We had a refrigerator leak that caused floor warping and water to leak into our finished basement. It had been leaking for months. Service Pro helped us understand the issue, found a contractor that could do the demolition, managed the drying/de-humidification process, and submitted a bill that our insurance adjuster was happy to approve. Chad and Chris gave me daily updates and the whole effort went how they said it would. It was a very trying time and they did a great job taking care of things.

Chad (Owner) was the first person our to give me an estimate of services. He was fantastic. He went over everything in detail and set expectations. The issue started when he son came out the following day to perform the project. No prep was done whatsoever to protect my home or belongings. Nothing was laid down on my hardwood floors or carpet to protect them. No tarps or plastic were laid out to protect my carpet for furniture from debris. Equipment was rolled up and down my stairs directly on my carpet and I have dirt all over my carpet from uncovered foot prints and there equipment. I was told that they would return the next morning to check on the project and did not hear from anyone until after 1:00pm when I

He wanted $700 to start. To pull up our carpet and haul away the pad of a 6'x6' area. During the course of our conversation, I mentioned that our insurance didn't cover the problem (our flood was due to our neighbor's hose running for days this is considered groundwater and not covered by most insurance plans). He got all worked up and lectured me on how wrong I was and that I should call my insurance company and talk to an autitor not an agent. He was pretty rude, and completely wrong and way too expensive.

This customer had unrealistic expectations. At the onset of the phone call she mentioned the type of damage she had experienced. She also mentioned that she wanted her carpet dried and salvaged. Her damage was ground water. Ground water is category 3 water damage, and you can not save the carpet or pad due to possible contamination. We try to help every customer with their specific situations and must adhere to the S-500 standard for water damage cleanup. Because of the licensing that is mandatory for our industry we must strictly adhere to these regulations. This specific customer wanted us to ignore these regulations because of the replacement costs of the carpet. Pricing for our industry is strictly set by insurance companies standardized pricing. We regret that we were not able to meet this customers' expectations and demands that go against IICRC regulations.
