In July I received an email saying the chair was "still on track" to be delivered in early October. This change was treated as if the chair had always been scheduled for early October. Then in August, the emails changed and began to say the chair was "still on track" to ship in late October. When the end of October rolled around with no word on the shipment, I sent several emails asking for information. I finally received a reply saying the chair is now estimated to be delivered in late November but that the date is fluctuating. I will update this review when/if my chair is finally delivered.

I had the best experience with them. I ordered special covered furniture before and it has taken months. I ordered two new couches and they said it would be 4-8 weeks and it came when they said it would. I had other pieces delivered exactly when they said they would. They are a little pricier that other places. Years and years ago I ordered living room furniture with special covers and I ordered it in August so that I would have it by Thanksgiving because we were having company and it came in January. That was from a very good company so I'm tickled to death with Ethan Allen. They have just been great. The couches were expensive, but it depends on the cover you get. They are all decorators and they do want to come out to your house. I put that off because I had in mind what I wanted. Consequently they are very helpful. I picked out the fabric for the couches and she picked out a really great fabric for the cushions that I wouldn't have picked. They are very nice to deal with. They are just great. Actually I bought an ottoman that didn't come with the couch. I walked around and saw one and got it in the same cover as the couch. It was $400 but it is beautiful. I am especially grateful that it came when they said it would. They kept in touch and emailed me to assure me that everything was on time and that it would be coming at the end of the month. They called a couple of weeks in advance to say that it would be here. They kept in touch the whole time. I would recommend them to anybody. I went to four stores altogether and it was worth the extra cost and they delivered it.

After meeting with Tami for a couple of hours in the store, she and her assistant came to our home to measure windows, and to go over examples of what we could do. They came in the evening to suit our schedules. Tami was EXTREMELY helpful. Very knowlegeable and full of good ideas. In the end, we chose not use Ethan Allen as they were not able to quote a price within our budget. Had I been able to afford them, I would have most certainly used them.
