I called up and spoke to a supervisor thinking I was speaking with the store supervisor which is what I was told. I actually spoke with the floor tile supervisor who was very responsive. He heard my concerns about the measurement fee and waived it.

They charge the same amount padding as they do for the amount of carpet. When they install your carpet, they give you the leftover carpet but do not give you the leftover padding. They're cheating their customers because they don't provide you with leftover padding. The service, installers and quality of the carpet was fine. It was the overall policy I don't agree with. This review is based on the policy, not the staff.

We were trying to keep the cost down so we chose them for price. It was good. We were happy with it. We had some serious trouble with getting the door and getting the thing scheduled. Once they got it in, it was good, but that aspect was a problem.

It took the contractor just 3 days to remove old items and install new cabinets, add new floor, lights, and remove posts from room divider. Then we had to contact the countertop company to come measure. Home Depot erred in the countertop measurements and we were billed for an extra $1000 above what we already paid for the quartz (Silestone) counters. It took 3 weeks between having the kitchen ready for measurement and when they installed the new counters. We are very pleased with the work done by the contractor, Pin Oak, and Counter Intelligence. The actual time from start to finish of all this work was 31 days and we were able to use our refrigerator, microwave, and stove for all but 4 days. Our biggest problem with this project was getting in touch with the Home Depot salesman who oversaw the project. He works odd hours and off various days that reaching him was a hassle and setting up appointments to discuss what we wanted difficult. We started shopping for cabinets in May and the orders were placed in June with installation beginning in mid July.

They subcontracted a separate company to do the work. We bought everything through Home Depot. The kitchen designer that we worked with at Home Depot we felt did not have a lot of experience. She wanted to be helpful but she did not have a lot of experience.

We bought the refrigerator last September and I think the microwave was two months after that. The stove was longer than that, it was in 2006. We worked with the same person when we went in to get the stuff. She was very good her name is Sheryl. They delivered when they said they were going to deliver and everything else. Everything was fine, it was very good. The service is good.

I use their expertise in terms of picking things out as well as getting good quality, fairly priced stuff for do-it-yourself projects on my home. There are quite a few stores around my area so they are easy to find. They have pretty much the same stuff in all the stores so I don't have to look around and they usually have what I am looking for. They are there and are always willing to help; they are always open when I go.

Purchased online - was able to schedule installation. Time to install was fairly quick and the price was good. We had considered purchasing elsewhere but the ability to include installation was a bonus for Home Depot. The installers showed up on time - they apparently had one issue with new microwave fitting. Apparently they were able to overcome this obstacle. Microwave works well.
We'll use Home Depot again when installing new appliances. For major changes to the house, will probably look for specific contractors as we like getting to meet the person doing the work.

They are easy and conveniently located. Their prices are competitive.

Home Depot is working with JeldWen to sell and install interior doors. I replaced interior doors and bifold closet doors. The JeldWen people, the installers, and the Home Depot people were nice. I did, however, have trouble getting Home Depot and JeldWen to return calls. The JeldWen rep brought a measuring machine out to measure the doorways to ensure a good fit for each door. I'm not sure how well that works. At least one door is being replaced because of bad measurement. Another one or two may be replaced because of poor measurement. If the doors had no panels, there would be no problem. However, I ordered two-panel doors, and some of the panels do not look plumb. I understand that houses/door frames are not built exactly perfect, but I thought that the purpose of the measuring machine was to get the doors perfect to fit the doorframe space. I had ordered painted doors. When the doors were installed, I wondered if they were really painted and put in a call to both JeldWen and Home Depot to ask the question. After calling several times, I did get Home Depot on the phone to talk to me about the question. The JeldWen sales rep didn't call me, but someone from JeldWen called me after 3 days. It turns out that the doors were painted -- only not too well. I will need to do a lot of touchup work on all 21 of the doors. The doors came covered all over with a fine dust that I will need to wash off of all of the doors. Home Depot hired installers. The installers were not neat. The initial install took 8 hours. The installers tracked in dirt and left install debris all over the floors. Dirty handprints were left all over the doors. My freshly painted hallway and foyer were banged up, and I will need to do touchup painting on those. Home Depot wants to blame either JeldWen or the installers for all of the problems, but I believe that Home Depot is the responsible party. I don't go to China when I have problems with a dress or an appliance that I have bought. I love the doors, but I would have enjoyed a better experience! Why is it that these days we pay a lot of money for something and feel that we get a lot less than we pay for!??! I am hoping that the door replacements, striker plate replacements/installs, and the rest of the corrections go well.

Conformation of appoints is hard to receive due to the design center having to retrieve messages directly from home depot. As a result we were left out in the cold.

Fair, the design took a long time and I had to go back 3 extra times to order more items that were forgotten by the designer, like crown molding, toe kicks, scribe.

DELIVERED NEW DISHWASHER. INSPECETED OLD DISHWASHER, HOOKUP ETC. WITHIN TWO MINUTES ANNOUNCED THAT THEY COULD NOT/WOULD NOT INSTALL THE NEW DISHWASHER AS THEY WOULD NEED TO DO "PLUMBING: WORK; INSTALL A NEW SHUT-OFF VALVE IN ORDER TO USE THEIR "QUICK CONNECT" HOSE. THERE WAS NO MENTION AT THE PURCHASE REGARDING SPECIFIC NEEDS TO ALLOW WHAT WAS ESSENTIALLY A DELIVERY COMPANY TO "HOOKUP" THE NEW DISHWASHER. LEFT NEW DISHWASHER. I HAD TO GET A PLUMBER TO DISCONNECT THE OLD DISHWASHER AND INSTALL SHUTOFF VALVE. THEN I INSTALLED THE NEW UNIT MYSELF.

THEY'RE OK. THEY DID GOOD WORK. THEY PROVIDED A GOOD SERVICE, CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES AND DID NOT LEAVE ME A MESS TO CLEAN UP. I WAS HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK.

I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH EVERYTHING. THEY PLACED THE BOARDS TOO CLOSE TOGETHER AND IT CAN'T DRAIN. I'VE BEEN TRYING FOR TWO WEEKS TO GET SOMEONE TO COME OUT AND LOOK AT IT WITH NO RESULT.

THE WHOLE PROCESS WAS EASY AND PUNCTUAL. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT THE CARPET DOESN'T SEEM TO LAY STRAIGHT. LOOKS LIKE IT HAS WRINKLES BUT SINCE IT'S BASICALLY JUST WHERE OUR DOGS LIVE, WE NEVER CONTACTED THE COMPANY TO FIX IT.
