FIRST RESTORATION

Mike and his work guys did an OK job -- my walls were rebuilt, for sure. And ****, they look good, too! What work was performed was done fairly quickly, and with very high quality. So good moves on that front. There my satisfaction ends. This guy is a total scheister when it comes to billing. Billed for $3,100 worth of work, and about 35 percent of the line items weren't even completed -- cleaning, "anti-microbial spray" (LOL, please), moving my furniture back, etc. There was even a huge bag with about 60 lbs of construction debris left in my front yard -- no offer to come and pick it up, nor to clean up the incredible drywall dust mess made inside (so much for those promises to make your home look like it did before the damage). I ended up spending hundreds on my own cleaning crew to get the job done, and spending about an hour reassembling part of the one piece of furniture that was moved by them (not put back in place). Mike, the owner, refuses to provide a detailed bill and has admitted to not doing some of the work, yet wants to "split" the cost of the work he didn't do. No way, dude -- I'll pay you for the work you've done and file a DCRA complaint instead. Avoid at all costs unless spending hours going back and forth with a dishonest business owner is your idea of a good time. Mike seems to think that because an insurance company has paid a customer to contract out a service, he is entitled to the money even if he doesn't do the work. That isn't the case, of course, but he'll certainly spend an exasperating amount of time trying to make it so.

First Restoration did an excellent job. Very Impressed! Would recommend to others and would hire again!

The work went well each time.  I'm pleased with the work that was done and will continue to work with First Restoration.  I recommend them to my neighbors and friends.  The owner is knowledgeable and trustworthy.  He and his employees are hard working and perfectionists. 

First Restoration was responsive, professional, efficient, and charged me an affordable price each time.  They also gave me good advice and guidance in working with my insurance company (after a flood) and selecting flooring that would last for years.  I've worked with many contractors over the years.  Thankfully, I've found a contractor that I can trust.  I highly recommend First Restoration.

Showed up for an estimate. Told me he would get back to me in 2 days. He did not respond so I called the office. No response. Called the next day and the office worker said I would hear back the next day. No call. Called again. Got an email at the end of the next week. However, it was only 1 part of the work I wanted done. Emailed back. No response. Called the next monday. Told me she would pass on the message. Called the next day and told me they would get back to me eventually. don't waste your time. they clearly overbook and blow off people who get in the way
