Donna's Painting

The crew was punctual and neat. They did a terrific job. The hospital looks amazing! I could not have asked for a better painting team. They showed up right on time, and they were very agreeable when I made a few color changes. Outstanding company and I will be using them again for my home!

We are in the process of getting our home ready to sell and needed to have the outside doors and trim painted. I contacted Letitcia Ore prior to purchasing deal for exterior painting to find out availability. She asked me to text her my address and email address and she would let me know how quickly she could schedule the work. She responded very promptly with a date for the following week which was perfect. On the day before the work was to be completed, I contacted her to ask about a contingency plan in the event of rain. (I saw the weather report for the scheduled day and rain was forecasted for the afternoon.) She told me that she checked the weather report and that it was not going to rain and that they would be at our home between 8-8:30. There was very heavy rain the night before the scheduled day. I received an EMAIL at 6am on the morning that they were supposed to be complete the work letting me know that they ould not be coming because it rained the night before. I promptly called her to discuss. She told me that my trim was wet and that they would be unable to paint and then she asked me if I knew what the forecast was for the day! I let her know that I was standing outside touching my door and trim and that nothing was wet and asked if she would please send the painters. She told me that it wouldn't be worth her time because it would be an hour travel time each way and if they didn't finish they would have to come back. I asked her to please send the painters because the amount of painting we have could be done in about 4-5 hours. The only thing that saved us is that we did not pay for this deal up front. She sent it to me via email and told me to pay the painters once the work was completed. That is the only redeeming value about this entire inconvenience.

We were extremely pleased with every aspect of it. They were very professional. Everything was great. They were able to stay within the $499 Big Deal purchase price. It was just a wonderful job. They were very good about setting the times and sticking to it. They were very prompt. They did a very good cleanup and followed-up to make sure we were satisfied and we were very satisfied with it. We would definitely consider using them again in the future.

I liked them a lot. They did a great job. They had to do a lot of spackling in a half bathroom and they did a great job, and they did it in one day. I didn't have to do any clean up after they left. UPDATE 4/24/2015: Their price was good so I hired them back. She said the caulking and painting would be $180 initially and take a half-day to complete. I also got an estimate for repairing the main level floor and the deck - both came out at around $5000 as an estimate before they came out to do the work. Today I was told it would take all day to do the painting and caulking costing $500 when the contract said $180. She put it down to $300 but the agreed price was already indicated in the contract. She wanted to charge me more money and I refused. She refused to make it right and she walked away from an additional $5000 job along with the $180 job.

Outstanding. Very happy with them. It was all done within the time frame that I scheduled with them. I was traveling back and forth. It was fairly soon. She got a hold of me basically even before like either the same day or the next day she contacted me and we scheduled something. They came when they said they were going to come. Everything was wonderful. It was one days worth of work for two folks and the owner was here. It was not easy to get on because the walls hadn't been primed. They just did such a good job. Every time I go in there I just love it. We scheduled it at a time that would work for me they did it in a time frame that they said they would do it in. I had painted in another bathroom but I am not good at doing that little corking around the edges of the sinks and they are wonderful.

I was just so pleased with it. A year later I am just ecstatic. Very pleasant, very timely. It was such as nice experience. I have recommended them to others.

Donna's Painting did very well and always go above and beyond with the quality and thoughtfulness of work performed within the stated quotes and budget outlined. This recent job was booked after two previous services provided where each job was done to a level of quality that I expected. It is important to clearly state requirements and I am sure any customer of Donna's Painting will be happy with the quality and value.

We requested a quote for work to be done on our exterior back on January 21, 2015. The Sunday of January 25th a rep came out to look at the house to develop a quote for the painting and trim work needed. We were supposed to get a quote via e-mail January 26th, this never happened without an explanation. I called Letecia, the point of contact, she apologized on February 4, 215 and said she would come out to make a visit to get a quote for us. I don't know if that ever happened. A week later on February 10, 2015 I informed her we still ahd no quote and we would just seek out a different contractor. She apologized once more, admitting they were having some issue internally. If you ahve issue it happens, companies have tough times, but if you want business to succeed or grow keep you customers, especially the potential new ones, in the loop. A simle call or text about following up would have helped. We initiated all the contact, never were they proactive about letting us know if we would get a quote or not. A waste of three week and disappointment on our first try of using Angie's list on an "A" rated company.

Painters arrived on time. They immediately set to work once I described which areas I wanted painted. Although I attempted to spackle some holes the night before, they did a much better job, including sanding, without being asked. All of my belongings were handled with great care and covered completely during the day. They even touched up my baseboards again without being asked. Once they were done, they cleaned up everything and moved all of my belongings back to their original place. I work from home and was concerned that it might be noisy or distracting. They were efficient, quiet and did a wonderful job. Would highly recommend!

They did phenomenal work! However, I had a bathroom, bedroom, and hallway I wanted painted. They go the bedroom done fairly quickly and then they disappeared into the bathroom and took an incredibly long time to work on it. The punctuality was great and the quality of work was great, but I don’t feel like I got my time’s worth. I felt taken because there were two people working on a tiny bathroom for 5 hours. I kept checking with them and asking how it was going, but they kept saying they were working on the bathroom and didn’t feel like they wouldn’t get to the hallway. I felt like they didn’t want to do the hallway, especially when they finished the bedroom in an hour.

They were late & did not call. They worked hard & were courteous.

Great job. They were onsite for 2 days, very professional. Very thorough.

