He did not write the date/time on his schedule and he was already busy at that time. He was condesending and rude over the phone. I had to contact him, he never contacted me, he didn't show up for the appointment, didn't call me back for 2 hours. He called back finally and said someone could come in 2 hours. It was unnacceptable.

It went well, it took him less time than what we had paid for so he even asked if there was anything else we needed done. Very happy with their work and work ethic.

James arrived right on time. He was very professional and polite. I showed him the things I wanted done. While he started on the fan, I made a trip to the store to pick up a few other supplies. He did an excellent job on everything and would have stayed longer if I had anything else for him to do. There are quite a few things that I want to do in the spring, and plan on calling them again. I was very pleased.

The provider installed the first set of faucets fairly quickly because they were Kohler. However, the other set did not go well. It was a different brand that was not compatible with my sink. I had to run out and get another Kohler set to be installed the next day. The upside was that the work was done. The downside was that I had to pay extra to get the other set installed. The provider spent a good chunk of time figuring out how to install the other set of faucets that most of my time was up, and I wound up paying for extra time the next day. I only wish the provider was able to figure out that the faucet wasn't compatible with my sink early on in the project rather than trying to make it work. Time was of essence.

I have never had such a positive experience with a contractor. Mr. Trogdon came for the estimate and had it to us exactly when he said. Dave and his helper installed the crown molding. They were here right on time, worked hard and were finished promptly. The molding is fabulous. Rahim came to do the painting. We have a lot of molding to paint, 2 story ceiling and walls. He was here early in the morning and worked hard all day for two days. Everyone was very professional, neat, did fantastic work and I would definitely have them back anytime. Mr. Trogdon was always very responsive. One thing he does that I love is he sends you a picture and the names of his people coming to your house. He is very easy to work with. Rahim and Dave are incredible. I can't say enough about them. The actual dates were 8/23,28,29/2013

Jay and his crew were very professional. We had some ceiling damage due to a condensation line on the air conditioner. I called Trogdon Enterprises the following day to schedule for him to come out. He was very conscious of the remaining furniture in the room and disassembled everything to get it out of the room for him to sand. I was very pleased with the craftsmanship of the work. and will definitely use them in the future.

Greg really went above and beyond. This job ended up being quite a pain, requiring much more demo than expected and taking quite a bit of time. Greg did an outstanding job - we're very happy with the floor and Greg is punctual, responsive and very professional. We have several investment properties - we'll be using Trogdon Enterprises for many of our home needs.

Greg was great, he was knowledgeable, polite, efficient, resourceful, showed initiative, willingness, offered solutions, explained possible alternatives. We were so pleased, that we will call for another appointment after we buy some parts.

Good reliable service provided. Was able to add on a few more jobs which were not discussed earlier for a reasonable cost.

On his first job in my home, he replaced a dryer vent hose, replaced 3 toilet seats, and replaced weather stripping on my garage door. He diagnosed the problem with my bathtub drain and bifold doors falling off their track. I purchased the kit necessary to repair the bathtub drain and new bifolds (since you can only get the hardware by buying new doors).So, on the second job ($88 coupon) he installed the bathtub drain and the track for the new doors. On the third job (no coupon) he removed 2 inches of cabinet above my stove to install my new microwave the recommended 18" height above the stove. Once again, the cost of the job was reasonable. And completed in less than a day. I have found my handyman!!! Thanks to Angie's List!

Greg was punctual and went to work immediately upon arrival. He did an excellent job in all counts being very mindful that he was on the clock to complete all tasks within 4 hours. Very satisfied with the services provided.

This was absolutely the best experience I have ever had with a workman . - My appointment was scheduled for 8:00 am. Jeff Trogden called me about 7:50 am to let me know they would be a little late. David Loveland arrived about 8:10 am. It was very nice to be notified. - David was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He took the time to ensure that all items where repaired to my satisfaction and to explain why and what he did. Since I live alone, I am always cautious of new people around my home. David made me feel completely at ease. All the items on my list were completed to my satisfaction. After trying numerous other handyman services, I have finally found one I will definitely call again.

Jay was done very quickly and it was clear that he was very comfortable and skilled in doing this work, and that he has the skills to do a very broad range of work. In fact, I should have been more prepared so that he could get additional things done in the time alloted! Jay also answered a lot of my questions about other potential work, being clear when there were things that would be more involved - he is careful to set expectations, which I appreciate. I just booked Jay to come back for more work and plan to use his services on a regular basis going forward.

Dave was very punctual and provided good service from start to finish. He explained what he was doing, and made sure the lock worked before moving on to the window. Both are now working great! He also made sure I was happy with the repair and cleaned up completely when finished.

The workman (David) was punctual, polite and efficient. He was extremely good at his job and I will bring him back again to do more work in the fall. I give him an A+

I was disappointed because he could have just sent one guy here instead of two. Since he only sent one man they had to come back the second day to finish and I had to pay extra money as a result. It was a lot of work for one person. He was good at what he was doing, but was by himself. He came on time and knew what he was doing.

