I purchased a bed set, coffee table, entertainment center and a sectional sofa on January 4th 2020. The delivery went smooth for the other furniture and I informed the delivery driver that I'm still waiting for my sectional sofa.The delivery driver laughed and said " Good luck getting your sectional". I received a call in March from Mor Furniture stating that I would have to wait until the end of April. I asked the sales rep why it's taking so long for a particular piece to be made for my couch and he couldn't answer my question. His solution was either I cancel the order or go into the store and select a new couch if I didn't want to wait in longer. I have short legs so it's difficult to find a couch that my feet don't hang down from. That is why I chose this particular sectional and it was comfortable. It's April 14th 2020 no phone call from Mor Furniture and I emailed their customer service only to receive an email stating their email is full and try again later. What a disappointment.

Bad to say the least! Mor furniture's motto should be 'Mor furniture, less of everything'! I am sharing my sad story as a heads up for everybody considering this store for their business. The story started when we bought a sectional and a sofa on 7/18/17. In all honesty, the buying experience was great (that's why I am giving them 1 star). The salesman (Andrey) was very helpful and made it quite seamless. We opted for the paid delivery and installation service ($79.99) which included delivery, installation, and cleanup. We then agreed on a delivery date (7/20/17) and waited on their confirmation message the next day. We got the confirmation message at 8 am on 7/19/17 confirming delivery on 7/20/17 from 4-8 pm. To prepare, me and my husband both took a half a day off on 7/20/17 (with difficulty due to the short notice) to clean up and clear the space where the new furniture would be installed and to be there when the delivery team arrives to do the installation. We hired a nanny for our daughter to pick her up from day camp because delivery time conflicts with her pick up time. We also booked a day camp for the dog to make sure installers could work easily without interruption. Needless to say, those all cost us an additional $150, but we wanted to make sure things went smoothly. On 7/20/17, we got a call at 2:40 pm from the driver of the delivery team saying they're on their way and got 15 more minutes! We were still preparing the place given that the agreed time was an hour away. So, we simply stated this to the driver and asked him not to come in before 4 pm as agreed. He just hung up on us! 15 minutes later at 3 pm, he still came over even though we told him we won't be ready before 4 pm. Again we said we aren't yet ready for delivery and that they should come back between 4 and 8 pm. At this point, the driver started yelling saying "I came already and you refused delivery. You now call customer service and reschedule to another day if you want your furniture delivered' and then he went in the car and left, he didn't even wait for us to answer him! A few minutes later, a customer service representative called us saying the driver said you refused delivery and were rude to him! So we explained what happened and the fact that he came earlier than the time agreed upon even though we told him we won't be ready at the time and moreover he was the rude one hanging up on us and leaving us mid-sentence! We asked that we get an apology and for the delivery to happen at 4 pm as planned. He said he'll go talk to driver and get back to us. He came back saying the driver says we're rude and he refuses to service us. Our only option is to reschedule to another day! So basically we had to be punished for demanding a basic level of respect for our time. Given that, we refused to reschedule and insisted on delivery to happen as planned. They simply said there's nothing we can do! At this point we decided with this level of service, they really didn't deserve our business. We cancelled the whole order and they were completely fine with it! They didn't even attempt to preserve the sale by maybe offering to waive delivery charge for their mistake! They didn't even acknowledge the fact that they made a mistake or that their driver was rude! A word of advise, avoid this unprofessional store and save yourself the money and effort.

The only reason I will ever walk in to Mor again is to get this mess fixed. This might be the worst service I have ever had. I am going to fight them as far as it takes.
Description of Work: On June 17th my wife and I walked in to Mor Furniture and picked out a bedroom set we liked. Quality is OK and price is OK. We were told we would receive a call the next day and let us know if the items were in stock. NO CALL. Now, after calling and getting information from the computerized system that our purchase would be delivered on August 21st. They asked us to please have the room ready for delivery so we emptied our existing furniture and moved it out of the room. One of the items was NOT delivered so I called at 9:30 in the morning to find out when we could expect the last item. They would call me back at 10AM...NO CALL! A call placed to them at 2:30 reached a customer service rep and she was very polite and did call back shortly only to let me know the item that matched the one delivered is no longer made. The will however consider giving us one for the same price even though it does not match. What a load of BS this place is.

Do not expect to be treated well by the sales people. I felt like I was in a time share sales pitch. I would probably purchase additional items again but as I put in my letter, not from the person we delt with this time.
Description of Work: The price and quality of the items we purchased were good. The computers were down so they had to hand write the invoice and promised to call the next morning and let us know if the items were in stock. No call. The only way I found out was by calling the automated phone number and was told the items were 8 weeks out. I even sent a letter to Mor and have never been contacted.

When the bedroom furniture was delivered, I put my clothing in the dresser and when I took my white t-shirt out the next day there was a red stain all over it. Apart from that there were several other issues so I called their service department and a technician got out here. He said that the dresser is supposed to that and it was okay which was not okay with me due to which I was not pleased. I also had a billing issue where I was charged extra and there was no record of my purchase. They used a financier who charged me the incorrect amount and when I tried to find out what went wrong, their service department said that it was not their problem and I had to deal it with the financier. When I spoke to the manager, they seemed to be upset about how I was treated but when it really gets down to it, they just do not care. Then the assistant manager of the store called me and confirmed that there was not additional purchase made by me. So they contacted the financier and took off the charge but the amount appeared the following month. When I called back they said that they had a document with my signature accepting it and when I asked for a copy if it, they asked me to see the store. When I contacted the store, they did not have any copies, so I told the assistant manager what they were doing. She said to go ahead and make the payment and let somebody know about it so that something can be done about it.

OK quality furniture - not great not bad. Extremely restrictive return policy. We returned two items (after getting their permission) and it took them three months to refund our credit card! The refund only happened because we called repeatedly and we filed a dispute with our credit card company. We had all the paperwork, return receipts etc.! Do a Google search and you'll find that unprofessional behavior is par for the course for MOR.

WHEN THE BED CAME IN, AND WE ARRIVED TO PICK UP, WE FOUND THAT THE HEADBOARD WAS SCRATCHED. MOR FURNITURE MADE EVERY EFFORT TO FIX THE SCRATCHES AND DID A GREAT JOB. WE WERE PLEASED WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

FURNITURE ARRIVED IN GOOD CONDITION. WHEN THEY ARRIVED, THE STORE DID NOT CALL ME TO INFORM ME THAT WE COULD PICK THEM UP. FORTUNATELY, I CALLED THEM, AND INQUIRED ABOUT THEIR ARRIVAL. SURE ENOUGH, THEY WERE IN. THE SALESMAN WAS COURTEOUS AND VERY HELPFUL. SHOWROOM WAS EXTREMELY CLEAN AND HAD MANY OPTIONS AVAILABLE.
