I have been purchasing personal computer and electronic devices from Micro Center for approximately five years. Its prices are competitive. Based on my experience, Micro Center's service is far superior to other chain office supply or electronic stores. It is fairly easy to find an associate if you need help navigating store or checking inventory. Provided that the device is under warranty, Micro Center has a good return policy where it issues a store credit for the purchase price for the defective device. When I have had to service a device which is out of warranty, Micro Center is on par as far as cost and service with other chains.

For many years, I have been a customer of Micro Center, and while some of the retail salespeople may seem clinging, they are readily available for questions and assistance, unlike many other stores. The repair center staff, on the other hand, is very customer focused and can spend considerable time diagnosing problems, recommending solutions, and achieving desired results. I bought the laptop fully expecting to keep it.  However, I had 15 days in which to decide during which I could return it for a full refund.  After about 10 days, I felt that the laptop was just not what I wanted.  I found the keyboard and I could not get along and I thought it was not going to work out.  So, I returned to MicroCenter to return the item.  This is where I think Micro Center is outstanding.  They checked over the laptop to make sure I was returning it in good and credited my charge account for a complete refund.  No hassle.

They are helpful and they'll give you their suggestions. They are knowledgeable and helpful. We lost our data and went in there. They tried to retrieve the lost data, but they were not able to retrieve any. Then they sent it out to another place in Colorado and that was going to be $499, but that was refunded because they couldn't do it.

Micro Center tech answered all my questions at the front end, resulting in a clear path for their trouble-shooting and solution objectives.  The tech performing the work called me two days after I dropped off my computer to confirm symptoms and worked desired.  Several hours later I received another call that my job was complete.  All fast, easy, professional.

Prices and selection are very good overall, less so for Apple products.  Micro Center is solid for the PC world.  
Service is usually very good, save for a couple sales reps that weren't interested or didn't know Apple products to the ability to make appropriate recommendations.  The issue is only occasional, however.  Most of the time, the sales staff is very good.  
When less than optimal service was mentioned to a seasoned sales associate, he took note and said he'd work on the professionalism of the less-seasoned sales rep.  
Yes, I'm glad to use them in the future.

It's a big company.  They were excellent.  They are rated very well in consumer reports.  They listened to what I wanted.  They do have a big service area and they expedite as best they can.  They are busy. They listened to me.  I wanted seven and not eight.  I had one picked out but there was one going on sale today and they gave me that price.  You get office and then you have to get your security thing and they gave me discounts on that.  They have a lot of sales and if you buy from them they give you a bundle, you can get like $50 or $100 off from extra things that you need.  The guys work on commission.

I went to Micro Center to purchase computer products when I got to the register and they had rung everything up the cashier showed me the subtotal on the computer register then told me I owed more money when I paid the extra money the receipt total did not have the subtotal the cashier showed me on it.
Before leaving the store, the manager asked me to do a survey, after I did the survey and before I could get out the door the manager told my salesman to install the security system on my new computer I just bought. After that finished I said to my salesman now all I have to do is install Office, no sooner had I said that than my salesman reached into my bag, pulled out Microsoft Office 2013 I had just paid for, ripped open the package and was installing it on my computer. When he got
to the security questions he asked me for a name for my Office 2013 software, I told him I did not come prepared to do that and he wanted to know the name of my cat and then wanted a password for the computer. I told the salesman I had the passwords at home typed up and did not know I needed that information here. He kept pressuring me and when I refused to give him a password he said I will put in blank and he put in his own password. When the computer asked to select the security question he pressured me for the information, when the computer asked for the answer he pressured me for an answer and when the computer asked if this was me he told the computer yes.  I soon realized I was totally unable to use the security software and
Microsoft 2013 because it put me at risk for identity theft and this was an unwanted intrusion on my privacy.
The returns ? A few days later I went to return some of the products and the return cashier pulled me up on the computer and said you will get a full refund, then asked me why I was returning the products when I started to tell him what was wrong he said I will get the tech manager. While the tech manager was talking to me about the product and distracting me from the cashier the cashier handed me the money folded and did not count it back to me and I put it in my purse without thinking what
was happening. After leaving I realized I did not get a full refund.
When I went to return the rest of the products for a total refund it took four men to go into the back room to figure out how much to give me back, this took over an hour and since I paid cash for everything they had to give me cash back. I got all but $250.00 back, I guess that is what I got scammed with at the register when I checked out. In my opinion these people are nothing more than slick sharks.

He knew all the different models in my price rqnge.  showed several higher prices models but agreed they did not meet my needs. Although the store was busy he did not try to hurry me along to make the sale.   I felt he was genuinely interested in getting me the right machine.

I would say they are an overall B. I would not recommend for removing viruses. They are good with hardware and software issue though. They do have good techs who know what they are doing overall.

They are delightful place to shop as they are all very knowledgeable. Everybody there knows their stuff there. They send a pamphlet with all their new products and service. They give good service. They are quick, knowledgeable, and communicate well. If you call them they give you a number and they call you back the next day with a solution. They turn around time is very quick and they are reasonable. The backup they do is also very nice. The store is friendly and they have all the electronic stuff and components you need. They are competitive and he has a lot of selling stuff. Have been using them for about 12 years now.

We did a lot of homework regarding the computer we wanted. We found a good price at Micro Center. They also have a reasonable return policy, just in case. We spoke with a few employees at different visits, but chose to work with Kuldeep (sp), who seemed very knowledgeable. He was friendly, personable, and not too pushy (with no creepiness which I often come across). The printer we purchased was basically free because of a rebate. They offer many rebate programs that you can view on a computer there at the store. The warranty services they offer are clearly spelled out, with all of the prices and options stated. Microcenter is a large facility that is dedicated to all things computers. Many of the computer techies I know love this store. Note to all you singles: this place is about 99% men - employees and customers... Oh, and there are lots of computers and all other necessary components here, too.

I got a quick diagnosis (some solder connecting the hard drive had broken/come loose) that was professional tendered both over the telephone and in writing, and I elected to have the repair work done after thinking it over a bit. My laptop has been working just fine ever since.

I was looking for a new laptop and the salesman walked away from me because he didn't like dealing with women. A new salesman came and helped me and I ended up buying a laptop from there. I have always had very good luck with them
