Precision Garage Door Service Seattle

This is the second time I have used Precision Door Service. Chris, the serviceman, arrived less than two hours after I called to schedule the repair. He was very professional and thorough explaining the problem and the cost of the repair. He completed the job in less than an hour.

We knew our garage door need a lot of work and was starting to be unsafe. I called on Friday morning and got an appointment at 4:00 that afternoon. The worker called to let us know he would arrive a few minutes late due to traffic and got to our house about 4:20. He then proceeded to work for three hours to get our garage door working perfectly. It sounds quieter and works more smoothly than when our garage door opener was new. We took advantage of an Angie's List %15 off coupon which helped with the price. For as much as we paid, I would have liked Precision Door to waive their ~$50 service fee. I think their prices are higher than other garage door companies, but their quick service, quality of the work, and the professionalism of the worker were top notch. The worker did a 25 point safety inspection and was very clear about the costs and work to be done. He did not try to oversell me on more expensive solutions. Everything he suggested was absolutely necessary for the safe and smooth operation of our garage door. We've worked with other garage door companies who are less expensive, but extremely flaky. They've not shown up when they said they would, taking up our valuable time. They've shown up but not had the right parts available then flaked on their next appointment. Precision Door was the opposite experience. Showing up exactly when they said they would, assessing and then doing the work to the highest quality standards. I will absolutely use Precision Door in the future.

Not sure of the date. Used them in 2013. Garage door making a racket when opening and closing. They came and fixed the issue and no problem since. The service man was in a word awesome.

He told me what needed to be done and that it could be done that day! I didn't have to take any time off work. He replaced my garage door opener. He also reconditioned my garage door, including new springs, new rollers and I don't know what else.

Craig arrived very promptly. I didn't call for repairs until around 9:00am and Craig showed up at my door by 10:00am with a smile. He was very courteous, explained the problem and corrected it quickly. I had a lightbulb burned out in my garage and he even offered to replace that for me when I was paying the bill. He was very friendly and courteous! I would absolutely use Craig again if I needed a garage door repair! Also, it was so wonderful that they had a 15% off coupon on Angies List! Every company that we have gotten from Angies List has been wonderful!!

Set up a timely appointment after our online request. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Explained to us all our options without being pushy. Did a lead paint test at the time also. Did not try to over sell us, which we greatly appreciated. We did buy the upgraded version of the garage door mechanism because of his knowledgeable explanation. Also replaced the garage door opener because of the age of the opener and the discount offered when replacing the door and opener at the same time.

It was okay. They got the job done in about an hour. The scheduling was fine and I had no difficulty.

I was having issues with my garage door not opening and closing properly, as well as cycling when it did. Excellent and swift servicing of the problem. I would highly recommend Precision Garage Door Service to others.

Very friendly and efficient. Did a great job. We had another company fix out door a year ago and we were disappointed. So I found Precision Door on Angie's List and will use them again.

Came out the very day I called, was prompt- even early. Friendly, professional, well informed. Got the door ordered same day and installed it the day after it arrived in their shop (needed to be special ordered). I had a quote from a competitor that was much lower, and they matched this price. I decided to go with them because the service was so much better and I am not sorry!

Our technician, Jim, was on time, was able to identify the issue, and recommend solutions. I was able to verify data he provided to me about issues, with some internet research. He did not have all the necessary parts with him to complete the job, but was able to come back after hours to complete the final touches. He also left me his cell number in case there were any issues or questions we had in the future. He was also extremely friendly and courteous. He seemed to take all the necessary time to ensure everything was done perfect. I would easily recommend him to anyone.

Excellent service, much sooner than I would have expected.

Nate Hall came out on 12/10 to determine what was needed. He let us know our options and suggested an option that he felt would work best for us, Chain Drive, new rollers with safety features etc. We were very pleased with his explanation and professional manner. He came out the next day to perform the work. We are very pleased with the product, professional manner of Nate Hall and cant believe how quiet it is now. I highly recommend Precision.

