Jay Trogden was great. He was quick to respond to my request for service and very helpful in my determining the best time to schedule his service. I was needing a complicated electronic faucet installed as soon as my granite countertop was installed, but needed as little time without my sink as possible. He performed this task supremely and installed a few more outlets i'ld been needing badly in my kitchen. He was kind kind enough to owe me a little time on a future project because he was so efficient time wise, I wasn't able to fill all the time I had paid for, even after pulling out a lamp that needed repair. I will use him again as soon as I can get back to my home improvements. I highly recommend Jay Trogden for his knowledge, experience, and reliability. It was an excellent choice to choose Jay Trogden of Trogden Enterprises for the job!

My experience was okay. There was one person here doing the work. Scheduling was just fine.

The gentleman who did the work was very friendly and helpful. He was on time and willing to explain what he was doing and why.

Contractor said he could not construct small deck where we wanted it due to proximity to outdoor electric panel box. However, I found him difficult to deal with from initial phone call. We just did not click. Myabe other people are happy with him, we were not impressed.

We used an Angie's Deal for this service. Six hours of removal for $199. He did a great job. He was on time, had all his supplies and completed the service within the alloted time frame. Actually the job took and extra half hour and he gave is us the option of finishing it up it leaving it for us to finish. He was willling to fix a few minor blemishes in the drywall but had him complete it just the removal and paid just a few dollars extra. I wish we had let him fix the blemishes. We tried to do it ourselves and I know he would have done a better job. He kept the door closd which also kept the odor from permeating the house. He was personalable and great with the dogs. I highly recommend them and will use them again!

Terrible overall- my designer tried to arrange a meet with him at my house for weeks! I finally interceded, had to contact him, then her and get a time set up that the service provider requested- after all that, the service provider did not show up- sent me an email the next day apologizing . At that point, I was done with him- sadly, this was my first experience using an Angie's list provider and it was disappointing to say the least.

Painter very stressed and overwhelmed by the job. Had to have him come back several times to correct things was very responsive. Would not use again.

The painter was very skilled. He was also friendly and punctual. The job took about 7 days. There were some equipment problems with a heavy duty sprayer the painter used to spray paint several doors and these problems caused some delays in completing the job. There was also a major paint spill in one room but this was quickly cleaned up. All in all I was satisfied with the work although the painter spent a good deal of time checking his phone for messages and texting which is why I rated professionalism a B rather than an A. This could have been an anomaly though as he was in the middle of resolving some pressing personal issues. He was very neat in his work.

I did not like them at all. They had one guy come out and I told him ahead of time what I wanted done. He came but he did not have the supplies he needed so we had to take time to go and buy them at the store. He was supposed to work on part of the house and not the entire house. The house looked worse when he was gone because he had knocked some stuff loose so it came down the front of the house. He did not get all the mold off of the driveway. The guy who worked on the door was nice but his work was not. They were unprofessional, unresponsive, sloppy, and the quality of their service was horrible. I had to spend more than I had anticipated because I had to buy a new door and locks.

J and his crew were very professional, did a phenomenal job, and exceeded my expectations. Cleaned up after the job and went beyond what normal contractors would do to complete the job at a high level. I would highly recommend him toa nyone not only because of his high quality of work but his trustwothiness. I was not on-site for the job and he did not raise overcharge for the hours he worked in anyway. If there was an A+++++ on Angie's list, he would have earned it.

This was the second time I used this company. Both times the contractors were knowledgable, professionally friendly and punctual. I wasn't able to utilize the time as well as I could have because the person I was talking to on the call to schedule the work told me I had too much on the plate. That turned out not to be true. I can't do the unfinished work myself, so that was disappointing. I suppose this could be avoided if you just use your best judgment. But I wouldn't write them off, as I said they have been punctual, knowledgable and personable.

I needed someone to replace some locks on doors and replace an arm on a door. The instructions provided that I should purchase the service and send available dates which I did. After that, I was instructed to call. Once I called I was told that the contractor would not go and obtain any necessary parts that I had have all materials ready for an appointment two weeks later. This not exactly a "handy" or convenient way of saving time by hiring someone to fix something. A two week delay for a brief job that I needed sooner than later was also not "handy". I regret spending $88 in advance. Never used the service. The terms should have been disclosed before I was required to pay. My experience with handyman services was that they get what they need and do the repair. I just did it myself it as the time consuming part was getting the correct supplies. I wanted to save time.

