were very professional and courteous and know their business.

I called Rainy Day, and they said I just needed a few things tightened and didn’t need them replaced. I really appreciated their honesty.
