Comstock Bob Plumbing & Heating

OK, so most likely any plumber would have figured out why my basement was smelling like a sewer, but it freaked me out as I was certain a pipe must have broken and there was going to be sewerage spilling out all over the floor soon. When I got to work on Monday, I asked colleagues if they could recommend a good plumber. Bob was highly recommended so I called, had to leave a message and an hour or so later, he called back however I missed his call. When I called him back, told him my problem, he said he was in Barre and would wait for me to zoom home so he could check out the situation right away. He had to wait 20 minutes for me, but was willing to do so. Well, it didn't take him long to determine the seal to the pipes had been lost. With a bit of water, he had the problem solved.and I was much relieved. Yes, a simple solution, however his willingness to check it out immediately even though it meant he would have to wait was so appreciated. And he only charged me $40.00, however I insisted he take $50.00. He is definitely my go-to plumber if ever I need one in the future!

During my DIY bathroom remodel we removed the old casing from the baseboard hot water heater. Turned out to be a bigger project than planned. With my schedule and Bob's schedule it took a little while to get him to my house but once we set an appointment he was there on time and was able to finish fixing the heater which was a little more involved than he had anticipated. In addition he did a couple of other smaller projects (installing the toilet and tub fixtures) that I hadn't gotten around to finishing from the remodel. With my not knowing a ton about plumbing he was willing to talk me through what he did and explain some things. I would definitely recommend his services.

Please see above. I just can't say enough good about him. I like that he is trustworthy and honest. ALot of times we give him the keys so he can work at camp without us having to be with him.

First visit determined that the kitchen faucet could not be fixed but had to be replaced so to call when I had replacement (0ffered to order one if I wished) he did not change for the visit and then returned a day after I called and said I had the replacement to install. He did a great job in minimal time and the charges were very fair. He was very friendly and informative.
