Hogan & Sons Tire and Auto

I went in for an oil change and inspection (2014 Ram). Got a call telling me that the truck failed inspection because the front windows didn’t work (knew that might happen) and needed front struts. Went to the dealer to fix my electrical (window) problem and had them replace the front struts. I didn't believe the struts were in failure mode, but the truck is 7 years old, I plan to keep it for a while, so I had them replaced sooner rather than later. I went back to Hogan and Sons (the following week) with my $1900 receipt in hand for a $1 re-inspection. The inspector said that he didn’t inspect my truck and the crack in the windshield doesn’t pass inspection. The front counter service rep (SR) finally found my service receipt from the prior week that INDEED showed my truck was inspected there. He went out to the service bay to discuss with the inspector. The SR came back into the waiting area and told me that the inspector must have overlooked the crack in the windshield, and he won’t pass it. He then asked me if the inspection sticker on my windshield was a PHOTO COPY! ***!? I took possession of my truck, and no more than an hour later (after spending another $20) returned with a new inspection sticker place right under the “FAILED” crack.

Great! I ran into some issues with passing my vehicle on the state inspection ane they helped me to get it passed.

My vehicle was taken to Hogan and Son's Purcellville location on 10-1-16. It was taken there for a tire repair only. They apparently did a check on the whole vehicle, and came back with a list of things that they said were needed. One of which was new struts all the way around. I recently had brand new front struts put on this vehicle from another local garage. This really tests my trust. I am not going to speculate or make accusations. I leave that up to you to decide. I am just here to state the facts of my experience. I have attached two photos. One of the remarks in the work order, and also the bill from the garage showing that I recently had new front struts put on the vehicle.

We have one car still under warranty. We have 2 cars that is 2002 but it's got a lot of miles on it and they take very good care of it, and we got an '08 RAV4. We have been very pleased with their service. They are very responsive. They usually can take me whenever I need to bring the vehicle in, and they will take me home and pick me up when the car is ready. It is just a very nice atmosphere and I don't feel like I am being taken advantage of. They are very good on their pricing. We have been using them for as long as they have been in Purcellville.

They got all the services done in one day. We have been using them for our auto services for over 10 years now. They make a follow up call the next day. Their service is very friendly and they are not pushy. They will recommend things, and they will tell you what you need done now and what can wait.
