Great Job Moving and Storage

We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it turned out pretty well. They were hardworking, showed up on time, courteous, and they were very good with the fragile boxes. I paid additional for miscellaneous packing supplies.

They were punctual and courteous. All aspects of the job were explained to us before they started and any questions or concerns were addressed then and other times throughout the move. Certain Items were wrapped so nothing got damaged and care was taken so no damage to walls occurred. These guys worked hard for six hours, never stopping. We could not have been more impressed and pleased with the way the move went. We would highly recommend them! It was truly a pleasant experience! We are so grateful our good friends gave us Angie's List a gift!

Everything went well. There was a mirror that was forgotten in the truck, but the guys did come back to drop it off.

G&J Moving moved our 2 bedroom condo to our new house in less time and cost than was estimated. The moving team did a phenomenal job of wrapping every piece of furniture and packing the truck efficiently. We were in awe of their speed and efficiency. They unloaded everything extremely quickly and even put and assembled everything in the correct rooms. They asked questions when they needed to which I very much appreciated. Overall, the team was really impressive.

They called about 1/2 ahead of time to say they were on their way, but would be arriving late. In the end, they arrived about 45 minutes late. We reviewed what needed to go. They started the work. They were very careful wrapping up some of the big furniture that needed to be moved. They moved boxes either by putting them in a cart and wheeling it down the hallway of my apartment building or by carrying them on their backs. Once that was done, we went to one more house where we picked up two more pieces of furniture, which went quickly. Then off to my new place, which was a bout 20 minutes away. (We went from North Arlington to South Arlington) Then it was offloading everything. Again, it went smoothly. Items went the first floor,up to the second floor, or down to the finished basement. There was one small break that occurred with a small, delicate antique coffee table. I did not notice it immediately. And I was able to do the repair myself. That was it. I would use them again. They were conscientious, careful, and professional.

I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for four hours of moving services and it was fine. They were very professional and did not break anything. They were very good and flexible. We paid $200 more because we extended the time. This company wrapped everything very carefully and followed instructions well on a couple of things we wanted done a certain way. Unloading was the same way. We had a couple of problems with things that did not fit upstairs. They were very flexible and tried alternatives. Only two guys were there and they worked the whole way through. We were very pleased. I thought it was a good deal at the beginning, but when you start adding on the hours it was more like the same as without a deal.

An overall excellent moving experience. The 3 man team was careful with our things and speedy and efficient. We managed to complete the entire move, including cross-town drive time, within 3 and a half hours, so ended up paying for a half hour beyond the Angie's List coupon (their rate was $100/additional hour for the 3 man crew, so $50 additional plus supplies to box a TV). That plus a generous, well earned tip for the crew. A note on preparation: The move went so quickly in large part because we were well prepared before the movers arrived--everything was already boxed, furniture was already disassembled and shrink-wrapped for protection, and we had already moved a car load of our most fragile things the day ahead (framed pictures, glassware and such)--all well recommended things to do for a smooth and speedy moving experience. I can imagine that if you left it for the moving crew to do most of the furniture disassembly and wrapping, that would likely add some significant time to a 1 bedroom move (and costs for their packing supplies). Also we obtained no parking permits from the city so the moving truck could park directly in front of the buildings on both ends. There were a couple larger things I wasn't able to pack before they arrived, which they did a good and thorough job with both: shrink wrapping the couch, and bubble-wrapping and boxing a 42-inch TV. They brought plenty of furniture blankets, at no extra cost, to keep things well protected while on the truck ride across town. We scheduled the move about two weeks ahead of time. I left a voicemail at their number and had a response within an hour or so, then corresponded by email to fill out some paperwork and finalize the move date and time. I had to call back the day before to push back the start time by an hour, and they were happy to oblige. The morning of the move the team leader gave me a call when they were en route so I had a good ETA with traffic. After showing them the lay of the land, they made short work of the load out, and also helped move a couple older pieces of furniture to the curb for freecycling purposes. The whole team was friendly and asked smart questions when needed. The move in to the new place went smoothly and quickly. Boxes were color coded by destination room, so the crew was fairly self directed on where things went, just asking where they should place various furniture pieces as they came in. At the end of the move, since we were finishing fairly close to lunch time, they opted against me ordering food for the group as I had originally planned--instead preferring a good tip so they could lunch on their own before their next job.

Professional Company - Would use again.

It went well. We did end up paying twice the amount of the Big Deal because they nickel and dime us for every little thing.

Overall the move was great! We used an Angies list Coupon for 3 movers for 3 hours + 16ft truck. The overall move took about 6-7 hours so we paid for the extra hours. The movers called 30 minutes before they arrived at the residence to give enough notice. Once they arrived they got right ot work - they walk through the home to get an estimate of what needs to be moved. They are very upfront about costs and what they recommend additional packing for (fragile items, beds, tvs etc) and provide multiple options for you to choose. Unlimited furniture wrapping pads were included - however things like a matress cover, flat screen box were not. I would HIGHLY recommend getting these items from U-Haul as it is MUCH cheaper. Additionally, the moving supplies (boxes, tape etc) are very expensive so I would recommend providing these materials for the movers to use vice buying them from the company. They WILL charge you for rolls of moving tape involved with taping up the furniture pads to keep them secure. The movers were efficient and packed everything well. They took care when moving the items - being careful NOT to bang into walls, doors etc. Unlike some other moving companies - these movers took few breaks and were very good in the use of their time. One last tip would be to call the company directly to schedule your move. I tried to coordinate via e-mail/Angies List messaging which led to some confusion and not being scheduled for the original date as planned.