He put up some siding. I had to supply one of my people to manage the project.

I responded to an offer of 2hours of handyman service for 88 dollars. The worker was on time, had an agreeable attitude, did a very nice job, cleaned up the work site. I am well pleased, and feel I got a good value

Various jobs around the house...very helpful!

Jay (mgr) made an appointment to meet with us to discuss what we needed and let us know the materials to buy. He arrived on time and we went over the details. On the date arranged for work to begin, it was pouring down rain so work was delayed for 2 days. On the next clear day, James arrived on time and I explained what we would be doing. He started enclosure work which included digging 2 post holes, setting posts in cement and building an enclosure and extending an existing enclosure. We are very happy with this work. Then we moved on to sill repair. James had to locate special exterior sill wood to match our tongue and groove installation. He found the wood and installed it on 2 windows. We are very happy with this work. On other windows, some spot repairs of window frames were needed. In some places, these repairs do not fit as closely as would be desired and it is evident these have been patched. However, they are inside the screen frame, so only visible when screens are removed. We are OK with this work. Trogdon Enterprises worked around the weather to get our exterior work and painting done in December, coming on those days when it was warm enough to paint to complete the work.

Wonderfully! No problems! Had to pay for 1 additional day but that was just fine!

This was my first experience using Angie's List. I contacted three contractors with "A" ratings who work in our area: one was not available for two months (though he did recommend someone else); one was overpriced; Trogdon was just right. The work was completed within just a few days of my initial e-mail. Our worker bee was David, who called before he arrived and was polite and professional. We have several projects planned, and he advised me on what materials to buy for next time. Jay installed our new door yesterday; it looks great. I've already gotten an estimate for my next project.

We requested handyman services and eventually were able to talk to this company's owner. After my contacts with Mr.Trogdon, I left each of the calls feeling discounted; and now I'm sure that we would not have a satisfactory working relationship. While we know that these companies are busy and have many ongoing bookings/projects, Mr. Trogdon's impatience and abruptness leads me to cancel his services and to request a refund.

They sent me an email saying they would be in contact with me for an appointment date. Because I was not in the house the work was going to be performed at, they couldn’t do the work. I really appreciated the quick response by email though and I would use them in the future.

Replaced shower tile improperly installed by another contractor. Excellent quality work. Only gripe is they are so popular you have to schedule them almost 2 weeks in advance.

Bought a Big Deal for a handyman and Darrel arrived promptly and was very pleasant. The first thing he did was install missing insulation in the crawl space under my mudroom and bathroom. He did a great job. He also drilled holes in 15 kitchen cabinets/drawers so I could put in the hardware, as well as install the kitchen sink dish detergent pump and a toilet paper holder in the upstairs bathroom. He also put in my glass storm door insert in my front door. I would definitely recommend Trogdon Enterprises and Darrel, and would use again in the future.

Jay Trogdon, after some schedule juggling, came to my house to view the work to be done. At the time I was in need of exterior painting. However, he did not feel that there would be time in a week to paint my front door and shutters. After further consideration, I decided to use the deal to repaint my basement. While this necessitated a return trip for Jay to review the work needed and to give me important information regarding paint, I do not feel that the combined trips equated to two hours of project management. While I was told what kind and how much paint I needed, I was surprised to find that the Sherwin Williams super paint was over $50 a gallon. Fortunately the assistant manager at Sherwin Williams was willing to sell me the paint at Trogdon Enterprises' cost. Jay came on the first day of five to introduce the painter and give him the information we had discussed which was very helpful. Daniel Dietz was a excellent painter. He also made every effort to clean up the painted area and move furniture back in place. Jay came on day 5 but unfortunately I was not at home, and he has not contacted me since the completion of the services regarding my satisfaction.

Fixed sticking doors. Repaired cracks in bathroom grout. Caulking. Miscellaneous handyman work. We paid for a full day of work, but only needed a half day (our issue, not Trogdon's). |Work was completed in a timely manner. Most was done to my satisfaction, but some was sloppy.
