I have used Phoenix Home Services for medium-sized projects each of the last two springs and would not hesitate to call them again – this time, I did not even getting any other estimates or have anyone look at the job and it’s now done and perfect. The first project they did last year, I was totally happy with – a stone retaining wall and step system around my pool. This was fairly complex because it involved regrading a lot of things around the steps and then also the prior retaining was had involved two levels and we were going to a single one, so there was fairly extensive removal and filling of dirt and leveling before building could begin. There were 3-4 guys there every day weather permitted and they got it done quickly, but more importantly very well. It seems like it will last a lifetime and we get compliments on it constantly (especially from our realtor, who knows how much work this entailed since she'd seen the "before"). There was a minor maintenance issue with some of the capping that was not a result of human error, but they still fixed it this spring no questions asked, so the 2 year warranty is a real thing and is honored (I was expecting to pay for what they did but I did not complain when they said not to). They finished the second job this past week, which was a stone walkway up to the front of my house and continuing around to the side - everyone who has seen it is blown away. In addition to the walkway, it also included putting in a few steps on the side and then rebuilding/elongating the existing front stoop and putting in a planter bed adjacent to it. One thing that really set the execution here apart was the software they use in design. We saw every single thing and understood and could tweak things extensively before work began to get it just right – after all, this is the front of the house so I was probably a little pickier than I might be otherwise. Plus, the house has a small stone façade, so the stone selected had to match that. We could see all of this in Clint’s design and he also took time to go through pictures with me and my wife so they could understand both the stone and design elements we were going for (the exact kind of stone that has a slightly washed look but also had colors to match what we already had, a slight elevation to the walkway and higher than normal amount of concrete poured). I have to admit, our expectations here were pretty exacting, but they were patient with us and the end result is even better than we could have expected. You cannot go wrong with this company – twice now, we have been very happy with Clint (design), Brian (managed the project) and Rembert and his team (masons). And would not hesitate to call them again for anything needed at my home.

Clint Asmar and his team were simply outstanding. This is the second project I used Phoenix and they did not disappoint. I had three estimates for a major deck build and Clint came in lower. The quality of materials and workmanship were top notch. The deck is beautiful. Throughout the process Clint was able to adjust to minor changes in design. Also part of the work included repairs to brick front steps. Looks like new -- incredibly talented masons. Highly recommend Phoenix and Clint to anyone, and I would definitely use them again!

Clint handled the initial planning and permitting, with the construction starting on schedule. The timing was impacted as the project was scheduled in February which included both rain and snow, but any delays were totally acceptable. Project time, including demolition and construction, totaled 2 weeks. The enhanced Fairfax building codes for our elevated deck required additional footings and bracing, but the response was professional within the bid price. Luis as the lead carpenter erected a high quality deck of excellent construction.

Phoenix is a company who truly stands by their work. In 2014 my wife and I decided to install a stone walkway around the side of our house. I met with several companies before selecting Phoenix Home Services and I was not disappointed. Clint was very professional, easy to talk to and provided us with a very competitive estimate. Once we selected Phoenix, Clint made a number of excellent suggestions regarding design and materials. In fact, we liked his recommendations so much that we decided to re-do our front walkway as well. After both walkways were completed, we were extremely pleased with the results. All of the work was done on time and with exceptional workmanship. Fast forward almost four years when I notice a crack in the foundation which also caused one of the stones to come loose. I sent Clint an email asking how best to proceed and he called me back within minutes. He let me know that a mason would stop by my house that afternoon to make the necessary repairs. Needless to say, I was very impressed with that level of customer service. The repairs look flawless and I will most certainly use Phoenix Home Services for all of my future home remodeling and renovation projects.

After I decided to close in my 2 1/2 car carport I went about interviewing contractors. I've heard you should interview at least two, preferably three, but it took me seven before I settled on Phoenix! I didn't feel comfortable with anyone I spoke with so I kept going until Clint from Phoenix came out. We clicked instantly and within days I had a beautiful design. We also talked about a new roof, portico over the front door, and new driveway and walkway. Clint, so smart, was honest with me when I told him my budget. It wasn't going to allow me to do everything so he said, "you need a roof and garage, you don't need anything else right now." That was in 12/2016. My roof was put on in early 2017 and my beautiful garage was just completed a couple weeks ago no thanks to Fairfax County! It took almost a year to get the permits because the county didn't like other aspects of my property; the height of my shed, how close it was to the fence line, and the distance from my EXISTING carport to the fence line. Clint and Steve kept on the county and even came out and took over 200 photos of my property to submit for the "special permit" after the county turned down the original permit. They made numerous visits to the county and kept me posted on the progress over the next many months and never charged me for the cost of the "special permit" which was at least a few thousand dollars. Once the project began, so did the fun! I loved working with Rob and his crew and Clint and Steve came out regularly to check on the progress as Clint promised me he would. I changed the design adding a couple windows that Clint didn't charge me for, and as the garage progressed, I decided to add a new front door and Clint was a big help in that. I couldn't be happier. Phoenix still has the design for the portico and the walkway and as soon as possible, I'll contact them to finish everything.

