Dave showed up a little early and took the time to listen to what I was concerned with. He took the time to explain what Sound Doors could do for me and then did a exam of my door systems. It took him about 15 minutes to fix the first door and another five minutes to find a worn gear in my other unit. We discussed my options and decided to replace that unit when I buy the new doors. We went over what i needed in a new door and he gave me a bid right on the spot. All in all it was a very pleasurable appointment.

They came, they saw, they fixed it.

Very positive experience. The service person arrived on time, checked the door, found the rollers needed replacing and replaced them. He said the door was getting old and was very heavy and we might want to think about replacing it. We are going to follow his suggestion.

The tech was really knowledgeable and professional. He was on time and worked proficiently. He looked at all the springs in addition to the rollers on the garage doors and showed us where the rollers where starting to crack. He then fixed both garage doors and they have never worked this good since we have owned the house. No creeking or sputtering as the doors go up. I would highly recommend Sound Door Services.

Purchased Angie's List garage door tune up special. As soon as tech walked up to the 10 year old garage door I was told I needed an additional $395 upgrade/part replacement. This is literally within 30 seconds of seeing the door (already open) and without actually seeing it in operation. I felt like I was being upsold additional unnecessary services and the special was a teaser to get in the door. I declined the additional repair and the tech performed the basic service I had already paid for. That service went quickly with no issues and the door now operates as new; quiet and smooth operation WITHOUT the $395 part. Overall I am satisfied with the repair performed and the cost, but still question whether the additional suggested repair (with little diagnosis) was necessary.

The provider was prompt, quick, and professional. No more noise; no problems of any sort.

The serviceman arrived on time and went right to work. He performed all the services that were advertised. There was a persistant squeak that he had trouble locating. He kept working until he located where it was squeaking and was able to fix it. The garage door is still working great.

They were punctual. Finished their job well done.

Professional, punctual and fast. Our garage door is so quiet that we can no longer hear it opening or closing from inside the house. The opener doesn't sound like it's laboring any longer...definitely worth the money.

I have used this company twice and have been very pleased both times. They are prompt, skilled and informative. The first time, I had minor work done and the service person said the other work could wait for a year or so but would need to be done then. He was absolutely right and a year later, the second service was performed exactly as predicted. The price was "as quoted" and the work was completed in a timely manner. I would definitely use this company for garage door service in the future.

Very smooth, no complaints about the tech that came out to the house. Office personnel a bit unorganized but could have been having a tough day!

My 2/26/13 call reporting a buzzing immobile garage door was promptly returned and a technician dispatched within 5 working days after many assurances from me that the delay wasn't a problem. He arrived on time and cheerfully diagnosed the problem as the chain/mechanism catching on a bolt near the motor housing. He explained the problem and made several adjustments, testing the door repeatedly each time. I paid a service charge of $95. When the same problem occurred less than 2 weeks later, I called again and the same technician came out on 3/14; this time he replaced a part which he showed me had too much "give" to it. There was no charge for the trip or the part this time. The thing I really appreciate about this company is the attempts to keep me from having to buy a new garage door opener. I also liked the demonstrations and clear explanations for the problems discovered. At the last visit I was told that I probably would need to buy a new opener if it failed again. However, the original service fee would be applied to the cost of a new one. Very happy with this company, and will definitely use them again when necessary.

Sound Door showed up right on time, explained the work to be done, did it in the time frame, and the garage door is much smoother now. Also provided some future maintenance tips - excellent job!

They were pushy but other than this they were considerate. They did a good job and I would use them again in the future.

The technician showed up on schedule, discussed the plan and went right to work. The work was performed as promised and when he was done he reviewed what he had done. He was professional and courteous.

I was expecting them to do a more thorough job, and I felt that the price was high compared to the work performed.

Repairman showed up on time and did the job efficiently.

Jon's price was the lowest bid we got and I was a bit worried that maybe the quality would not be up to par. I have to say we are so happy with the work and doors. He was very responsive (even on weekends), gave us a few homes with similar doors to drive by, and on time with everything. His installer was polite and he left the garage looking as good if not better than when he got here. We would definitely recommend Sound Door and will use them again if needed.

I selected Sound Door Services due to the Angie's List reviews and Jon did not disappoint. He gave an estimated diagnosis over the phone based upon my description of my 15-yr-old garage door making a terrible metal on metal loud sound. I had already had the spring replaced a few years ago by another company so had thought it was possible I needed to replace the whole system due to its age. Jon felt it was a fairly simple fix though from my description. He made an appointment to come to my house within 24 hours and showed up on time. The problem was indeed what he had thought and he fixed it within 30 minutes. Jon is very professional and volunteered the discounted price due to my selecting him from Angie's List. I would have forgotten otherwise. I will call Jon again if I need any other repairs in the future and highly recommend him to others.

I think they did an okay job. There were additional costs, but they completed the repairs. I think they are knowledgeable in what they do.

Jon was amazingly responsive and professional. The door configuration I wanted was not a stock item but during his inspection Jon contacted the manufacturer to make sure it was something they could do. While still on site after his inspection and we had discussed various options, Jon gave me a detailed binding estimate on the spot. The installation was absolutely seamless -- after Jon and his installer were finished installing and testing the new door they cleaned up after themselves and hauled away the old door, all of the associated debris from the old installation and then some. It went great! Dave arrived when promised and completed the job within 30 minutes. It was the original door installed in 1983. It now sounds as quiet as an adjoining new door. Dave even went the extra step to help me program a garage door opener for our car. I was very happy with the service. This was the first Big Deal that i purchased from Angie's List. I was very impressed and happy with the result

I think the service with Sound Door Services was a waste of money. The house we were in at the time was built in 1965 and the garage doors were quite old. I do blame myself for some of this and it is not all on the company. I think a lot of these discount services are to get them in the door and then get you to do additional services. They were recommended, I did end up using them, and that is what I refer to as a total waste of money. I wish I never would have done it. The service in and of itself was a waste given the age of our house. I would regard it as a buyer beware sort of thing. We ended up spending $700 total for a $99 service and that is where I say I did agree to the work they did. I don't want to slam their service to much. It is more of a buyer beware kind of thing. They didn't do anything negative. It is just that given what I had envisioned would be the end result I was just disappointed. I think like I spent more than I really needed to. I think they may be a very fine outfit and may even use them again. I would just be smarter about it.
