When I met the estimator we walked around the house and I told him I wanted the house sanded, primed, caulked - pointing to windows and soffits, and two coats of paint. In hindsight the estimate doesn't specify those items and I should have cleared that up before giving them the job. The contract uses the words "re-caulking" and "re-painting" - meaning anything currently painted or caulked is included and anything not currently painted or caulked is not included. The contract didn't specify two coats of paint. These are fine points on a vague contract, the importance of which is only obvious after the contract is signed and the job is in progress. Please note, I did receive an estimate from another contractor with all these details in writing and the estimate was $2,000 higher. Out of six estimates, there was one higher and four much lower than Tracy's Quality Painting; with Tracy's estimate being quite high I thought I was getting the product I wanted. Every day the painters arrived on time and were busy and quiet. It was VERY HOT on the final day and the frustration level was high, upon final inspection I noticed so many light areas (where the paint didn't fully cover) that 3 men spent over an hour following me around while I pointed out problem areas and they did touch-ups. It was late in the day and the hottest week on record so I thought it best if they went home and I would call the owner to work out the problems, which happened the following business day. One of the workers came back the next weekend and fixed many of the problems. After working for awhile he admitted there were problems which he didn't see when they were here the week before. Unfortunately, he left before I did an inspection and there are still many light areas of paint and a few windows not quite finished. Had they painted a second coat the house would look terrific. Note to self - the next time make sure two paint coats is specified on the contract. Keep in mind that the owner said I was the pickiest customer he had come across (although I know many pickier people than myself) and it was the hottest week on record, so perhaps that is the reason for the average quality of the finished paint job.

They were not the cheapest but you usually get what you pay for. I would definitely hire them again and so far the wear has held up well after one year.

Fantastic job. I had them paint the interior before I moved in last year and didn't bother calling anyone else. these crews arrive on time, do what needs to be done, clean up daily and take care of business. Very polite and professional.

They were referred to me by a neighbor. They were voted #1 in a survey. The crew was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. They did a great job and we are pleased. I highly recommend them.

OUR OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH TRACY'S PAINTING SERVICES WAS GOOD. THE PAINTERS THAT THEY HAD AT OUR HOME WORKED QUICKLY. THEY ALSO CAME BACK READILY WHEN RETOUCHES NEEDED.
