Description of Work: Cherry staff removed aged wall to wall in my parents family room. Spacious room but we still we able to select from their remnant (price reduced)area. Beautiful new carpet, very professional installers - kudos to all. I just secured Cherry's services for a project in December 2015.

Description of Work: I called Oct. 26 for an estimate on replacing carpet with flooring in the FROG and repairing carpet in the upstairs hall. Hope arrived within the hour, we discussed the project, she took all the needed measurements and went back to the store to work up a plan. I went in later that afternoon and selected the flooring, a beautiful hand scraped hickory laminate. There were hundreds of options to choose from so it is best to have some idea of what you might want or this will be a long store visit. We arranged to have the installations done on Nov. 2 and 3. Except for a late delivery of the flooring on Friday, everything else went exactly to my schedule. The installers were professionals, they worked quickly and cleaned up beautifully afterwards. I would definitely use this company again.

Description of Work: Our experience at Cherry Carpet was excellent. Hope arrived at our house on time and did a very thorough job measuring. She was incredibly helpful during the entire process. She also happened to be working when we visited the store. She was very knowledgeable about all the products and answered every question. If she didn't know the answers, she did the research and figured it out. The reason I give the company a B is because the installation was not as easy. We were given a date for measuring a carpet runner and a date for installation of both the carpet and the runner. They came an hour late on the day to measure and then wanted to install. Luckily we were able to manage, but it was inconvenient. They came back the next day to install the runner and were over 4 hours late. I actually had to call to make sure they were still coming. Once they were here, they did a great job, but had about 45 minutes worth of work left, and took a lunch break. I was a little irritated that they were so late and then instead of finishing so I could get on with my day, they left. They did a great job. It looks great. We are very happy with the product and how it was installed, but were disappointed with the lack of consideration during the installation process.

They quoted us $2200. The gentleman was very professional and after receiving their quote, we thought of getting some more as well. It was a quick turn around and it was very inclusive of every question that we had. At the conclusion of the meeting, the representative told me that it would be done in a certain period of time and it was. The quote was detailed enough and it answered the questions that we had asked him when he was here. Once we got a hold of him, he was here the next day and was right on time. He was very professional too. We would definitely use them again in the future, but it mainly would come down to the price, if it’s competitive or not.

It was great... they came out the same day we stopped in to talk to them. We let them know that we had found them on Angie's List and had a coupon which they gladly honored. They did the estimates and were very close, with a little left over for future needs, all of which were great. They were able to schedule the installation within a couple of days. For the installation, we have reviewed the sub-contractor (Barnes Carpet Installation) separately. Overall we were very happy with Cherry and our experiences with them. The quality of the carpet and pad were good, and the price was exactly where we needed it to be.

While we would like to use nothing but our own in-house crews, it is impossible due to the fluctuations of this industries demands at certain times of the years. I do want you to know we screen our subcontractors very closely and require them to meet our Core Values to be a part of our team: Integrity, Quality Service, Respect, Professionalism, Experience and Ethics. Mr. Barnes has been a part of our team for over 20 years now. Also in regards to using subcontractors, please recognize that unlike many companies in our field, your warranty on product and installation start and end with Cherry Carpet and Flooring. As you know, we do not ask you to contact the sub for scheduling nor do we have them handle. All aspects of your project start and end with us. If you have any issue at all, please call us and Cherry Carpet and Flooring will handle any and all claims in-house. Your contract is with us and remains with us through the life of your warranties. We will never ask you to "call the sub" for anything. I read where you spoke about us removing your material from the site. I want to let you know that all material is brought back to our shop where we proudly keep all material out of the landfill by using a reclamation service. We started this in May of 2011 without passing these additional costs on to our customers as we just feel it is the right thing to do for our environment. Since that time we have a certified record of all waste coming from our shop and job sites boasting a 88% reclamation rate - this is huge. We found Cherry carpeting through Angie's List and thought we would give them a try - and we are glad we did. The salesperson Hope came out to our home showed some samples and measured. Hope was helpful and asked us to come to their showroom to look at more samples. We did and couldn't decide on a color so Hope had samples sent to our house. Hope was thorough, very approachable and answered all of our questions. She also responded quickly to all of our e-mails. Where we were most impressed was the two gentleman who installed the carpet - they were punctual, and obviously knew their business. They performed, in my opinion, outstanding exceptional service. My wife and I are very particular reference quality, price and how we are treated and Cherry Carpeting and their installers surpassed all our expectations - Thank you. Excellent workmanship by installers.

The salesperson was wonderful at the store and had many suggestions for me, and I ended up buying "regular" carpet and the store then cut it down and surged the sides. I believe the custom part added greatly to the price, but it turned out beautifully. My only complaint is that I had to call 2 or 3 times to get the installer to make an appointment. It annoyed me that I had to pay 100% up front, and then had to make additional calls to get it scheduled. The end product is great, though.

In regards to paying upfront, I hope you were presented with our three payment options which are: 1. To pay in full upfront 2. Have your credit checked and if approved we set up a Net 30 account in house which does not place an additional account on your credit as we don't report to them - only item that shows it we completed a credit check and 3. financing of various options through GE Money. The purpose in running a credit check with Net 30 in house accounts is that we cannot know everyone's ability to pay and once installed our only option of repayment if the customer defaults is court which is costly. Just to clarify again this doe not put an account on your credit only shows an inquiry. In regards to our scheduling, we will take this comment with the intent of always trying to evolve and get better for our customers. Again, we greatly appreciate the opportunity and trust you gave us by working in your home. Thank you so much!

We have left (3) messages over a (4) week period for this customer asking her to call so that we may understand what we did wrong and correct any actions that could have resulted in these grades. She has not returned any calls as of this time unfortunately. We are confused by the pricing represented by this customer as our pricing on the product was $ 17,853.71 and not the $ 21,000 as stated. Our pricing included (3) different phasing on the job as requested by the customer which was also a consideration of cost for this project. Our installation crews are certified and trained by industry specifications. Our carpet crews ALWAYS power stretch carpet per guidelines and do not install by just kicking in product. We try very hard to be price conscious, customer service oriented and make sure we offer an exceptional value and experience to our customers. As we typically have a 97% satisfaction rate with our customer, we always welcome and appreciate feedback which can only make us better for the next customers experience. Without this feedback, we can never correct what we don't know to be a problem. Again, we welcome and would appreciate any feedback this customer could offer if they could please return our calls.

I spoke with one of their long standing employees on the phone first, Miss Virginia. She gave me an estimate for my proposed carpet purchase. I went to Cherry Carpet the next day and she gave me even a better deal than on the phone!! She was wonderful and very thorough. I recommended Cherry Carpet the day I purchased the carpets to some friends!!

I used this company and they did a good job, but I just didn t like how wet the carpets were when they were done. It took a long time for them to dry. They were good people who did an outstanding job, but I will not use them again because of the wetness.

I was very happy with the job these guys did of cleaning my carpets. There were not very many stains, but they did get out the small ones that I had. I was not sure of what the price was because my husband took care of that and he was not around today.
