this was a first visit----the company has to order the springs needed to get pricing and apointment time for the actual repair to be done.

They were able to fit me into the sechedule the same day I called. I was very pleased with the prompt, courteous service.

The tech that came out laid out the options on how to repair, along with the costs. Unfortunately they didn't have the part on their truck (they came out with a cross bar but it was the wrong size for our model door) but came out the next available day with the part to complete the repair. Due to the age of the door, I was concerned about the door springs and when they would fail. Rather than upselling me on replacing the springs now, the tech showed me how to test the door periodically to get an indication of when they were nearing failure, which was greatly appreciated. The price for the repair was very reasonable and when I do find that the springs are nearing failure I'll definitely have them out for that work as well.

The guys showed up early/on-time (they called first so I was expecting it.) They were very nice. They did the work, advised me it was an old system but did not give me a hard sell to purchase anything. When they went to close the garage door something in the unit exploded and the unit started smoking. Apparently that can happen when they open and close the garage door a lot with older units. Since it was a Friday they replaced the blown item at no cost so I would not be without an opener. As they were pulling away I realized my remote control was not working so I flagged them down as they were driving away. They made an adjustment and everything worked fine. I put Quality at a "B" because of the blown item, and failure to ensure everything worked before they left. If I had not discovered the problem with the remote while they were still in sight I would have had an open garage door until they could come back to correct it.

It turned out the the noises were not coming from the garage door rollers. I ended up not needing exactly what was covered by the Big Deal, but they took care of it and it all worked out in the end. The experience was fine and the technician was nice.

It went very good Tech was on time gave some recommendations for the future, did a very good job. Will use them again when there is a need.

He redid the work I had done by a man sent from the company who made the opener and stated the guy didn't even oil or grease the work he performed. He was very informative with everything he did and worked the whole time. He had all the equipment with him so was able to replace all parts. The next day the owner of the company called and asked how the service was and to see if I was satisfied. I I would definitely refer this company and use them again.

They were good, but they took longer then they had said they would. They originally thought the work would take 3 or 4 hours, but it ended up taking all day. There were some technical problems, but they stood behind their name and got the problem fixed.

I bought an Angie's list deal for $49 dollars for servicing the garage door. It was unclear on the deal whether it was for one door or all the doors and the service guy who came didn't clarify before the service was done. Apparently I should have purchased one deal per door but only bought one total. He serviced all three of our garage doors then he got approval to charge me the "deal" price for only one of the additional doors and the third one was free. The doors work great and he was very apologetic for now clarifying the pricing situation sooner and was great to work with.

I was not unhappy with the work, but I feel that was over-charged. I'm embarrassed to have accepted their quote. This is a case of "buyer beware." When you purchase an Angie's List Special Deal, you are locked in to what you've already paid, and the provider knows that you are not getting competitive bids. Don't let them up-sell you once they come out to do the service. Yes, this is the oldest trick in the book, but it still works. Lesson learned! I over paid a lot for 40 minutes of work.