Seemed to list a great deal of maintenance and inspections to do. Only took about 15-20 minutes apparently. Slightly disappointed.

Tech arrived on time, and was courteous. I already knew the problem was a broken door springs. Since I was not home (my wife was here) she had the tech call me. Tech did an evaluation and confirmed the spring issue, also said we needed new bearings (perhaps we did need the bearings, I don't know, and he didn't leave any old parts.) The quoted price was $340 for springs and $140 for bearings. Service call was another $50. Then the tech tried to up-sell us on replacing all the rollers and other bearings, and add a "lifetime warranty" (extra $150). I didn't go for this add on. The total price with tax was $580 even without the extras. It was unclear what the warranty covered and what was not (the lifter clearly was not part of the coverage). Overall I feel the work was prompt and professional. However the price seemed quite high and I really HATE the typical up-sell these outfits often lay on you. For those reasons I gave him a C for price and a I would not use this service again. BTW, we actually called a different phone number for service from garage doors and more in issaquah. Apparently this firm (Precision door service, Lynnwood) bought that business and is replacing them. This was not obvious to my wife when she called and that is how we got to them. Based on the other reviews of this business on Angie's list I would not have selected this one in the first place.

Would definitely recommend/reuse Precision Garage Service again.

A gentleman came out and measured the door on March 20th. The technician came out a few days later and said that he was having some difficulties installing the new garage door. He spent double the normal time and was not sure if he could finish it. However, he did install it. When I went to open the man door later, the garage door would go off track, because it had two tracks instead of one. Their specialist came to see what I was complaining about and said that he had some ideas of how to fix it, but needed to defer to the manager. One of the ways was to jerry-rig the man door with a door stop that would allow it to open without hitting the garage door tracks. When the manager came out to investigate, he was certain that there had always been two tracks and that it needed to be installed that way. Therefore, the door stop needed to be installed. When the owner came home from her trip, she said that the original garage door had only one track, because she oiled it and used to maintain it. The owner believes that it was jerry-rigged to fix this problem that they started by ordering the wrong size door to begin with.

Purchased tune-up from Angie's List for $112. that included Roller Replacement. On scheduled date, workman showed up and completely tuned up garage door. He recommended additional service that included new springs. The ones that were on the door were not correct and needed to be replaced. As result, this increased cost. So by the time it was all done, spent more then I had expected, about $500. total cost. Garage door works great now and it included guarantee, so if something goes wrong, it's covered.

They were professional, punctual, and nice to deal with. They don't take a minimalist approach, though; their estimate was bells-and-whistles expensive. Even if cost was no issue, I still would have liked to know that I could keep all the old parts of my garage door, and get them up and running mostly with just cleaning, lube, and re-hanging on the old spring, rather than throwing it all away and replacing it. (Ultimately another company re-used all the old parts, and the old door is working great, for quite a bit less dough and no usable parts off in a landfill.)

I think it went really well. The only negative, which is very small, was that I told them I had to leave at 9:30 am for an appointment, and they were still working at that time, but they did leave and come back to finish later. Overall I would give them an A. I would recommend them to others.

The representative was courteous, on time and very helpful. However, he was about $600 higher for the same door as the one I ultimately chose. I am sure they would have done a good job, but they were not price competitive.

I personally think this entire installation looks sloppy, wishing we'd bought Liftmaster openers & installed everything thru a different company. Dan came over today and straightened out the right side, & although it does look better my husband & I agree that the right side opener still looks like it was hung a bit crooked. Installation with Josh took forever because after he had installed the brand new openers they didn't work at all & he had to uninstall both of them, drive back to lynnwood to pickup 2 new openers and then he had to install the new openers which worked...Given their companies name I stupidly expected extremely precise work. I'd request Dan if u decide to hire this company.

It went very well. Dane was informative, on-time, friendly and professional.