Phoenix Home Services was excellent!! From the first phone call, to scheduling an estimate, to reviewing and modifying the contract and then executing the contract to all the specifications. We thought the estimate was a little high, but in today's world, you get what you pay for! Phoenix delivered on high quality work! Clint was fantastic and worked with us to meet our price range. He was very responsive to our questions and advised us accordingly based on the dream flagstone patio we have always wanted. The job started and ended ON TIME and the masonry team did fantastic work. We love our patio! The company did such a great job, that we contracted with them to do another job.

Phoenix Home Services has renewed our faith in contractors! We needed two bathrooms renovated and decided to get an estimate from Phoenix. The estimate was very reasonable and we decided to 'go for it', right around the holidays! We were told that the job, for TWO bathrooms could be completed in approximately 2 weeks, and ready right before the Christmas Holiday. Several family members were also coming into town, so we really needed those bathrooms ready. We had successfully worked with Phoenix Home Services on a previous job, so we decided to take the risk! Phoenix delivered on the job (both bathrooms) and exceeded our expectations! They started and ended on time. Clint and Steve were excellent and made sure their teams had all the materials to get the job done. Their communication styles were professional, friendly, open and they were accessible 7 days a week! The job included glazing a tub, installing new tile (floor and shower), significant rework of plumbing, working in tight spaces and installing new vanities. Ray and George were very talented! This company is really amazing and dedicated to their work. Both bathrooms turned out gorgeous. Thank you Phoenix!

Clint has done a great job designing the plans and explaining every step of the process to us. Steve and the team on-site are incredibly professional, friendly and most importantly, fast. I can't imagine doing any home improvement project without them. We've already got a long list of future projects for which we'll be sure to call on Phoenix!

Phoenix just completed a screened in porch and patio project for us, and the project turned out beautifully. The workers are true craftsman who take pride in their work and don't skimp on the small but important details. We are very happy with the quality of the project. Our designer and project manager, Clint, was great at keeping in touch throughout the project on the timeline and what would be happening when, and he accommodated last minute requests to suit our needs.

Phoenix was recommended to me by a co-worker. I needed a new driveway and front walkway. Clint came out, discussed options and had a plan and quote to me w/in 3-days. They were very accommodating about working w/a hectic schedule. Once the install day came the crew arrived and went right to work. Very professional, efficient and clean. I had my new driveway and walkway w/in 3 days and what a difference to the curb appeal to my home - beautiful!! My neighbors watched with a scrutinizing eye and are now ready to use Phoenix as well!! Highly recommend them and will be using them again myself.

The Phoenix team were on the job start to finish. The two owners Clint and Steve are a great team. Clint had awesome designs and really helped us to envision what we could do with the space. Steve made the design vision become reality via his hands on expertise and project delivery skills. We love the new space, especially the bathroom and three custom barn doors built onsite.

This was my first large home contracting job in my lifetime. After putting out an ad on Craigslist as well as my actively soliciting several bids from all over the place, Phoenix Home Services stood out in three ways: 1) It was by far the most professional - very detailed, proposal going on for pages line by line, leaving nothing to the imagination. It even included awesome 3D color CAD drawings, which frankly sealed the deal for me. 2) It was by far the most expensive. However, I've learned something living here in Northern Virginia - there is no "middle ground" when it comes to contractors. Either you get a bunch of random dudes with no licenses and no insurance winging it, or you get someone who's awesome. Phoenix Home Services is in the latter bucket. Also, several of the top contractors won't even consider you unless the job is minimum xxx dollars, so good luck getting a lot of contractors to even respond to you. 3) They responded the fastest and they followed up frequently. From start to finish, the guys really busted their butts on the worksite. The only frustration for me in the project was communication. Sometimes the team wouldn't show up for several days and I wasn't told why. Other times I was told a payment was due immediately, when I had specifically requested a two-days heads up before any payment. Fortunately, you can text Clint directly and he's generally quite responsive. Not the end of the world, but I'm a demanding guy on myself and everyone else. In the end, the project came out beautifully. The best part? After the project was done, I walked my property and nitpicked a bunch of little things that annoyed me. Two days later, I came home from a work trip and noticed that every single little thing had been corrected to my satisfaction. The Phoenix gang really does get everything done. And it really is satisfying to have things done right - the foundation under that patio will clearly never let a single weed come thru. In the words of my neighbor, who watched the whole thing, "you couldn't drive a tank through your front retaining wall." Only thing that remains to be seen is the honoring of the unusually long 2-year warranty, should any issues arise. But I'm not worried about that. In conclusion: awesome work but very expensive.

