Great Job Moving and Storage

It was an excellent experience. They worked hard and they did a great job but it took a little longer than I was expecting but they worked hard all the way through. I was very impressed overall. I have moved several times in the past and this was the best one. I had no problems; everything was great. What I liked was they were good at wrapping all of my fragile stuff and everything worked out well. They were quick with the clock running, they were very careful with my things, and only a couple of things were damaged. They were very prompt and great to deal with. They listened to my instructions and put everything in the appropriate rooms as labeled.

Well, the gentleman I communicated via email weeks prior to the move was quite promptl. I purchased his Angie's List coupon for $349 which included, 3 men for 3 hours and a 16' truck. They were supposed to show up between 2 and 4pm that day with a phone call 30 minutes prior to arrival. When I hadn't heard from them by 3:35 I thought I would just double check that they would in fact be there by 4pm. No such luck. I was informed that they would be there by 7pm!! Talk about stress. So, the gentleman offered 10% off and I told him I already purchased the coupon so he offered packing supplies which confused me because I had already packed. So they showed up a little after 6:30pm and went on and on about how the move would definitely take longer than 3 hours because they had to walk around the back of the house. So, going around back elminates stairs, offers double doors to a wide open space. I thought it was ridiculous to suggest that going up a twisted staircase through the front single door would be more efficient but I just rolled my eyes and stopped arguing about it. They finished moving me in just over two hours and said that the $28 worth of "packing supplies" would be free. All in all it was a ridiculously annoying, frustrating and disappointing experience.

It went extremely well. The manager who set it up was extremely responsive for phone calls and arrangements for the day that we wanted. The guys that came to do the moving were extremely professional, very careful with our items and everything got moved safely and efficiently. It worked real well.

Overall it was fine. The people who work there were pretty friendly, it was a pretty simple move. There was nothing negative to say about this company.

I purchased the Big Deal that included 3 movers & 16' truck for 3 hours of work for $350. The Foreman (I think his name was Stefan. I apologize for my poor memory) and his crew were GREAT, friendly, and very hard working! Stefan explained all the pricing and disclosures up front and made sure I understood everything before work began. As previous reviewers have stated, these guys use a LOT of packing tape. I did not mind as it did not significantly increase my moving cost, but it did make me laugh how much tape was used to secure together the top to my wicker basket. The team worked very quickly and never a complaint when something was heavy or evidence surfaced of my poor packing job and a box needed new tape to keep the top closed. ^_^ They got everything loaded in two hours, we had one hour of travel time, and everything was unloaded into my new home in one hour. I only had to pay for the one additional hour ($100) and perhaps $37 for packing materials. (covers for box spring & mattress, and tape) I think everything arrived undamaged for the most part. There was a small corner of an end table that appeared to have chipped off, but it may have already been that way. I couldn't remember (that poor memory of mine) but it was no big deal. I'm very pleased at how quickly and smoothly things went. I will definitely use G&J again. A note to those that wish to use this (or any) moving service. Please provide cold water/beverages and if your happy with their service, tip your moving guys. They do a lot of HARD work, in this hot/humid weather.

The crew was punctual, detailed, professional and lightening fast!! Started at 9am and were done before 2pm even going to two locations!! Nothing was broken and they were very pleasant and about their business!'

The movers were very polite and professional. They took great care to make sure nothing got damaged. I was impressed at how informative they were about everything they were doing, very clear on the cost. I was very impressed at how careful they were with my furniture and how effecient they were. I would definitely use them again and I have reffered them already to friends.

The services provided were A+. Nick and team were fast and careful. I took advantage of the 3 Man special. The extra was for the mattress wrap and tape. I have recommended this operation to any and everyone. I would certainly use their services again. Ask for Nick and team, you won't be disappointed.