The date of the last contact is a guess. I did not use the Big Deal I purchased which was for 2 hours of work. One of the most important things I had on my list of possible work was beyond my knowledge of time required and I could not select which things to have done without knowing that. I expected to pay for more than the 2 hours included in the coupon but needed to have some idea of the time and cost for all the work on my list. The only way to determine time needed was to have the contractor look at the potential job (which could not be adequately described over the phone) but he was unwilling to provide a free estimate. His reason was that I was getting a discount with the Big Deal so he could not come out to give me an estimate. I was unwilling to engage a contractor who charges for an estimate so I wrote off the $79 I had paid.

Contacted Trogdon Enterprises to inspect an empty rental property and to provide a quote for the needed repairs. He showed up on time and provided a fair quote. To schedule the work, we exchanged emails and phone calls, which he replied to very quickly. He started and finished this project in the time period expected. They did an excellent job. I have no complaints and will use them again.

Jay is efficient and very knowledgeable, courteous and professional. He also gave me an estimate to remodel 2 kitchen cabinets so he can install a microwave over my stove. I am making a list of other home projects.

Jay Trogdon was always on time and even started his work on a holiday (Memorial Day). He completed the work in 4 and 1/2 days. On two occasions he was pulled away by emergency work but he still completed the work in one week. I was pleased that the work was done in that time period. I prepared my own home for the painting by packing up breakables, removing artwork from the walls, moving furniture into the center of the room, removing some furniture to a screen porch, and covering all furniture with sheets of thick plastic. He and his workers did general cleaning with their own vacuum which was appreciated. After the painting was finished, Jay removed all of my plastic covers but I put all furniture back in place myself. I preferred doing that myself. I actually purchased all the paint so the $1200 did not include the paint. If I hire Jay to restain my siding on my home, he will purchase all the stain needed.

We ordered one of the big deals of 2 hours handyman work for $79. When scheduling the appointment, Jay asked me to email him a photo of the damaged ceiling so that he could advise on the supplies we needed, which I greatly appreciated since I didn't know what we would need. He replied to my email promptly with a list of exactly what I needed to purchase. He then called me the day before to confirm the appointment and let me know that his assistant David would be completing the work. David arrived right on time and was extremely professional and friendly. He assessed the situation and got right to work. He did an outstanding job and even came up with a creative solution to fix the stippling on the ceiling so that we wouldn't have to address it later, which is what we had expected to do. Since he completed the job faster than we had expected, he asked if there was anything else he could do. We had an issue with our fence gate, which he assessed on the spot, determined he had what was needed to get it done and fixed that promptly as well. He did a great job cleaning up after so that there was no sign we just had repair work done. We were extremely pleased!

What a great find. Jay is professional, polite, skilled and very reasonable in price. I originally hired him to vent a dryer but when someone I hired froml Angies list's BIG DEAL for a ceramic tile shower didn't bother to show up, Jay mentioned that he did ceramic tile, so I hired him. He does absolutely beautiful work, He does the dry wall, the plumbing, and the tile. He even publishes his prices for almost everything he does right on his website! Not only do I highly recommend this genlte giant but I am going to use for everything I am planning on doing to my house. A handyman like Jay is priceless.

The initial small job was a success and fairly priced at $60 for about two hours of work; it was quality work and Jay was professional and gave honest advice. The tile repair on our front porch was particularly well done. We appreciated his online quoting and billing, and it's convenient to work with him via PayPal. During this initial service we asked Trogdon for an estimate and quote on several larger projects, and he got back to us promptly with pricing, which wasn't the cheapest we found but was reasonable. We made Trogdon our first choice for a set of additional, larger projects based on how well the first visit went and paid a 10% deposit. The projects went well over 2 days but needed some follow-up a week afterward to re-do the deck railing work and address some problems with the turbine vents. During the project, Jay told me that the roof problems were more extensive than initially thought, which was helpful to know. The day after the job, he was able to produce a detailed invoice that was below the initial estimate by $100 because he wasn't able to do as much with the roof as planned. He required payment upon receipt of the invoice, which is what we agreed upon. There was no additional charge for the follow-up work to make things right.

He notified us the day before to confirm exactly what work he would be doing for us as well. When Jay arrived he was very friendly and professional; and he knows his business. He came in, assessed the work areas, instructed his assistant on what he was to do and they got started. They did an outstanding paint job (great "cut in" job). They came with their working materials (ie, drop cloths, paint brushes, rollers), they used our ladder and we did buy the naps for the rollers; but they had everything else they needed. Jay appears to take pride in his work. I would most definitely recommend Trogdon Enterprise for any paint work you may have. Because we were so pleased, we plan on having him come back to do some other work for us in the future. We'll let you know how that goes!