It went great! Clint Asmar got back to me when I asked for a quote. I compared his to another company that was asking for $8k while Clint bid $7.5k. On top of it, Clint worked with me to incorporate 3 small retaining walls and included the digging and installation of a french drain to keep water away from the foundation of the house. Clint also provided 2 different 3D modeled illustrations to show the "after" look, which was really helpful for clear communication. I loved it.

During the process to get quotes from multiple contractors we had Phoenix come and take a look to quote out the work. Their quote was slightly more than competitors, but you could tell immediately the experience and quality was better. Without even asking we were provided a detailed quote (to include a material list), as well as a design so we could picture how the changes would impact the look of our home and also how we could best utilize the space before committing to a large investment. Included in the contract was also the terms of payments and they were tied to milestones as progress was made. Phoenix was able to provide all of the necessary information for our HOA approval, this was a one-time transaction rather than asking for each item individually a comprehensive list of documents was provided for submission. Phoenix also handled all of the permitting and inspections by the county. The only thing requested by them was a copy of the plat. As construction began we started thinking of small tweaks to the work to include additional lights, ceiling fans, and electrical. There was also a small set of steps leading out of our garage to our backyard we had replaced. These were all executed under an addendum, and the process to draw them up and make the changes as we went was smooth (to include payment structure). The teams that came out were excellent and professional. They were very meticulous, methodical, and hard working. I've dealt with other contractors who come and go as other projects take priority, but with this project I felt like we were the priority. To construct everything, get it inspected, and finished was about 2.5 weeks from demo to final payment. This included a holiday and a few rain days. The end product is amazing and it's a new space that we use all of the time. I would recommend Phoenix for jobs similar to this and definitely take them into considerations for other major projects in our home in the future.

He responded immediately and we scheduled a date to go over the renovations I wanted. He understood what look I was trying to achieve, he was always on time for our appointments. The teams he hired were professional, very polite, and great to work with. I especially liked Dan Gardner, who was the head of the renovation team assigned to my project. At the end of the renovation,the house looked amazing, it was so beautiful, it looked like new construction. We have other projects in mind, I wouldn't hesitate to use Phoenix Home services again.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Phoenix Home Services (PHS). I first hired the company in 2014 to install under decking and build a travertine patio. Clint Asmar was my first contact with the company. Mr. Asmar is a true subject matter expert in the construction field. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and patient throughout the entire process. He listened to the changes I wanted to make and offered suggestions based on his years of experience. The patio project was a huge success and resulted in a beautiful backyard living area that is enjoyed year round---rain or shine. In July, when I needed to replace my deck, my first call was to PHS. Mr. Asmar again responded in a timely manner and provided a fair estimate. It was no surprise that, given his years of hard work and dedication to the company and his clients, Mr. Asmar is now part-owner of PHS. Despite his incredibly busy schedule, Mr. Asmar was always accessible during every phase of my deck project. Customer satisfaction is his #1 priority. He is all about making the customer happy. He goes above and beyond to ensure that every last detail is perfect. There is no question that Mr. Asmar is highly accomplished in his field. He is also conscientious, diligent, reliable and trustworthy. He is the consummate professional. It was a pleasure to work with him on both of my projects. Mr. Asmar takes great pride in his work and delivers an unsurpassed level of customer service. It’s important to note that when Mr. Asmar came to my home to look at my deck project, he noticed that there was a crack in two of the travertine stones that was clearly caused by ground settlement. He promised to send one of his masons out to fill the crack. If that didn’t work, he offered to replace the stones. This is another great example that speaks volumes about his commitment to provide quality workmanship and ensure customer satisfaction. The construction crew for my deck project (Luis, Santiago, and Juan Pablo) was outstanding. They were polite, talented, very hard working, and arrived on time every day. They worked diligently during one of the hottest weeks of the summer and successfully completed the entire project in just 3 days. A sincere "THANK YOU!!!" to Mr. Asmar and PHS. My outdoor living space looks absolutely gorgeous!!! PHS represents the very best in workmanship and customer service! I highly recommend PHS and will use them for future projects.

Work was done quickly and very well. Phoenix used screws on all boards that were replaced and added screws to existing railing. The job was exactly as promised at a good price. I will use again.

This is the second time we have used the company and in both instances we have been completely satisfied. The quality of work is exceptional and all the people we interacted with were a pleasure to deal with, from the estimators to the installers.

Phoenix Home Services is absolutely fantastic. I was in need of tearing out my existing concrete walkway/stoop and replacing with flagstone. I spoke with Clint in my initial conversation and told him I was in a major time crunch to get this done. Clint really stepped up and committed his crew to our project and they got the job done earlier than promised. We are absolutely thrilled with how beautiful the finished product looks. Clint and his team are first rate and very professional in all facets. I highly recommend them for quality home projects.

The construction team was very capable, professional and quick! We were quoted two weeks for completion of our project, but it was finished in less than one week. The crew cleaned up the yard and left us with a beautiful new deck. Clint was very responsive to our questions and concerns and helping to get the proposal through our HOA.