The crew arrived on-time and got right to work. They did some limited packing for me (which they did quickly and carefully). They broke down the furniture, wrapped items to protect them, and gave me a variety of options to keep my costs in line. At my new address, they worked quickly and placed boxes and furniture in the spaces I requested. Overall, everyone was friendly, professional and helpful. I did feel that the price was a little more expensive than I had hoped for . But they were good about scheduling, dealt with my move date changing (as my closing was delayed), and were efficient.

These movers were fantastic! We purchased an option for 3 movers, 3 hours, 16' truck for $349, which is a very competitive price. Our move took an extra hour, and then there are extra charges for the supplies used to wrap up your furniture (tape, plastic, etc.). I have heard of movers taking a long time and moving slowly to max out the hours. This was definitely not the case! They worked so quickly and efficiently; well-oiled machine. I would absolutely use them again. A couple things to note - there are additional costs that may not be mentioned in the initial communication. 1. Make sure you get a full price list, and 2. Make sure you verify number of steps, etc. and if there will be a charge. We didn't need our TV moved, but if we had, it would have been an additional $55 charge, etc. The charges were not unreasonable, but be aware.

we bought the angies list coupon $349 for 3 men w. truck for 3 hrs. they showed up on time and took care with the furniture - nothing was damaged or broken. the move only took them only 2 hrs. i recommend them and would use them again.

G&J Movers arrived right on time, and they were very professional. They worked fast and got the furniture wrapped up and carried out and packed on the truck. All our possessions were free of any damages.

Everything went exceptionally well. The workers were professional and efficient. No pieces were broken.

If you had an A+ rating category, that would be the one I would pick. My husband and I have made a lot of moves--and each experience up til now was pretty much a nightmare! G and J changed all that. Their follow-up before the move was terrific, they arrived on time, told us each step of the way what they were doing and if there was a charge for certain special packaging, etc. We got to say yes or no to all. They were professionals and we could tell that they were not just day workers. It was obvious that they all had pride in their work. The supervisor was excellent and made good suggestions on the other end about best placement of furniture etc, and was patient when we asked to try something another way. Nothing was a problem, all was done cheerfully. The team worked carefully but quickly at the same time. Moving is a stressful thing, but these guys definitely helped to reduce our stress level! Thanks to them...we would hire them again in a minute!

I planned and scheduled our move with G&J more than a month ahead, which meant the date we wanted was available. First I talked to them on the phone and then switched to email. Both times they were very polite and helpful. On the move date, the driver called me to say they are on their way, which was awesome. Two guys arrived and started work right away. Before proceeding, they explained to me what extra charges there might be, if any, and they they will make sure to run by me. The guys even didn't mind to have me ride with them to the new place. The whole process - from A to Z - was smooth and easy. I used the Angie's List coupon and they managed to finish within the time frame specified in the coupon. Will absolutely use their services again!

It went very good. They were very efficient and polite. They took great care with our stuff to make sure it would not be damaged.

It went very well. Had to make two trips; and a few minor things were damaged; but nothing seriously, and we had to try to fit things up and down turning staircases. They were polite, thoughtful and worked very hard indeed. Absolutely no significant problems.

Movers showed up on time and got right to work. It was a tought move out of a a 16th floor apartment, so we could only take one elevator load down at a time. They asked questions if they weren't sure about something. The move ended up taking 2 hours longer than scheduled, but they powered through. Nothing broker. Great moving experience, especially with all the horror stories you hear. Price was also right. We had a coupon for angies list (4 hours, 2 movers for $350). Each extra hour (and we needed two of them) was around 60 or 70 dollars, which is a very competitive price.

They packed the truck well so that our furniture wasn't damaged, and were careful not to scrape the walls when moving the furniture in and out. We were extremely happy with the service they provided and we'd happily hire them again.

Overall it went well. I had previously made the majority of the move by boxing everyting and making 4 to 5 trips with my car. I would have completed the move my self but my wife was pregnant and I could not move the bigger furniture by my self. They were very professional and took care in not damaging items during the move. What I did not care for was that all the tape to be used is not included in the price and everything besides labor, truck and a few padding covers are to be paid extra. I had my own rolls of tape so I had them use mine first. However, make sure you remind them of this.

I used a coupon, which covered most of the move from our apartment to our house. Extra time was needed to move stuff out of my storage unit and into the house. At the beginning, I was required to sign a waiver for damage to pressed wood furniture (e.g. Ikea). Sure enough, a long, deep gash was made in my Ikea dining room table. Just because I signed the waiver didn't mean I actually expected anything to be damaged. No big deal, I guess. We just threw a table cloth over it and it's only Ikea furniture. Everything else went very well. The workers are efficient and hard working. I thought they might stop for lunch but they kept on working through the afternoon.

Move went very well. Movers came within two hour time window, called 30 minutes in advance as they said they would. Two young men were quite professional, worked hard, moved my office furniture without causing any damage. They were even able to move my 15 year old computer desk without damaging it; quite a feat!

Very professional, Excellent Job all the way around. i WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.
