Could not have gone better...

We had several estimates for the project. We felt that the estimate we received from Olympic Rockeries (Shinda Sidhu) was the most reasonable for what was being done, and the job was completed at the estimated price. All phone calls were answered promptly, and all appointments were kept. If delayed, Shinda Sidhu called to advise us of such. The 2 day project was finished on time. While it is too early to determine the overall effectiveness of the new system, we have no reason to believe it will not work. The gully that was dug filled with water and we saw the water flowing into the new system. One of the most impressive things was that we were interested in having several other projects done, and we discussed those with Mr. Sidhu. We felt he was honest and knowledgeable about his work. One of the projects involved putting a rock wall along the road in front of our house. When he saw the project he pointed out potential problems with the city of Kenmore (for example, if the city were to widen the road). Whereas other contractors had advised us there was no problem with the wall, Mr. Sidhu knew otherwise, and the information he provided was substantiated by our conversations with the city. On another potential project he pointed out issues we had not considered before, even though he knew it would in all likelihood discourage us from doing the project.

It was great. The guy is dynamite. It was so good that I'm having him come back out next week to install another rock wall. He does a great job and cleans up after himself. He does what he says he’s gonna do when he says he’s gonna do it. He does regular checks on the walls. He regularly asks how it’s going. He installed a lot of rock. I think it was close to 240 feet. Im going to hire him again!

As with my previous experience with Shinda he came prepared and went to right to work. The repair involved a combination of rip-rap and a large rock retaining wall and it is immediately apparent that he knows what he's doing, in a few short hours my driveway was repaired and it really looked great! I no longer have to worry about my driveway being washed out since Shinda did a great job of shoring using just the right mix of materials for a functional and good looking rock retaining wall. I would and have recommended Shinda and Olympic Rockeries & Construction to friends and family and I will be using his company again in the near future. One last thing, Shinda performed clean up and beautification of the surrounding yard that was above and beyond anything we had talked about, it was greatly appreciated.

Last year when our original rockery person didn't show up on the day our project was scheduled to begin and then didn't return our calls, we had to start getting estimates for our project all over again. Olympic Rockeries was one of the companies we contacted to bid the project. Their bid was competitive with the other companies and we had seen some of their work and we were impressed so we decided to go with Olympic. We had wanted to do our project last summer, but decided to postpone it and see what the economy would do. We contacted Shinda Sidhu, the owner of the company, and he understood our concerns. We rescheduled our project for this summer. Early in May, we gave Shinda our revised (downsized) plans and we signed a contract and set up a start date for the project. We called and left a message confirming the start day and Shinda called the next day (Saturday) to confirm that he would be starting the following Monday between 9:00 and 10:00. By 9:15 Monday morning they were here to start the project and were finished by Wednesday morning. The crew was professional and at certain critical points would ask us if the project was going according to our plans. We couldn't be happier with the job that they did. It looks fantastic and is exactly what we had wanted. We would not hesitate to refer Olympic Rockery to anyone.

Shinda made an appointment to meet me at my house to inspect my rockery and provide an estimate for any needed repairs. I left work early to get home. He never showed up, and never called to explain the no-show.
