Description of Work: Shulton Painting & Drywall: an exceptional company. Overseen by Victor. His work supervisor was Ed. Several weeks ago, our home experienced a serious plumbing issue in our kitchen (a copper water supply line leak). As our home is about 3 decades old & we had had several other such leaks over the last ten years, I judged more such leaks were in store for us. To find and repair, when they occur, can be expensive. So, I had a good plumbing company came in to re-plumb the entire house (i.e., removal of all copper piping and replacement with PEX piping). On the work’s conclusion, the house was a virtual disaster area: multiple dry-wall ceilings and walls with cavernous holes throughout out house. Enter Shulton Painting & Drywall. A dynamite company with focused, expert employees under experienced supervision. Insulation, dry-wall replacement and repair, cabinet pulling/re-fastening, and extensive painting occurred over the course of one week. On completion, Shulton left us a beautiful house, just like new. Especially pleasing too was that their crew’s work methods were both careful and neat. At each work day’s end, they cleaned up their work areas. Total job from start to finish about $7000. (Their cost estimate, incidentally, when I was competing different companies was one of the best I received.) In sum, Shulton’s work was excellent. Their customers (my wife and me) completely satisfied.

+ -1 moreThe two men arrived on time and worked hard and spent about 15 minutes more than the 4 man hours. We had more to do than could be accomplished in the time (which was fine) BUT they left some areas that still needed to be sanded and left a 4 inch glob of drywall that fell from the ceiling on one of the walls, which was not being repaired. They worked hard BUT they left 'splatters' of drywall compound all around the rooms and splattered it from the ceiling onto the walls so we ended up having to paint spots on the walls because of the ceiling repair?!? Then they asked for $15 for supplies, which were supposed to be covered by the Angie's list Big Deal. "This Offer Includes: Up to four man-hours of drywall or plaster repair Labor and inexpensive supplies such as tape and spackle." When i complained to the manager, he said that the deal "coupon only covers inexpensive materials (Approximately no more than $5 dollars worth of materials)" He said that they used a bag of "easy sand compound" 4 man hours should be enough to repair some drywall but when 2 men work for 2 hours, it means that the compound hasn't had time to dry, so they leave the sanded undone. My expectation is that 'drywall' repair should leave the walls 'paint ready' which these were definitely not. i was a bit disappointed but overall they accomplished the tough work above the stairs and in the bathroom.

We decided to have them install another piece of drywall but not finish it. A very reasonable extra amount was charged and we were happy with the work.

+ -1 moreI purchased 4 hours of drywall work through Angie's List BIG DEAL offer. Two workers showed up, on time ... in fact a little early, which was perfectly all right with me. They were courteous. The workers made the repairs and after two hours of work I received a call from their office saying they weren't done and could either leave or continue working for an additional fee. I was surprised, because I thought I had purchased 4 hours of work, but the office said it was 4 MAN hours. Of course I didn't want them to leave the job unfinished, so I told him to tell the workers to stay until they completed the job. The office said it would probably be another 2 hours worth of work and they would charge me an additional $125.00. After about another hour and a half, they said they were done and were leaving. I was already upset that I had to pay the additional amount so I really didn't inspect the work that carefully (my bad). Once they left, I was amazed at how sloppy the work was. I understand that some of the work was tricky (they had to replace drywall around the dryer vent in the ceiling), but even the garage ceiling work was a bit sloppy. I won't be using this company again.

The contractor was actually early as they had a previous cancellation and called to request moving up our appointment time. I am very happy with the completed work. The gentlemen who came to my home were all very courteous and seemed quite efficient. I would definitely use this company again should I require drywall work in the future.
Description of Work: Repaired ~20" x 20" hole in ceiling drywall, mudded over previously replaced drywall in garage ceiling, repaired ~4' x 8" hole in wall drywall.

The technician arrived within the scheduled window and promptly began work. He was very pleasant, polite, and considerate of the cleanliness of the workspace. The work was accomplished efficiently and exactly as requested. In total he patched 3 holes in the drywall, (2 were large), one crack, and one bit of damage on the vaulted ceiling. This work was paid for with an Angie's List Deal and one thing that I appreciated was the lack of any attempt to upcharge the deal. I am used to providers attempting to upcharge the pre-paid deals and I appreciated the fact that Shulton's employee did not do that, he simply executed the agreement efficiently and to a high level of quality.

The work was completed in exactly two hours The quality was fantastic the workman offered advice to my wife on pre-paint preparation (we are doing that ourselves) and was very professional and helpful. Perfect cleanup after the job - left it cleaner than when he started. I could not be happier with the work.

+ 0 moreAfter a water leak the contractor came a start doing the demolition. I was worried about the pricing but the prices was much less that was quoted by insurance Company. Their crew were very polite and wore uniforms at all times. This was very important because you always need to know who you are letting inside your house. Double drywall ceiling was installed and the repairs that I thought they were going to take at least weak were completed in 3 days. They clean the working area before they left.

Description of Work: I was referred to Shulton Painting and Drywall by a coworker who had used their service several times. I could not be any happier with their workmanship. They did an excellent job throughout the process of painting the interior of my home. The painting team was early and on time everyday, they were very clean and courteous. I liked their work so much that I had them installed floor tile and shower tile on two of my bathrooms.
