D & B Hauling & Moving

D&B hauling did a great job. I was working on a basement re-finishing project which required me to gut the existing basement. My back patio was filled with all manners of debris (Drywall, wall studs, plywood subfloor etc.). Buzz was able to come out just a day or two after I called him. He and his helper took about 2-3 hours to remove all the junk and even swept up the area. The price he quoted before beginning work was reasonable and his responsiveness and efficiency were exactly what I was looking for.

They did a wonderful job and I would definitely use them again.

Buzz was very pleasant to deal with. He gave me a quote over the phone and did the job the next day. He was totally flexible on timing and kept in contact with me and my friend to coordinate the pick up of the storage unit. Two men and a truck arrived early, accomplished the task in just a few minutes, explained everything I needed to know, showed me a landfill permit. They even offered to take anything else I needed to get rid of. Job well done.

It was excellent service from the start of the process to the conclusion. We used Angie's List to get the information on D&B Hauling, which had been given an excellent service rating. Buzz, the owner of D&B Hauling answered the phone number, explained how he estimates the price -- which on the date of service, he will assess the amount of "junk" to haul off, give you a quote/estimate and if you don't like it - no problem, he leaves. We felt comfortable with this set-up given the great report D&B Hauling had received from Angie's list. We set the time and date. Buzz said he would call 30 minutes before coming to let us know when he was on his way - which he did. Buzz and his crew of 2 men were there right on time. Buzz assessed the job and gave us a fair and reasonable quote. They were very professional, worked efficiently and were very careful not to bang up walls when hauling things out of the 3rd floor attic room.

Buzz responded quickly and provided a cost effective estimate that was accepted. He showed up on time and removed all debris quickly and efficiently. They picked up trash from house and sheds with little supervision. Service was courteous, work was excellent and cost was fair.

We called around 9:45 a.m. this morning and spoke with Buzz to schedule an estimate. Buzz arrived at 11:00 a.m. this morning as scheduled. Buzz worked with our budget and provided us with a very reasonable and honest estimate. He was kind and professional. We agreed to the estimate and Buzz and his employee removed the large amounts of heavy items within 15 minutes. We were impressed by how efficient and physically strong they were. We had absolutely no complaints and being that D & B Hauling Company arrived within the same day of the initial phone call made it very convenient for us. On our next basement renovation, we will certainly contact Buzz From D & B again.

Originally I was checking out the price for other franchise type hauling services and with the amount of stuff I have to be taken away, it would cost me more than $400. I originally found D&B Hauling on an online advertisement board. I contacted D&B Hauling via email on Saturday with the details of all the things I need him to haul and the timeframe. Buzz responded to my email that same night. I needed them to come and haul all these items before Thanksgiving because I am having some new furniture delivered the day before Thanksgiving. He was very flexible and was able to come in right away. Buzz and his two guys were early for the appointment with a big truck. They worked quickly, very careful when they moved things around (no scratch on any of my 3-level townhouse walls). I will definitely use them again. Great service and very reasonable price.

I was stood up by another hauler so called D & B for an urgent job. Buzz was able to come that day, arrived 5 min. early with 2 other men and the job was done quickly and professionally.

Arrived on time, listened to my suggestions regarding how to load for easier unload at destination. Buzz constantly reminded the movers, "Watch that wall, watch that light, did you wrap that?" .....and the movers followed his directions exactly. At the destination, they let me personally inspect their shoes for mud. They covered muddy ground so as not to track anything inside. They put everything exactly where I wanted it to go. They smiled and had a sense of humor. Buzz was down to earth. The price was as quoted, no questions, add-ons, or sighs. I wouldn't have done anything differently. Dos - be clear what the job is. Label and stage what you can, makes it go better for all. Think about how the truck will be unloaded. Suggest loading so that unloading can avoid steps, corners, etc. Sort things by destination room or floor... Clearly mark the destination room. This worked very well. Don't - say "that's alright" whan Buzz tell the movers to re-do or move something, he knows best. Moving boxes are less $1.36 at home depot.

This outfit is great. I emailed them yesterday evening and received an email response by morning. They set up a trash pickup/haul for the same day. It was a fair negotiation over the phone. I highly recommend this company. I will certainly use them again!!

We had cut a number of branches from an ornamental tree and needed to have the debris removed. We sent Buzz an email on a Sunday. He returned the message the next morning, on Monday. I left a message with Buzz yesterday, and he called back within an hour or two. I arranged to meet him today at a time convenient for both of us, with the understanding that he would look at the furniture and give me a price. There would be no charge for his visit if I felt his price was too high. Buzz called me to let me know when he was leaving his last job and he arrived within 15 minutes of our scheduled time, not bad considering he drove from Springfield to Vienna during early rush hour. His price was very reasonable for the size and weight of the furniture. He thought he knew someone who could use one of the items, which made me feel better knowing that maybe something could still be used. Buzz and his helper were polite and professional, and worked quickly and efficiently. A relief to have the garage cleared!

D&B Hauling and Moving listened to me/heard me/ did exactly what they said they'd do and did it courtesly with a most nicely sincere 'we'll get it done the way you want it done' attitude' which i've not seen before with this, my current moving situation. I saw Buzz's ad in Craigslist, but I always double check on Angies List before letting contractors come estimate. So I called D&B Hauling later afternoon yesterday to get a quote for hauling off old deck boards b/c my husband is rebuilding the deck. We set a time for Buzz to come estimate at 10am the next day. On the day of the estimate, Buzz was running 15 minutes late and he gave me a courtesy call to let me know. When he and his crew arrived, we agreed on a the price and they went to work. They were very efficient and completed the job in less than an hour. He was also very nice to my 12 year old Boston Terrier! Overall, he did a great job and his price was RIGHT!! Will use him again if we need more junk hauled.
