Description of Work: I took advantage of the Angie's List special offered by Sound Door Services. The technician was on time and polite. He replaced the rollers with quieter nylon rollers, tightened up the loose fasteners, lubricated everything and inspected the motor which was all part of the deal. I had some questions about the door and its fit which he politely answered to my satisfaction.

Sound Door Services came out promptly and while they didn't have an appropriate spring as part of their regular stock, were able to source one and honor their on-going special for a spring replacement, which saved us much expense and hassle of having to potentially replace the whole door. They were very friendly and answered my many questions. Plus, they did a "tune-up" as part of the spring replacement, which has made the whole system operate much quieter as part of their package of service. Would highly recommend!

Description of Work: Service provider performed an overview of garage door function and then replaced the rollers and lubricated all working parts, as well as the garage door opener. He took note of the door model and suggested, should I require future service, that I request a new bottom seal for the door. Service took about 20 minutes. The door operates smoothly and more quietly. He was unable to adjust the sides for a tight seal due to settling of the garage floor.

They showed us all operation dos and donts for the doors and answered a our questions About two weeks later we had a question about the sound a door was making when it was opened and they came out very quickly, checked it out and said all was good sound was normal

He tested the door's up and down function. The door has worked perfectly since and the horrible screeching noise and jamming has stopped. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat.

 + -1 moreAfter calling to get an estimate they were quick and flexible in meeting times. With working during the day it was difficult for me to meet, but he was not only flexible but on time, quick and professional. After accepting the estimate he was able to fit me in quickly and even made the effort to see if he could get me in sooner. The installer showed up on time and was quick and efficient with this work. After the installation he went over all of the new equipment and even mentioned a couple of issues he'd noticed in my garage that fell outside his work.
Description of Work: They came out and gave me an estimate of the work required to replace my broken garage door. For the job they removed the old garage door and installed the new one. The new one included an automatic opener, runners on the sides for increased insulation, and the door itself.

 + -1 moreThe man that installed the door was very nice. The job he did was wonderful. Quick, clean and the door is very nice. The price of the door was the best we came across. We did several estimates before we decided on them and found that Sound Door Services was half the price of what some of the other companies wanted to charge. I highly recommend Sound Door Services for any replacement of a garage door, they do a fabulous job.
Description of Work: They removed our old garage door and the garage door opener from the ceiling. They also will get rid of the old door if you choose, we chose to get rid of it ourself. The gentleman then checked the rails that were in the garage to make sure all the hardware was tight and ready to put the new door on. He then proceeded to install each of the pieces of the door and then hooked them together. Our cement floor of the garage was uneven and some carpentry work needed to be done and they were able to complete that and make the door fit correctly. It took them about 3 hours to complete the whole job. Everything was cleaned up and the door was installed perfectly.

 + -1 moreWAS A GREAT COUPON OFFER FOR ROLLER REPLACEMENT. THE ONLY PROBLEM I ENCOUNTERED WAS THE REPLACEMENT WAS FOR A LIMIT AMOUNT OF ROLLERS. THE LIMIT WAS 10 AND I HAD 12. HAD TO PAY THE EXTRA $20 DOLLARS TO REPLACE THE OTHER TWO. YOU MIGHT WANT TO INCLUDE ALL LIMITATIONS ON YOUR COUPON OFFERS.

 + -1 moreI called Monday morning and was able to get an appointment for Wednesday afternoon. The man arrived a little early and said I just screwed up the settings. He fixed it for free (!) and just told us to think of them the next time we need work. I was VERY grateful!
Description of Work: Fix broken garage door. Sunday night, I went to close the automatic garage door, but it kept opening back up (as if it detected something blocking it). In the course of trying to fix it, I made it work, changing the limit settings so that, when it closed, the motor would keep pushing and the railing for the chain would start to bend!
