Great Job Moving and Storage

Description of Work: I bought a Big Deal for $299 for a 16 ft. Moving Truck and a 3 Man Crew for 3 Hours, Plus 15% Off Moving Supplies.

Description of Work: These guys were great. I booked them via email with a list of furniture, etc. I needed to move. They were clear about the costs for supplies and the hourly rates. They worked with me on determining the size of the truck and the number of guys who would be needed. My husband and I needed to move quickly as we needed to be out of the house that evening, but they did not oversell me on the size or the truck or the team. They wrapped all furniture either in plastic or blankets. They were able to carefully disassemble furniture and reassembled once it was in place again. They were courteous and made sure that every piece was placed appropriately. I have moved several times (even with mover who boxed everything for me) and this was the least stressful move I've ever had.

Description of Work: I have moved items/rooms/homes many times prior both assisting and in the military so I knew what was needed and what I wanted to have happen. I selected (2) movers for (4) hours with a (16) foot truck. I had prepared everything...furniture, boxes and other items so that when they showed it would be ready. I also planned out where each location (3) we were going and what items would be either picked up and/or left at each location. The movers called on the way (which was good). When they arrived I went over what was contracted, what was needed and reaffirmed all the work to be done and the associated pricing as well as any extra costs. The primary leader worked with me as we reviewed each point and item. He was professional and forthcoming with the information needed as was I. Once this was all agreed upon and completed we went ahead and performed the move. It was completed in less than (3) hours which was good. Even though I brought several rolls of tape we went ahead and used several of theirs and cardboard which they had brought (Extra small cost). This was used on some of the furniture so as to ensure it was not scratched. Once the move was completed successfully and all the work was done I tipped each mover $20.00 and thanked them both. I did ask the primary leader for a complete copy of the reciept for my records once we were done and he advised he would email that to me. This never happened and I never received it. Over all these movers were excellant and I would use them again without question. I knew what I wanted moved, how I wanted it done, how to prepare for it and how to make it happen. They provided the muscle and the truck and it worked out perfect!!!

Description of Work: Two movers loaded boxes and furniture into their moving truck and moved from our apartment to a house. We had 1 bed, 4 large dressers, a sectional couch, large desk, several chests, chairs, and a dining room table. They wrapped all of our wooden furniture and nothing got scratched, and they wrapped our mattress in plastic wrap. Once at the new house, they took direction and moved every piece of furniture into the room where we wanted it and placed it accordingly.

Description of Work: I recently moved from a town home to a condo. I utilized their labor service only this move do to a truck and crew not being available on the day and time required. I feel they are professional movers prompt, courteous and care for items. My only issue is their pricing. it is actually more affordable to get their truck and crew vice labor only. Additionally, you must keep a mindful eye out for all the additional charges such as tape, shrink wrap, and bubble wrap. Even after shrink wrapping the furniture myself the place furniture pads on everything and tape the pads down. CAUTION. They then tape the pads down to protect your furniture GREAT. However, they use half a roll of tape on one item. If you have a lot of furniture they will easily use 10-20 rolls of tape. Just a pointer to be mindful.

Description of Work: G&J Moving did an excellent job with our move - none of our items were either damaged or misplaced. The movers were quick and efficient, as well as careful to make sure items were properly secured and insulated. We would definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: I can't rave enough about the 3 young men who helped me today. I needed a large china cabinet moved form the dining room to a near by hall to make room for a new set-- all two days before Xmas and on a Friday. I called at 9AM and although they were busy with another nearby move, made time to come and do my short job. They arrived post haste and did an excellent job including moving other furniture for me. SInce i am 64 moving anything is a chore and I was stressed on how I would get my dining room in order before 22 arrived on TUesday ---thanks to G&J no stress and the room looks fantastic -- I plan to use them again when I finally move to my condo!

Description of Work: I hired this service for a friend that needed a good moving company at short notice. Two gentelmen showed up at her moving place not too long past the original time that was discussed but, I couldn't really fault them because this area was just getting over Sandy coming through here and causing destruction all up and down the East Coast. The roadways in Maryland was just starting to get back to normal.and I actually thought they were not going to make it but they did. The move went as smoothly as it could have gone but, we had to pay for and extra hour or so I believe to complete the move. Overall, I couldn't complain and the good thing is; there were no hiding charges before loading your furniture off of the truck.
