Like any project, it is best to have your own written statement of the scope of work, concerns you may have regarding safety, things to not do, etc. This is for both getting comparable bids, as well as having a clear, measurable expectation of the scope of work to be done for the estimate of costs & time given. My writeup was needed to confirm a few issues of difference between the estimator and the job lead person understanding of my project. Pacific Coast Tree also had a slow start up due to a missing team member, who also had their chip truck. Their chipper also MUST be fixed, as it badly smoked when operating! If an EPA official had driven by, the firm would have been fined. Otherwise my project was completed safely and generally met my expectations. I would hire them again, once they fix their chipper. Do not trust the salesman/owner. The workers were hard workers, but the job was never completed and it took months to get them to respond. Only with the help of Home Advisor did they respond eventually. I believe I overpaid substantially, never got the service promised and did eventually get a small refund to hire someone else to finish. Make sure to check and see if the business is licensed and bonded if you decide to use them.

They came out and quoted the work the same day I requested quotes from home advisor which was a Saturday. On monday before I got home from work all the trees were trimmed, cut down, and pruned. All before any other company could get out there to give a quote. They were also less exspensive than some of the quotes I got last year which we thought were a little pricey for much less work. The crew did a perfect job and cleaned up great.

Day 1 - Called for Quote; Day 2 - Great, and No-nonsense, Quote from "Knowledgeable Stan"; Day 3 - Job was completed (on Halloween)! Wonderful, hardworking, non-stop, 5-man crew. Took down 100ft cluster of Cedar (5 trunks), cut into 16" logs; "wind-sailed", removed dead wood, pruned, and strapped, 100ft Fir tree; strapped 2nd cluster of Cedar; Suckers and dead wood was removed from Japanese Maple tree and pruned and shaped. Chipped and Hauled all debris and cleaned up whole work area. Will definitely hire again and they have my Highest Recommendation. "Happy Halloween"; It was definitely a TREAT!

They were very hard workers and listened to what we wanted done and they left our yard neat and tidy!

The bidder, Stan, was very professional and knew exactly what I needed. I felt very comfortable moving forward with the project right away. The crew showed up on time and had the work done and finished in approximately 2 hours. Everything was done according to my request and totally cleaned up my property. I would hire them again, and recommend them to anyone.

Quick response and quote able to do the work within a few days. I had 6 trees getting wind sailed and they had an appropriate amount of guys and quickly got the job done and the yard cleaned up.

They were really good . They showed up when they said and kept me informed. They did the project that day. They were honest and friendly/ Very accomodating not pushy . The grounds crew cleaned up everything perfectly . I would recommend them to my neighbors .

They trimmed our VERY overgrown laurel hedge and lots of other tree/bush trimming and general yard clearing. They swarm of guys were very hardworking and very organized. The lead was very detail oriented and seemed to care about the quality of the hedge trimming, making sure it was even and remained good looking even after a major trim. They worked hard and fast, got things done quickly. Not the cheapest, but I was impressed. Would hire again.

I was a nervous wreck about taking down two large cedar trees that were too close to the house (and causing damage to the roof). They came out and quoted same day. Since our job was a small job that would be done after their others, they could only estimate the time they would be there but they arrived within 30 minutes of they estimated arrival...yeah! Not only were they quick and efficient with their work, they caused no damage (like I said I was nervous about them being only 3 feet away from the house) and they did a fantastic job cleaning up afterwards! They went above and beyond by cleaning out the underbrush and shrubs that had died next to the trees and even ground out roots from those big trees. I had hired them to cut down the 2 trees, trim a third tree and to do stump grinding. I would certainly recommend them and would hire them again. A++ work! Thank you!

Late arrival and in a hurry to get to next job Shoddy work and no communication, just stayed long enough to get check and no thankyou.

Their machinery was not serviced well and it affected the overall time and quality of work.

At first sight the job was handled poorly; but as soon as i complained my issues were corrected and expectations were met. The company does know customer service well, and in the end i am pleased with their work.

They arrived on time, got the job done and cleaned up afterwards. We are very satisfied.
