We love it! Val is the ultimate professional. Not only was he easy to have around and incredibly tidy, but his work was immaculate. We look forward to hiring Val for our next project.

It was great. Val was going to be out of town between time of contract signing and start date. He had given me some of his sources so I could go and look for products. Bought a beautiful vanity and flooring from one. Rest purchased at big box stores. This is for a rarely used bathroom, so I economized. Val installed new bathtub and subway tile. Also replaced toilet. Did a wonderful paint job, Was helpful when I asked questions about lighting and made suggestions which I followed. He was always on time and cleaned up every day. We were always able to reach him via text even in the evenings. Good subcontractors too. (plus, he didn't laugh or chide about the outlandish the color was !!!!)

Great!......Val had done some work on our kitchen a month or so earlier (which we're thoroughly enjoying!).....I called him after we had the florescent light fixture above the sink switched out to a pendant light and he graciously came by a few days after my call and beautifully repaired the ceiling. As my past reviews have indicated, I highly recommend Val for big projects as well as smaller repair jobs. He's does great work, has the knowledge and expertise to implement changes when unexpected challenges arise and always cleans up on a daily basis before leaving. He's definitely the contractor we will use when future projects are planned.

Val is an excellent contractor & worker. He doesn’t quit until the job is done to your satisfaction. I would certainly use him again.

Val did a great job with our kitchen. He even went to Home Depot himself to look up specifics of our tiles and buy sealers to do the sealing properly. He is a great professional and we trusted him to be in our house while we were gone. Would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking to have work done.

Several contacts with Irish Accents from both myself and my wife to which we were told they would let their electrical contractor know... he never contacted. Anyway this goes on for a few weeks... frustrated I give up and decide to just get my money back having bought the deal through Angles lust. Well to my surprise according to phone guy Jeff they can only issue refunds within the thirty day point. SO point of story try not to buy projects through Angles lust and if you do make sure to cancel before the ALMIGHTY 30 day period if the yahoo's fail to get the job done!!!

We just had beautiful deck built on back of our home. Val Little with Irish Renovations did the work. He does amazing work, always cleans area, and works only one job at a time. Our deck was completed in a week & we love it. I wanted a different shape rather than rectangle & he drew up a plan that I liked & made it exactly how I wanted! Val is great guy, very trustworthy & does excellent work. This is third project we've had done by him. Highly recommend!!!

This is our third renovation project using Val Little, owner of Irish Accents and Renovation. As with the two previous projects, the process was stress free and the result was beautiful. Val demoed our pantry and desk area in the kitchen. He completely cleaned out and finished the demoed area to allow for a custom pantry/TV cabinet/trash-recycle bin and broom closet installation. He was able to use the hardwood flooring from the pantry to repair the floor that was under the desk … the result was perfect and kept us from having to completely redo the hardwood flooring. He created a pass through from the kitchen to the dining area. When there was an issue with a sewage pipe on the inside of the wall right in the middle of where the pass through would be, Val was able to redirect the pipe to accommodate the pass through. Overhead and under counter lighting was installed. Val is a hard worker who takes great pride in his work. He’s always willing to listen to his clients and will make any necessary adjustments in the job to ensure things are exactly as the client hoped for. He was always punctual and took care to clean up the work area before leaving each day. My husband and I were 100% satisfied with the remodel job from beginning to end. We highly recommend him and will definitely use him on our next project!

Val Little handled the project with confidence and even though it went a bit past the target completion date, the kitchen turned out great and we are very pleased. He worked around the cabinet pro we hired for cabinetry only. He was careful to prep and remove appliances without damage. He addressed my concerns along the way and took care to correct anything that was not perfect, and I am one picky customer to work with. I expect excellent work and was not disappointed. Our dated kitchen is now our favorite room in the house and it looks fantastic!

Where do I start? Love, love this company!! Came out for estimate and within a few days, we had an outline of the remodel and price. We had 4 estimates and Val's (the owner) estimate only included labor. This made comparing a little difficult, but due to his professional attitude, my husband and I decided to go with his company. By the end, the total cost was right in line with other company's estimates that included materials. However, I believe we got better quality products for the same price. During the remodel, due to unforeseen construction of the original home's floor beams, we were unable to move the toilet as designed. Therefore, Val and I had to come up with alternative plans. He was very flexible in design options and did not change the price. He demolished the old bathroom (tub, vanities x 2, shower, flooring), removed walls, built a two person shower, installed the plumbing, vanity, light fixtures (the electric was done by another person recommended by him), new subflooring, built a closet with shelving, finish work, painting. He works with several wholesalers, who passed his contractor pricing through to us. We did have to pick out all items such as tile, detailing, grout, vanity, etc., but the people in the store were helpful.

It went very well. No issues. Would use Val again.

