Great Job Moving and Storage

The service turned out excellent. The price of the Big Deal was the only charge. Everything was outstanding and the two gentlemen who helped me move were extremely hard-working. I would definitely hire them again and recommend that other people hire them.

Team was punctual and worked hard the entire time. The thoroughly wrapped each piece of furniture (almost to excess), but nothing was damaged during the move process. They did a great job.

It went very well. They were professional and very fast. They took great care not to damage anything. I would definitely use them again and I would recommend them.

3 movers came after calling to confirm their arrival. We used a coupon from angies list and we were not disappointed! The movers were diligent and took very good care of our furniture. They were very professional and I would definitely use them again and recommend then to friends.

Moving went fine. Took a little longer than I expected because of the disassembly of reassembly of some large furniture pieces.

We will definitely use and recommend G & J in the future. They called to confirm a day before our move, then they called the day of the move letting us know when they would arrive. They were careful and thorough in explaining the charges, etc. They worked super hard, were careful with our belongings and really did a great job. Called before arrival and when arrived, reviewed all the details of the move and what it would cost. Immediately went to work. Put down carpet protection and moved all the contents to a 15 X 10 storage unit 2 miles away.

G&J Moving was okay. We spent a little bit more because their truck wasn't as big as we thought it was or they didn't realize what I had even though we told them, no one had come out and looked at it ahead of time so they brought a truck that was quite big enough to take everything so they go in two loads. I packed the stuff. Their pricing is about average. I might use them again if it was local move.

It was fantastic. The movers arrived on time, were incredibly helpful, and took great care of our furniture. We were thrilled with them and they were very easy to deal with!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were excellent. I actually have referred them to my brother. I like their efficiency and courtesy in moving my things. There's nothing bad I could say about them. I spent an additional $30-40 because they used some extra packing material for my china cabinet which I appreciated and I went over an additional half an hour.

The service was wonderful and everything worked out well. They had to go up 10 floors to pick the stuff which we had packed ourselves. They were good but not excellent and the price was good. They were professional and stuff, but sometimes they lacked it a little and they came on time.

They were good. Overall, it went pretty good. I would use them again.

The provider was exceptional. It rained on the day we moved, but G&J came on time and emptied two PODS in the span of a maybe three hours or so. They came with three guys and a truck and carried boxes in without rest, somethings two boxes at a time. Other companies I've tried supplied guys who took their time so they could charge us by the hour. G&J didn't do that. They genuinely wanted to move us in within the time limit they initially quoted us. What's more, when I changed my mind about the placement of some heavy furniture (sometimes from one floor to the other) they moved the furniture for me, without attitude. They are truly the best moving company I've hired and I've moved six times in my adult life.

First of all, what a difference it makes to hire the right moving company! This is not the first time I have moved from one location to the other, but this is the first time I used G&J to do my move. This is by far the best experience I have had with moving companies. Nothing was damaged during the move. We had two guys and a 16ft truck. The workers contacted us when they are on the road and let us know when they will arrive. They arrived on time. Since we did not know how much stuff can fit into a 16ft truck, we initially decided to just move some large "essential" pieces of furniture (i.e. bed, soft, TV, etc). When they arrived at our place, they first asked us what pieces of furniture we would like to move. In addition, they explained how they would recommend moving the furniture and the pricing for the packing material. Ultimately, they let us decide how much protection (in terms of packing material) we want for the furniture since we are the one paying the bill. Once this part of the move is settled, they started putting protection around the furniture and moving them into the truck. The amount of wrapping they did is unbelievable. The guys did a super awesome job fitting different pieces of furniture into the truck and literally utilized every single space there is in the truck. Ultimately, we probably moved 3 times more stuff than we initially thought. Oh my god, I've never know a 16ft truck can fit that much stuff. We are extremely happy with this move. The guys were very courteous and professional. We still have some more stuff we need to move and we will definitely use this company again.

Working with G&J was a great experience. Jeff, the manager, was attentive to all the details of my two moves, ensuring that each was planned according to my specifications. The movers were experts, worked hard and accomplished the task in record time. I highly recommend this service to anyone who is looking for great service at a great price.

They were great. They were on time and got the job done quickly. They were very professional and it was a very good experience. I ended up extending the truck and keeping them for a couple of extra hours than the big deal that I had purchased.

Everyone I dealt with at this company was fantastic, hard-working professionals. Alex discussed the phone with me over phone/email. They offered advice on the truck size which I should have taken. I thought I had a lot less stuff than i did (rookie mistake). They are not however, pushy like many companies i dealt with. Reasons I would go with them again: 1) They were accomadating to all of our needs. My wife did a lot of last minute packing, I had to do a lot of last minute disassembling. They took boxes as we brought them, even partially open. Certain items (LED TV's) I took mystelf, they helped me load it and wrap it in their blankets. I needed heavy/awkward exercise equipment taken up stairs two flights of stairs (one at the old house and one at the new house). This was really hard, but they did it despite the difficulty. 2) Professional and business-like about everything. 3) Courteous regarding our belongs. They took great care not to damage the new flooring i just put down (taking shoes off, using carpet, lifting things not rolling them on my hardwood floors). I forgot my phone, had to use their phone once to call my wife. My wife called back on that number a while later, even though they were dressed to leave and they were pulling out of the driveway, they got out of their truck and had me take the phone call. After laboring for 7 hours, completely ready to go home, and for no reason other than plain kindness, they delayed going home for me to take this phone call. It has been awhile since the service was performed but as I remember G&J Moving did an exceptional job for me. They arrived on time and were very efficient and accommodating. I paid extra for the larger moving truck ($150) which allowed them to move everything in one trip. We also needed to stop by a storage facility to pickup some extra furniture along the way. They did it, no problem. I would highly recommend them if you need to move.

I purchased a big deal. My experience with them was just great. The guys honored everything. The experience with the movers was fine. They certainly were honest and were kind on par with the charges. They did fine, but whenever they moved the stuff they just made me extremely nervous about taking care of my things. They did not really break anything major, but the way they were handling stuff could have been certainly better.

Movers arrived w/ 16 ft truck, only to realize that a 24 ft truck would have been needed. Crew was friendly, strong, focused, and careful w/ belongings. However, it's not clear that two trips would have been needed, since I had access to another 12 ft truck, which I could already have packed. I was not consulted re: choice of truck size, and wonder if the smaller one was used in order to increase the buyer's (=my) overall cost. I'm pleased by the workers' efforts, but still feel gypped.

The three young men who came to move our belongings from our home in Virginia to our condo in DC were fast, efficient and concerned about keeping us at or under the three hour time limit provided through the Angie's List coupon. We almost made it but went over by about 30 minutes. I was charged only for the time that the movers worked, not for a full additional hour. They placed the items where we wanted them and were courteous and considerate of our concerns. I would definitely use them again.

I am not someone who writes reviews but I had to write this one as G & J Moving was absolutely great! They have just left, and my husband and I looked at each other and said, "We will definitely use them again." Courteous and punctual; worked hard to stay within the time limit of the coupon we had purchased; and took great care with the furniture. They explained all charges in advance and consulted with us throughout the move about what we wanted to do. We had been told by 15 other movers that there was no way we could get a mover to come before the end of the first week of July, but G & J agreed to fit us in for a next-day move. Having had bad experiences with movers before, I can't say enough for how pleased we were with the service we got from G & J.
