Description of Work: The guys did a great job. Unfortunately they got in a car accident on the way to my home, so they arrived a half hour after the time window. I wish the scheduler was a little more responsive in keeping me updated on where the truck was.

Description of Work: Packed, moved, and unpacked furniture and belongings from a one-bedroom apartment in Charlottesville, VA to a two-room apartment in Alexandria, VA. The move, including travel time, took 5 1/2 hours. The move manager, Sam, was very skilled and flexible. We were very pleased with how this was handled.

Description of Work: I've moved across the United States 3 times, unfortunately, and with 5 kids and a large amount of house furnishing & 'stuff.' Categorically, G &J, and crew leader "Roman," were the finest experience I've had in a very shady industry. These guys were real pros, they took great care in packing many paintings & photos, furniture - done very carefully and with a keen eye for detail in the process. I've never seen anything like it in the moving industry, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Even at the end of the process - I'm moving the contents of a 5,600 ft2 house - when fatigue usually causes breakage and loss - these guys paced themselves and did a really great job. G & J and Roman, my hat's off to you - really; and thank you!

Description of Work: Performed two moves of antique furniture. They were on time, extremely careful with the furniture and the house, and completely professional at all times.

Description of Work: They moved furniture from one floor to another. They were professional, careful and cheerful. They worked steadily and without complaint. We expanded the job a bit from the original statement but we did not increase the time so they were very agreeable. Two younger men who were polite and respectful.

Description of Work: They moved me to a new apartment, and it all went well. The cost was very reasonable, and they were very careful with my things. Two of the guys didn't seem to have much experience, but as they were just providing hard labor it was fine. The third guy was good -- he directed things and did a good job of packing the last minute things I hadn't packed before they arrived. I would recommend them for short moves. It's hard to tell how they would do a longer move, which is obviously more complicated.

Description of Work: G&J was great in getting the estimate and trying to schedule the move. I submitted the estimate request through their website and got an email back first thing the next morning. Then, I talked with Jeff on the phone, who was very helpful and talked through the estimate and process. Unfortunately, G&J couldn't do the move on the day we needed, and we couldn't do it the closest day they were available. But just based on the customer service (and a good price estimate), I'd recommend at least getting an estimate from them.

Description of Work: Movers moved the contents of our 1-br apartment and storage unit to our new house. They sent 3 men with a 16' truck, and they completed the move efficiently in 4 hours (I thought it would take longer.) They did not waste time and they worked well with each other. They moved everything to the appropriate places, asking questions of us when needed, and even moved some things back to different rooms when we realized we had told them the wrong places. Our stuff was not damaged during the move. Only thing that was less than ideal was that they arrived later than we had hoped - they told us 8-10 am and arrived quote close to 10 am. I know it's within the window, but we had hoped that since it was the first job of the day and the drive was local, they'd be there closer to the start of the window. I'd recommend this moving service for sure.
