I hired Felix for several projects, and paid him in full, upfront, since he gave me a good deal. But you get what you pay for. Not only did the projects take *triple* the amount of time he estimated; he also left behind major messes each time; dropped his tools on my hardwood floor, causing gashes; splattered paint all over (which I'm still cleaning up); and caused an alarm to sound throughout my building (for which my condo billed me). And then he walked off the job, leaving me with a bathroom that's half-finished! He said the project was taking too long, and refused to finish. I'm now suing him, and have hired another contractor to finish the project. For what it's worth, the new guy (a specialist, not a general handyman) says Felix did an appalling job.

The man who came was rude, complained a lot, did not fix the set to my satisfaction and charged way too much. I recommend anyone avoid this guy completely. This was a terrible experience.

Worst service experience of my life. Was told worst case price would be $600 and was leaning against doing the repairs due to the age of the TV, but tech was very persistent that I had a "top of the line" TV. I agreed to do it, he had me prepay for labor in addition to the part and told me he'd be back to fix it within 5 days. When I didn't hear after 8 days, I called. He then informed me that the part was no longer manufactured or in stock and got angry when I mentioned if we were unable to get the part, I wanted him to refund the part and consider a partial labor charge refund as it included installation of the unavailable part. He told me to call the vendor, to do a parts search. I was able to do this, but only after many calls and hours on the phone. I also convinced Mitsubishi to give me the part for free because the failure was due to a known design defect that they hadn't notified me about. Mitsubishi would only ship to Hi-Tech, so I asked Mr. Moreno of Hi-Tech to refund the money I had prepaid him for the part I was getting free. A month later, he sent a refund check, but didn't sign it and also didn't include the tax that I had prepaid for the part. When I asked him to sign the check and to refund the tax, he said I was being nit-picky. When he learned Mitsubishi wasn't charging me for the part, he effectively extorted me by saying he wouldn't come to install it unless I paid him $50 more for labor. In a raised voice he told me he was angry with me for asking him to refund a portion of the labor charge, saying that he always made a profit on the part. He demanded $50 more as his "cut," despite my doing everything needed to get the part, contrary to the contract that stated I already prepaid $150 for labor, including installing that part. Since Hi-Tech still owed me over $250 I had prepaid and had physical possession of the part I needed, I was concerned that if I didn't agree he wouldn't install and wouldn't repay me and told him that I would pay the extra charge and he could take it off of what he already owed me. He came out to my house to install the board, but it didn't fix the TV. He said it must be my cables or the cable box, then left. When I asked him to come back to fix it, he told me he had done what I paid for and that it was a new problem. He then said that because of our "relationship" and how I had treated him, he was unwilling to come back. At that point, I opened up the back of the TV & observed that Hi-Tech hadn't even reinstalled all the screws for the replaced board, put cables back into the cable guides and left them resting on the electronic boards. I reseated all the connectors, put the wires into their guides and reinstalled screws. This fixed the TV. I only wish I had checked with Angie's List and the Better Business Bureau before going with Hi-Tech. Mr. Moreno was unprofessional, effectively extorted money from me to finish the job, and was condescending, arrogant and verbally abusive.
