Easy! I called Daniel, we set up the appointment, he gave me a fair estimate, I accepted, they came out and replaced the door, cleaned up..it's beautiful!!!

My 10+ year old garage door started binding up and eventually stopped closing all together. I called Seattle Door Service on a Tues, got an appt for someone to come out that Fri afternoon. Jon called on Fri and was running ahead of schedule and wanted to see if he could come out early, which worked well for me too. I pointed out my problems and Jon inspected everything and talked me through what could be the causes. He gave me a quote to replace the springs, bearings, torsion bar, hubs, and do general service on the system. I asked about options for replacement openers and we discussed those and he gave me a quote. He let me know they would have to order the springs, as they didn't carry those type in stock. I agreed to his 2 quotes and he was able to schedule me for the very next Tues morning for everything. I didn't even need to be there, I just gave him the garage code. Tue morning comes around and my outdoor security camera let me know they'd arrived and started work. They were done in about 2 hours, Jon called me to say they were wrapping up and wanted to know if they should program the outside keypad with the same code as before. When I got home and looked over the work everything was neat, tidy and professional. The new opener, a Liftmaster 8550w, is so quiet, I love it! The garage door doesn't bind any more when opening.

Responsive to schedule estimate. Jon provided options for types of garage doors within a price range I was comfortable with. Scheduling for the installation was easy and accommodated work schedule. The guys arrived on time, completed the removal of the old doors and install of the new within a couple of hours . The price was for two steel insulated garage doors without windows including removal and haul away of the old doors.

I called on a Friday morning and Sound Door offered an appointment later that day. Due to my schedule, I asked for Monday. John showed up at the beginning of their two-hour window, inspected what had to be done and told me he had to check his truck to see if he had the necessary torsion spring. Fortunately for me, he did, so I approved him to replace it then and there. Less than an hour later and my garage door went up and down just like it's supposed to. Plus, I feel safer with this kind of spring compared to the extension spring they replaced simply because when the last one broke, it dinged my car. Looking at that ding, I realize how much force that spring breaking could have caused.

Jon was very punctual and very cordial to deal with. He attempted to fix the malfunctioning unit but it wasn’t just an issue with the wiring, as I had hoped, but the opener itself had given up the ghost. He explained what the issue was very completely and understandably. We then decided a new opener installation was called for and, even though it was not part of his schedule, he took the extra time to install a new Lifemaster unit for us at an extremely competitive price inclusive of labor. It is a great joy to work with something that loves what he does, does it well and communicates so effectively. Thank you, Jon.

Excellent. Jon explained the challenges of an older, double-door lift system that apparently was assembled by the previous owner. He replaced the loose and frayed cables, and made several other adjustments. Very professional.

They only charged me for the service call, not the part. I called them in the morning and they came by noon. They also took the time to spray WD40 on the squeaky parts so my garage door is much quieter now. I have used them several times and have always been pleased with their service, speed professionalism.

I found Jon and his workers to be punctual, reliable, professional, sharp and responsive. I was seeking to replace the garage doors on my 2car garage. The job was not straightforward since my garage is very old and required some special accommodations to allow new doors to fit. His estimate was lower than the other companies and when I requested the most basic doors, he didnt try to upsell me. Plus he was able to assess the situation much more quickly than other servicemen who came to give me a quote. The job was well done and afterwards an employee called to be sure everything was ok. Months later when some follow up work became necessary, John responded swiftly and without additional charge. I would definitely recommend Sound Door Services for any garage door needs!

The courteous garage door technician added space between the two door panels and installed additional heavy screws to the adjacent roller bracket to prevent a reoccurrence of the cracking sound. We were very grateful for this excellent repair by Sound Door Services ! Don and Judy in Renton

Since no parts were needed, I was only charged for the service call. I was very pleased with the work done and would definitely call them again.

I called Sound Door services when I discovered my garage door opener had failed. They were on Mercer Island that day and they came right over, gave me a quote and replaced the garage door opener on the spot. The new belt drive is very quiet. And they were very professional and prompt in their service. I did not do a price comparison since they were so readily available. I would highly recommend them.

They identified a problem with the opener which they'd installed last year which wasn't repairable. The engineer drove back to main office and replaced it and it didn't cost me anything extra. Very pleased with all the conversations and work done.