The spring and cables broke as the door was coming down when the car pulled out. I don't know if it would've damaged the car if it was inside the garage; it would've left little room for anyone to work. After reading Angie'sList reviews, I decided on Sound Door Services but dialed the competitor's # by mistake and being Labor Day (9/3) most would be closed so it went into voicemail. Realizing the mistake, I dialed SDS and Jon picked up right away. I told him what the problem was and he scheduled to have someone over the next day (9/4). Technician Dave showed up promptly, assessed the problem and provided quote. I approved it and Dave proceeded to repair the damage. The job was completed as scheduled and tested successfully. Upon completion, he gave me lots of options to pay and with his tablet the transaction was done in minutes. My receipt showing up in my email in my smart phone right away, the receipt in nice PDF format. Impressive use of technology to facilitate their mobile office and data communication. Dave was a pleasant to work with and Jon called later that evening to make sure that I was satisfied with the job. My 3 garage doors are scheduled to be replaced in a year or two and Dave gave me a rough estimate on it. When that time comes, Sound Door Services will be my first choice. A satisfied SDS customer. Bought the big deal from Angies list. They showed up to also do some other work (replacing the gaskets on each of the doors and replacing a dented panel). After rescheduling my job 2 other times (because they had other jobs that came up or something, guess I was not that important....) they finally showed up. The got to work quickly and installed the panel in just under an hour. and after it was done, i came out to take a look and guess what....they installed a new panel with dents on it. So, i told them I did not pay to have a new panel with dents installed. it got the dents on the truck when they secured it to their rack. I understand that stuff happens, but dont understand why they would put it in and think I would not notice or care. I called and explained the situation. and they said "are you sure it is dented??" Well, im not blind...and I can see the dent, feel the dent.... "yes" was my response. So a few weeks later they came back and did it again to my satisfaction. Given the rescheduling and the dented panel, plus I paid for the reconditioning package (only to be told that I really didnt need it because I already had nylon rollers, etc......) I felt like they did a decent job tuning, lubricating and etc. They had great suggestions on how to take care of things and what to look for. I felt they were honest in telling me what was going on with all the parts and they told me what I could replace now vs. waiting another couple of years. I was not overly impressed, but kinda felt like I overpaid for what I got. Given that they were honest and tried to make it right, I'll give them credit for that. If there was an emergency, I'd use them if I had to, but I will look for someone else next time.

I got the company information from Angie's list 9/5/12 in late afternoon. I called and John answered immediately, discussed problem and made appointment for the next morning. By 10am my garage door was fixed! The repairman was professional, efficient and made me feel very comfortable. Thank you

We had a really good experience with Dave, our technician. He was prompt and pleasant, and was able to understand and fix the problem quickly. I had initially purchased an Angie's deal for new rollers, but he said that ours were fine, so he credited the amount we'd already paid toward the actual necessary repairs. It was more than I wanted to spend, but given the scope of the problem, I feel like I got great value for my money. I would definitely use Sound Door Services again!

Called John and unlike a leading competitor, he sent someone out to give me a free estimate the next day. Estimator was prompt and thoroughly answered my questions. The garage door was installed the next business day without a hitch. No mess left behind whatsoever. Neighbors have commented about how nice the new garage door looks. I refer them all to Sound Door Services! It was a seamless experience with them from start to finish. I highly recommend them and would use them again if ever needed.

I called Sound Door on a Monday and scheduled for a Thursday appointment. They called Thursday on their way, and arrived on time. They were extremely professional and gave me an estimate of work. They completed their work on time and cleaned up. My garage doors are fixed and work beautifully! thank you.

I had the Angies list coupon for the door servicing as well as the roller changes. In addition i also got a keypad installed outside the garage. The technician came in at the time specified , did an excellent job and explained to me what he was doing. He also installed the key pad and help me configure the home link on my vehicle. Setting up the appointment was a no hassle affair and overall it was just a smooth and easy setup. I would definitely recommend them to others. I however feel they did overcharge for the keypad but i wouldn't hold them responsible for it since they did tell me the price beforehand and i had accepted it. The same keypad on Amazon was a about 1/3 the cost.

Sound Door Services is a professional organization. They fixed my garage door prmoptly and professionally. The beaing in the main motor needed replacement. They were punctual and did a good repair job. There was a slight disagreement over the promotion but after speaking to the owner, the issue was quickly resolved to my satisfaction.

We have used Sound Door Services in the past when we had a faulty control board in our old opener, so when the certificate for discounted door maintenance popped in our Angieslist deals folder, we jumped right in. Right around this time, one of our cars was broken into, and the door remote (and paperwork with our home address) was stolen.John was able to quickly turn around an estimate for a new opener, and we scheduled service within the week. Total installed price was extremely reasonable, and I found John to be friendly, helpful and prompt from start to finish. I hope we don't have any issues with our garage door from here on out, but if we do we'll certainly call Sound Door Services.
