I have actually used and quot;Joshand quot; twice before getting to this review. This is my public apology for letting a hectic travel schedule get in the way. Initially, I contacted Josh last fall when I took a leap based upon only one review on Angie's List, and reviewing his website convinced me it was a good risk to take. An email service inquiry was promptly acknowledged and a phone discussion arranged. Josh was very pleasant and clearly explained the possible service issues and costs based upon my non-techie description. He offered pick-up and drop off service, and based cost upon whether he must work in your home or could take the equipment to his office. The latter may save you some cost if you can stand to part with your computer. The first time I was limping an old Windows XP that was overheating but had a lot of business material to be preserved. Josh solved the hardware problems in my home in less than an hour, and generously answered other computer questions I had. The second time was on the eve of MicroSoft ending support for XP. About two weeks before the deadline, McAfee sent out a security update that blew up my XP. I switched to a Vista system I had and the McAfee software promptly blew up the Vista! Josh was, again, quick to respond to my SOS and picked up the laptop as I was on my way out of town. He and quot;de-buggedand quot; the software and dropped it off several days later to await my return. He also recommended a different security provider and, after doing my own research, I was happy to take his advice. In both instances the service cost was accurately defined in advance, the work promptly done, and the result completely successful. Something that sets Josh apart: several days after repair is complete, he makes a follow-up call to be sure you are happy with the work. In an age where customer service seems to be a dying art, this almost knocked me off my desk chair. .