The move went REALLY well. My ONLY complaint was that the move took place 2 hours after my original quoted 2-5 window which made the move not completed until almost 1 am. I will add that I was warned the day prior about the movers arriving closer to the end of the window and was kept abreast of the whereabouts of the movers constantly and was told that the crew was held up because the move prior to my move was very complicated. So I suggest if possible when hiring G and J that you get the first time slot of the day. But I am sure that this would be the case with ANY mover that you hire. Once Nick and his crew arrived it began to pour down rain. The guys worked really hard even with it raining. As I was a little worried that my furniture would get destroyed in the rain but that wasn't the case. I had purchased a large roll of shrink wrap that they used to wrap a few of my items that they would normally use furniture pads for. But bc of the rain they took extra precaution with my items which I appreciated. They will use your packing materials first if you have any and then use theirs when they run out for a fee. My total fee for packing supplies was $30 dollars for 10 rolls of tape. They came in and wrapped everything very carefully and quickly. I was very impressed with their professionalism and their speed. They disassembled and reassembled several pieces which took a little time. The move took 6 hrs. I also upgraded to the 26ft truck for $100 which was need. Additionally, If you have a TV to be moved you can wrap it yourself and they will load it in your vehicle and remove and place it where you want it in the new place. That will save you about 30 dollars per tv which I thought was great. Overall the experience went well and would recommend them to family and friends. Had the earlier move not taken so long it would have been all A's but it was what it was and we both dealt with it. I will give them another chance to make it up one day! :-)

These guys did a great job. They were very professional and made the moving experience very easy. There were add-ons like the cost of them using tape, but we asked them to use our moving tape first, until it ran out and then use theirs. They were fine with that which we appreciated. Nothing damaged.

They arrived early but I spent $100 because we were over the allotted time.

Overall pretty good but with a couple minor glitches. I am kinda of torn, since they were nice and professional and worked very hard. The things happened which they ripped a leg off my dresser which was broken before but repaired since the guy started to slide it with the legs on the carpet which broke the leg. My bedroom set isn't the top line stuff but looks good and was bought at Scan furniture and not Ikea furniture which they don't guarantee anything in their policy if it is pressed wood such as Ikea. I didn't like the fact that the costs for tape crept up and they thinking it was part of our move since they said they wrap your furniture etc with quilts and pads. They also broke our cat tree in a couple places for the scratching posts were attached. My wife wasn't happy about that. They did work very hard in the 90 degree heat. Overall about a C. I guess you have to be careful of any movers you hire.

G & J Movers were incredibly competent, professional, and FAST. Highlights: - Part of our move involved roughly 2 tons of books, which the movers dispatched with aplomb. - Getting into the new place was a little tricky, but they were able to maneuver the 26' long truck with ease into our new driveway. - They cut us a deal on wrapping our furniture with shrinkwrap, since we were able to provide our own. - They moved everything out of the old place and into the new place in about six hours. - Besides a few chipped presswood shelves, nothing was broken. These guys work incredibly hard, are competent and are cheaper than all of their competitors. Buy them lunch and tip them well. I would definitely hire G & J Movers again.

We spoke to several moving companies before deciding to go with G&J. They had great online reviews, and significantly the best price. They were very quick to answer the phone, and to respond to emails. The movers showed up on time, were efficient and professional. We were moving household furniture, including a piano, up narrow basement stairs. They did an excellent job loading the truck. We had no damage when we arrived in New Hampshire. Also, there was no mark or scuff on the walls, floors or ceilings of where we were moving out of. Highly recommended.

A pretty good experience. All of these moving deals have hidden costs. In their case, the deal is in $3 a roll of tape for 20 roles. A slide of cardboard was $8 - mattress wrapping $8. Total cost of packing supplies was $120 (n/i 15% discount). Their prices are totally posted - but since we packed 90% of our stuff - it surprised us how quickly it added up. Again - not unfair. They charged $100 dph for labor extra. They were easy to negotiate with and assessed I'd need a larger truck = +$70. Totally fair The young men who moved me were slavic, and had satisfactory language skills. Nicolas, Hassan, Armand. Polite to a tee. Extraordinarily courteous. They asked permission for a 2 minute break and they took a two minute break. Asked permission to use the bathrooms. Respected the carpets. We offered them lunch and their only request was that it not be pork. They had one issue - and that was prepping the treadmill for movement. It ended up not being moved - and I later had to reassemble - and simply remove the hand bars. I made the deal and all negotiations with Jeff Kuznecov, G&J Moving, LLC, 703-577-9573 and found him to be efficient, fair and professional. They were easy to contract with, professional in appearance, punctional, and stayed after it. I gave each man a healthy gratuity.