Val Little and his worker put up Durock in the shower and on the floors, put up tile in the shower on walls, floor in shower and bathroom floor, put in our vanity and toilet bowl, installed our fixtures in the shower. We purchased (on our own time and money) all the tiles, bathroom vanity, toilet bowl, fixtures including faucets, shower accessories, all the grout and metal edging for walls. 8. How did it go overall? Tell us the story from start to finish (10,000 character limit): Horrible! We never got an answer as to why Val and his worker put in our brand new tile floor all over the room and shower and then proceeded to scrape the popcorn ceiling and start to install the durock on the walls without covering the tile floors which had spaces in-between. When we checked the 3rd day of work, many of the tile spacers were cracked and imbedded into the spaces of the tiles, the dark gray shower floor was full of mortar crumbs which was being stepped on and all of the working materials (cutters, bags of mortar, buckets of dirty water was left on the new floor each night. When asked why, we were told ‘this is how it is done’. Well when the job was done, the shower floor looks like it has been used for 10 years! The white powder substance which was grinder into the tiles does not come off no matter what I use. Very disappointing. The excuse Mr. Little gave was our a/c was not on high enough for him and his worker. We are still grouting areas in the shower where he forgot. Mr. Al did a wonderful job. He in French doors in the family room painted the wall and put a backsplash in my kitchen to include matching grout.

The entire bathroom was gutted. The tub and shower was replaced with a large custom tile shower with a seamless 8 ft. glass door. Two shower heads were installed along with recessed lighting and an exhaust fan. The wall between the tub and shower was removed and rebuilt to allow for a 6 ft. shower with seating across the back. The single sink vanity was replaced with a custom built 2 sink vanity with a quartz vanity top. A custom storage unit was built to fit the open area where the old shower had been. To compete the redo, a new toilet, fresh paint, new tile flooring and bead board was installed. My husband and I couldn't be happier with the finished product and would highly recommend Val to anyone looking to update their homes. Val was very competitive price wise. Throughout the process, he offered suggestions as needed and was always open to changes we wanted along the way. He completed the job on the timeline promised, in a professional manner, with great attention to detail. He was very punctual, worked hard, and did an excellent job of cleaning up the work area every day before leaving. We were so pleased with the work done on our master bath, we asked Val to complete a renovation project on our downstairs guest bathroom. We were extremely pleased with both projects. When we're ready to move forward with other projects, Val will be the one we call!

It went beautifully. Val is a diligent and meticulous worker. The job was efficient and exceeded our expectations. He worked through the day even when very hot outside. He kept his area neat and made every effort to protect our small children from being harmed. Very safe and conscientious. No trash or mess left behind. Kind and polite. Fair and cost worthy. Hey Angie's List, I would highly recommend Irish Accents and Renovations. This was for a full renovation job for an investment property i have in VA Beach VA. The quality of the work performed was excellent and the estimates were in the ball park of what the actual cost was. There were a variety of jobs performed that included, demolition, interior painting, full bathroom remodel, and installed new carpet. Also the communication was fantastic. If there were adjustments and additional costs Val with Irish Accents would text me for the approval along with his recommendations. GOT TO LOVE A CONTRACTOR THAT COMMUNICATES... RANDY

Irish Accents & Renovations did a terrific job. I found the company very trustworthy (a must since we had to leave the house keys with them!), on time, and professional. The work is definitely high-quality craftsmanship. I'll am engaging Irish Accents for other work as well, and will continue using this company. Very impressed. Val was professional, reliable and very skilled at tile work. We were very pleased and would hire him in the future.

Stage 1 went exceptionally well. We are an elder couple & he went above & beyond the call of duty. Stage 2 went well except for the counter top installer who set us back on time-kept putting us off & make it take longer. He said he would probably not use him again.

VAL was on time & well priced. He was helpful in his schedule b/c he worked around our cothes inflexible work schedules he did good, quality, and efficient work.

Val called right away and made an appointment for several days out. He came to my home to check a tile shower that had been previously caulked by another provider. The caulk had disintegrated into mush. Val went into the crawl space to check for a leak and found no evidence. Since I had already dug out some of the old caulk he was able to see that there was no water damage but did mention that the tile had been installed incorrectly, making a gap at floor. His advice to me was to wait to be sure the pan was dry then he could come back to caulk or I could easily do it myself (being that I am somewhat handy with a caulk gun). I chose to do it myself which saved me from waiting to book and also saved some money. Val got back to me to tell me the exact type of caulk to use and had conferred with another tile specialist as well. Correct type is key. I appreciate that Val was honest and didn't charge us anything for his time and expertise. That's practically unheard of anymore. I completed the caulking and so far looks great and was easy enough to do myself. Val contacted me the other day to see how my repairs turned out. I appreciated the follow up. I would definitely use Irish Accents for future home repairs and renovations.

Irish Accents is a very trustworthy company. Work is done on time, to specs, and very professional. Trustworthiness is important because we're not around all the time and must leave a key. We have no qualms about doing so. We've used Irish Accents before for a new ceiling and a bathroom remodeling, with great results. There has never been a problem with the job or the craftsmanship, and the price is very fair. We plan to continue using this great company!
