several projects around the yard and our lawn mower broke. They came and picked it up and had it repaired and back to us the same day. I highly recommend them for purchases & repairs.
I would never recommend them and am reporting to BBB.
"Don't bad mouth our organization with incomplete facts. We're off to help our many repeat satisfied customers. Town & Country Tractor has been servicing many satisfied customers since 1995. A big thank you to all our customers!"
I used Troy Bilt Weed Wacker only about 4 times but it broke which I bought for about $175. I was told by Troy Bilt to take it to Town and Country Tractor in Monroe as it's under warranty for 2 years. So, I went. They took my info and took the wacker saying that they will work with Troy Bilt to see the damage is under warranty. That's fair. I heard nothing from them for about 2 wks plus. They said that they are waiting for a part from Troy Bilt. Later same day, they called and the man said it's done so come and pick it up. So far so good.
I had my computer at IT place so I picked it up and decided that I had enough time to go and pick up my wacker for weekend working on the lawn. Forgot that it was traffic time and it took me 1 hr to get there navigating thru construction on the highway and commuter's traffic.
When I got there, the problem started. There was a mean woman there and I asked for my wacker. She took her sweet time and came back without my equipment. She said I have to pay her $75 or $79 just in case Troy Bilt does not pay them. She says she does that all the time. When she gets paid, they will mail me the check. I told her ... wait, are you just making sure you get paid no matter what and I get shafted if they don't? She said "You bet". She started to ring it up. I just lost it. I told her to keep it and walked out popping mad. From the parking lot, I called Troy Bilt but they couldn't do anything for me. I went to Home Depot and bought Stihl wacker which is much better and American made.
I tried to think about this but I can't. Think about this. If I take anything for repair at any shop, they give you the estimate and I have to okay it to start repairing. If they see something more, they call you to give you revised estimate. It gives you a chance to say YES or NO. This shop got the part from Troy Bilt for free. They didn't ask me to pay for the part before they ordered it! So, why are they using me as a bank? Why would I pay half of the price of the wacker to have it fixed that may break again for the same part to wear out prematurely? Why would I trust Town & Country Tractor in Monroe, WA if they don't trust me ... they certainly doesn't trust Troy Bilt!
I called Troy Bilt about 3 times after that urging them to stop using them as their authorized repair dealer. Because of them, Troy Bilt lost me as their customer.
The cost of service, I put down as $170 because they stole my wacker. I am not going to buy anything from Lowe's again that sells Troy Bilt equipment. I won't buy Troy Bilt again. I certainly will not buy anything from this trashy Town & Country Tractor. They don't care about customers. I hope they fired that woman ... but she acted like an owner. Don't go there.
They did not carry parts for our brand of equipment but took the time to find a suitable part that could be configured to work. They installed it and showed us how to use it. They were friendly and efficient. We appreciate when service persons are willing to come up with solutions for challenging circumstances.
We will definitely be going back to them when we need repairs or new parts.