I last used G&J Moving LLC last April. They price they charge was expensive but they were good. They did really good and they're very thorough. It was about what I thought it would be. They're really, really high quality what you pay for the cost.

Overall, the service provided was very good. The movers worked literally all day. I had an Angie's coupon for 4 hours for 2 movers. It took the movers another 7 hours to finish moving us because they had to disassemble several pieces of wood furniture. They were excellent in disassembling the furniture and putting it back together once delivered to the new house, and they even tried bringing a sofa that unfortunately would not fit through the doorway. All the furniture delivered was in good condition. My only real complaint is that at the end the day they dented the door frame of my master bedroom in the new house. I know for a fact the dent was not there and I saw the mover who took the dresser up to that room. I believe that in entering the room he accidentally hit the door frame and dented it. I understand they were tired and it was towards the end of the day, but when we pointed it out to them, the mover in charge said "Come on guys this is ridiculous!!! We could not have done that because we wrap the furniture." True the furniture is wrapped but the door frame is not -- so if you bang into it with a dresser, even if it is wrapped in a blanket, it will dent. Of course the mover who brought the dresser into the room just shook his head "no" when the mover in charge said "you didn't do that right?" The mover who carried the dresser into the room was a very much older gentleman who spoke no English, and it was clear that he was already exhausted. The mover in charge was also tired and he just got very loud and defensive. We were not rude or angry at all when we pointed the damage out to him. We just felt that we had to point it out because hey we just bought this house! We did not want to argue with them so we just let it go. A better approach by them would have been to just fess up to that accident, and if not, then just have their manager talk to us. But the mover's attitude at that point left me with a poor impression because I was also tired and now unhappy that I have to fix the door frame to my bedroom after paying movers to bring in the furniture. Overall, they did do a very good job. But for the dent and the way they handled it, we would have given them each a bigger tip and A's all the way though. Instead, I'll give them a B. Overall, good work, but you would have to make sure that the movers don't damage your walls or house once they get tired.

The movers were early, kept me posted on their arrival. They were efficient, diligent and courteous. They also were helpful with little things and thorough. In addition, they were careful with the furniture & items, & clean. I was very pleased & would hire them again.

This was the easiest move in the history of moving! We packed everything up before the movers arrived, so they were ready to load the truck immediately. Alex went over everything up front, including any incremental costs that might come up. We already had packing tape, mattress bags, etc. so he said they would use ours first and then let us know if we needed to purchase more supplies from them. They got to work immediately, and it took less than two and a half hours for them to move everything out of one apartment and into the other. They were incredibly efficient, professional, and careful. They even wrapped up the flat screen tv in a moving blanket and put it in our car for us, free of charge. Everything made it safely to the new place, and there were no surprise charges at the end. They really took the stress out of the whole process and did a phenomenal job. I will definitely call them for my next move!

Movers arrived within the scheduled window. One of the team had injured himself earlier in the day so for the move out it was a 2 man crew instead of 3, but it still went relatively smoothly. For the following day they had all 3 and it was much faster.

They were great and they came right out. They did warn me that it was going to be expensive to move it in. Three guys showed up, moved it in and put it where I wanted it. The service was excellent.

Everything went wonderful...there were no problems at all.

Summary: showed up on time, didn't break anything, good price. They showed up on time with two guys, packed everthing up and then unloaded at the destination as expected. Few notes, it took about 3 hours to load up my one bedroom because of all the wrapping etc.. they did of the furniture so take this into account, (I didn't even have much furniture) when you go over the alloted time they charge by the hour. They charge extra to seal your TV in a big packing crate. Unloading only took about 45 minutes for my few things.

Went fine, arrived early, took one smoke break while being paid hourly. Some surprises: separate cost for tape and required to be paid in cash.

Arrived on time. Moved my heavy furniture up 4 floors and put everything in the rooms we asked and were just awesome. They finished the job on the exact hour that I paid for. These guys were amazing.
