+ -1 moreWhen they quoted us, we had some honey bees in the trees lining the street and some yellow jackets flying around the honey bees. This was a condition we had inspected by a pest control company several times while we were trying to sell our house, and they did not find a nest present on the property. I had been mowing the yard without problem, but when we moved, and Barefoot Lawn started mowing, they immediately said we had a hive on the property, and recommended a pest control service. Since we had just had a service inspect the property a day earlier, we did not have their service come out. They said they couldn't continue mowing our lawn, which left us in a lurch since we had already moved. The fact that they required a six week contract with an extra payment for fertilizing up front and then they cancelled the contract without refund along with the suspicious referral to another company for more services leads me to not recommend working with this company again in the future.

+ 1 moreThey do a great job. They even learned how to put our barricade back up to keep our escape artist dog in. We have been happy customers for at least ten years. The cost below is an average over the entire year as some months are more expensive because of the summer months. They provide extra services during the summer, fertilize moss control and perimeter pest control.

+ 0 moreWe're pretty happy with them, they do a pretty good job, mowing is great, and they are also fertilizing. I had spoken with them because I wanted it a little bit greener than what they are doing but overall I would recommend them. They're afraid to do too much in the summer I guess. They do a really great job mowing it evenly and edging, and cleaning up after that, even if it's raining. They are really reliable that way. The lawn mowing I would give an "A", but the fertilizing part, which they kind of require you to do a whole package, so some people might not like that. They won't just do the lawn mowing. The price is quite reasonable.

+ 0 moreIt went fine. As is said above, I called them, they came by when I wasn't home, left a price sheet on the door and were a little higher than I can afford to pay.
Description of Work: They gave me an estimate of $36/mow/weekly in the summer and bi-weekly in the winter. They are a little higher than I am prepared to spend. I'm a senior on a limited income. They were prompt and left a price sheet on the door. I didn't meet them. Currently, I'm using a teenage grandson of a neighbor, until Sept. when he goes to college. Then I might be looking again.

Description of Work: Barefoot has cared fora my lawn for about 10 years. They mow, trim, fertilize, and spray perimeter of my home for insects. They also apply weed or moss killers on lawn as needed. The owner is totally professional and on those occasions when a problem popped up he corrected it at once. They are not inexpensivebUt they hire good people and have high standards for their work.

+ -1 moreI needed lawn service as I was going out of town for a couple weeks. Called several companies in town, and Barefoot came out and gave me an estimate THAT DAY. The only thing I didn't like is that I only needed service for two weeks, but they have a six week minimum contract. It was pricey but they did a great job.
Description of Work: Expensive, and they require you to have at least six weeks of service. They did a great job though and were very responsive. I will use them again if I need lawn care while I am away.

+ 0 moreThey come in every week for my regular weekly cutting. Their price varies depending on what services they offer. For example, last month they power washed my driveway and the monthly bill was $500 but normally the cost would be $230 to $250. They mow every week in the summer time. They also do pesticide around the perimeter of my house. They do fertilizing and any kind of lawn service that I want to select from what they offer. I have had them since the year 2003 and there is nothing about them that I dislike. They are a family owned local company and they are very good. The owner comes right out and takes care of things whenever there is an issue which is not too often. They are very professional.

+ 1 moreThey come once a week, but the last time I actually talked to them was about a month ago. I don't remember what the bill was because we did a lot of stuff to start out with. Now it is just the monthly bill. They are great.

+ -1 moreI have been using them continuously since 2003. They come out every couple of weeks for mowing. The bill depends on the kind of work done on my lawn. It’s a small local business, so they give very personalized service. They are extremely professional too. If anything is done not to our liking usually the owner would come out to check it out and take care of it. The only thing I don’t like is that they don’t do flower beds, but only lawns. They also provide pest control service around the perimeter of our home. I would recommend them because they have the same employees all the time. They are consistent and do a good job. They know what our lawn needs and don’t try to sell us things that we don’t need.

+ 0 moreI think Barefoot is an Outstanding small business and I have recommend them to many other homeowners in my community. They are, however, not cheap. My yard always looks good! And, I get inquiries from visitors and neighbors about I manage to keep my yard so neat. Barefoot has helped me to control new grasses that have started to appear in the back yard, and when I called Barefoot about this problem, they immediately worked out a solution with me. Two men work on my lawn - they are efficient and considerate of my other plantings and lawn furniture, etc. Kirk and his wife respond to e-mails and phone calls very quickly. They've never let me down.
Description of Work: First, it is important to note that I have used Barefoot Lawn since 2003 and they charge $35 me for lawn maintenance (Mowing and haul-away, sometimes raking leaves, trimming, spot weed removal, and cleaning off driveway and sidewalks). They DO NOT do "yard-work" as in flower bed maintenance, but you can purchase bark mulch from them at $75 per cubic yard. Barefoot does not ask residential clients to sign a contract but they mow ALL YEAR, less in very cold months. (some people do not like this, I've discovered) Barefoot offers useful personalized services such as fertilizer application, perimeter pest control, lime and aeration, moss control, etc. I have used just about all their services and have only had one problem in the past 7 years. Kirk will visit the property himself if a special issue arises. They cost out a good estimate for any of their additional services so that you always know how much it will cost for the fertilizer application, lime application, etc. Each month I receive an itemized invoice - I've discovered other yard work companies do not always do this, so I appreciate it very much.