Donna's painting did a fantastic job on my basement. They were on time, torough and professional. I would absolutley use them again.

Very talented team of two that showed up on time, kept everything covered and clean as they worked. Can't hardly believe the results, it was better than expected. They fixed all the nail pops in master bedroom and master bath and others upstairs. The seams came out better than I expected. Hung some drywall and finished the piece, seamed it and painted it and it looks better than it ever did. Painted everything with the paint we had for each ceiling. They cleaned up before they left and there was no mess for us to clean up later. Very pleased with their courtesy, professionalism, work accomplished and would definitely use them again. Very good experience for us.

The experience could not have been any better. They came on time, and did not need reminding of the date despite the weeks that passed from scheduling. They did exactly what was asked, and did a great job on every aspect of the contract. All of the employees were courteous, nice and professional. Will clearly hire them again!

They were very quick to respond to all of our emails. The estimate was very fair. They were punctual on all the days they came to our house, and they left no mess behind. The work that they did was excellent, and our home looks new! We highly recommend.

I hired donnas paint to paint one side of my house and trim following repair. The job was done on time, and looks real good. I will have them come back and paint the rest in the spring.

Without reservation, we give Donna's Painting our highest recommendation. We scheduled an appointment for an estimate. They were prompt, polite, and knowledgeable. Their quote arrived via e-mail later that evening. In our opinion, their price was reasonable for the work we needed. The deal was sealed and an approximate starting date was established...dependent on the weather. They arrived on time on the scheduled start date even though rain had been in the forecast. They worked removing and replacing the fascia boards until the heavens opened but returned the next day bright and early. They diligently worked to complete all of the tasks at hand within their time estimate. The final 'product' is beautiful. It reveals skill, pride in craftsmanship, and a keen attention to detail. Their work ethic was impeccable. The exterior of our home now looks new! We will transact business with Donna's Painting again.

The estimator arrived on time and barely spent 5 minutes looking over the fence before knocking on my door, giving me a business card and letting me know my estimate will be e-mailed. No info on how the work will be performed or if I wanted the sealer manually rolled on or sprayed or what kind of sealer would be applied. She didn't even measure out the length of the fence which is only 200 linear feet. The estimate I received ($1980.00) was pretty ridiculous at nearly 3xs higher than 3 other companies (two who are listed on Angie's) who gave estimates for the same job. The pine fence was purchased and installed for $2500.00 and is only 7 weeks old but some how Donna's estimator thought two thousand dollars seemed like a fair price just to slap on ONE COAT of sealer. I can just imagine how they mark up their interior work. I would not recommend them or use them in the future. Update (12/10/14): MY response to contractors comments Your Comment: "When you open your door on that day I noticed that you were busy with your kids and I did not want to bother you after I gave you my card and I got your email." Me trying to keep my son away from the front door while I am speaking with a stranger is no excuse for you not giving sufficient detail or explanation on the job you are providing an estimate for, Or allowing me the time to ask questions. Your Comment: "I agree with you that our price for this kind of work is not the most competitive one because we use a good stain not only sealer and also because we always take our time with this kind of work to assure that the stain will stay and last for a while in your fence." Another excuse by your company. The fact is that the company I contracted with also used a quality Sherman Williams product (like your company was offering) to seal the fence and provided 3 painters who took an appropriate amount of time brushing and rolling the product onto my fence. So I do not understand what magical process or materials your company uses that necessitates a fee that is two to three times higher than your competition. Your Comment: "I wanted to let you know that I did count the number of panels that you have there and they are usually the same size so I did not really need to measure the whole fence to provide you the estimate." I want to let you know that every other company that provided a reasonable estimate actually used a Measuring Wheel. And NO, not all my panels are the same length on my property because of obstructions.

Service was great. The crew was very polite and worked hard. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

We contacted them through Angie's list, and through repeated emails, we were able to schedule a time to come by. However after my husband spoke with their estimator. I then got an email that the foreman had stopped by, but I wasn't there so they couldn't complete the estimate. I pointed out that my husband had spoken with their person that day. They explained that this was just the painting estimator, and they didn't know there would be carpentry and they needed to send someone for that in another few days. This despite me clearly stating in the bid request that there would be rotted wood that would need to be replaced. I declined the offer to send another person--if you can't send the right people to do the estimate, I'm not sure how I can trust you to send the right person to do the job.

When I talked to her, we had some trouble understanding one another. She informed me that she does not service my area, so she said she would get back to me about how to get a refund. It took a week and a half for her to get back to me, and the number she gave me was invalid. I called Angie's List to get my refund.

We were very pleased with the overall experience and outcome of our home maintenance projects completed by Donna's Painting. Thru the bidding process, all the way to the closing invoice, Leticia Ore was a pleasure to work with. Ms. Ore was gently nudging us to keep up with the bidding process, without trying to overwhelm us with pressure to select them. Once we did select Donna's Painting, the work was done according to the schedule they outlined, or after coordinating changes with our schedule. They worked completely around our scheduling requirements. We wanted to be home for the interior work, since we have a small pet. My schedule is pretty erratic, but they were able to coordinate ahead of time, a block of ten days to complete all the work. We had one small misunderstanding about the garage hardware (shelves, hooks, etc), which forced me to have to remove them at the last minute. But, every item that was brought to the attention of Ms. Ore, was acted on promptly, and to my satisfaction. They were careful to cover everything during the painting and construction work inside the house. Once they were done, all that was noticed was the fresh paint job.

The men came on time and did the job on time. No huss or fuss but pure professionalism. Great job!
