Description of Work: Slocum Contracting is a great company. I had a tiny closet and they were able to extend the closet adding several more feet of storage space. The guys were prompt, they worked hard and did a great job. I would definitely use them again for future projects.

Description of Work: Only issue we were not aware they were going to spray the paint on - thickness was not what we expected. Also, estimate of paint needed was way over and we were not able to return tinted paint to the store.

Description of Work: roofed a large shed for us. Turned out original pre-built shed had no tar paper. No wonder the roof leaked. Slocum cut out damaged plywood and replaced it. Even replaced one side board next to roof which had water damage. Then spread out tar paper and redid the roof. They removed all the old materials and even managed to not step on the flower bed on one side. Overall, very good workers, very professional and did a terrific job. We have them lined up for future work such as roofing the house when necesary. Highly recommend these workers. |

Description of Work: First, was an exterior painting of the row/town house. There were lots of extras required due to wood repairs, etc. There was a start off glitch with a substitute sub par paint crew that was used due to our time requirements, but replaced by one of his regular better quality crews. Completed satisfactorily. Slocum also completed satisfactorily repairs on the roofing and the repointing of the brick masonry of my house. We expect to use him this year for some extensive work on the bathrooms.

Description of Work: I was very pleased that the provider reached out to me very shortly after I purchased the coupon. However, follow up attempts to determine what supplies needed to be purchased and to address questions regarding what work could be done have gone unanswered. If you are able to view my message box you can see that I have reached out several times since 5/6 with no responses from the provider. I believe that I have given the provider ample details to contact me and review my work request, but they have failed to work with me.

Description of Work: TOP NOTCH job. Incredible customer service; the best contractor I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The painting was not only done with precision but the crew ensured the job site was picked up afterwards. I can't say enough good things about Josh Slocum and his crew.

Description of Work: The provider prepared and repainted the wrap-around front porch of my daughter's house.

Description of Work: Justin and Ken rebuilt my home's wrap around porch. This included new columns and wood railings.

Description of Work: I used Slocum Contracting for windows, interior, demolition and painting quotation.

Description of Work: We regularly use Slocum Contracting for both our rental home and our primary residence. For our primary residence, Justin and his team have done interior painting, drywall and plaster repair, exterior painting, sill repair, and power washing and staining of our deck and upstairs back porch, with some rebuilding of a portion of the deck as well. At our rental, he has done exterior painting, plaster repair, sanding/repair/painting of a door frame that tends to be susceptible to water damage. Justin at times is very busy, but always finds time to help us with both big and small jobs, and has always been honest about whether he can get to a job in a certain period of time, how long the job will take, and always gives a reasonable estimate before he does the job. My husband and I have certainly appreciated his work and his reliability, and continue to call him regularly when the to-do list gets long enough!
