I can't believe how fantastic I feel after speaking with Mark in the Virginia Beach office. On Christmas Eve of all days. A quality man who respects his staff. What a concept.
Description of Work: Quote on help post op, and referral for my mom with dementia in Newport News who needs to start getting some help.

 + -1 moreIt went very well. I was very happy to get the help. Now I am better and able to do the things myself, so I have to go back to that. *sigh* It was very nice to have a friendly face a few days to help me get around.
Description of Work: I had total hip replacement and was on restrictions for things like stairs and bending down to the floor. The worker helped me greatly around the house to do some chores I was not able to do due to the restrictions. He came on 3 days, and than I got restrictions lifted.

 + 0 moreHomecare assistance provided excellent full coverage. Tthe providers were there on time and all coverage was coordinated so I did not have to worry about anything. There was an efficient bill pay set up so I did not have to do anything on a weekly basis. Most importantly,the providers went out of their was to make my family member comfortable. Nothing was too much for them. they encouraged her, fixed all meals, cleaned up everything. They took extra time to look up questions my Mom had, to play music for her and whatever she asked. They became friends over time. I would recommend this service to anyone.
Description of Work: My mother came home to an independent living facility after a hospital stay. She was on hospice and bedridden and needed 24 hour care.

 + -1 moreI never heard back from the company. In all fairness, I sent an email, and did get a form letter type response saying that they would contact me during business hours. They never called, and I didn't try to call or email after that initial email. My mother is back on her feet and able to transport herself now, so I don't need the service any more.
Description of Work: I was looking for in home assistance to help my mother after a car accident. I sent an email with my phone number and received an electronic form letter confirmation saying that they would contact me.

Description of Work: We hired Home Care Assistance to allow our 84 year olf mother to stay at home instead of moving her to an assisted living facility. She is very happy with her caregivers, and we have nothing but positive things to say about their professionalism and reliabiliy. Their management team is very flexible and responsive to our needs, and they always keep us updated as to what is going on with mom, which is important becasue we are often not around for her.
