We chose Piedmont because at the time of hire, they weren't the "rotating door of employees" like other companies we interviewed. Kelley received glowing references, so we felt confident who we were giving out key to and the quality we would be receiving. Those first few cleanings were excellent! The house always smelled clean and you could tell that there was an exceptional attention to detail. Then something changed...our regular cleaning person left (Kelley) and other employees started to clean our house, but nowhere near the level of detail that we expected. Three different people cleaned our house and I know the company is new, so we understood that there may be growing pains, and the hiring of new people. However, we would only find out after the fact that other employees were cleaning our house. It would have been a nice courtesy to receive a call letting us know that a new person would be coming in place of who had been there before. Kelley set our expectations pretty high so while we weren't thrilled with the level of cleaning were now getting, we were ok with it. (I?d say it dropped from an ?A? to a ?C+?.) You didn't get that "ahhhhh" feeling when you came home from work. We tried again for a few months, but ultimately, why we fired Piedmont was that the last few times they came out, it appeared to us that the house was just getting a superficial "wipe down". Not consistently, but annoyingly so (a bathroom floor was not mopped, there was dust on the countertops, etc.). We brought this to the office's attention via phone and were set at ease that everything would get taken care of, but instead of the cleaning improving, we got inconsistency. For example, one time we complained about the streaky fridge. The next time they came out the fridge would look great, but the bathroom floor would not have been done. Complain about the floor and then next time they didn't clean something else. I was getting tired of getting streaky appliances and the ever-present un-mopped bathroom floor. The last straw was after the last session and the tub hadn't even been cleaned. That?s why I gave them a ?D? for quality. I was hiring them to clean so I didn't have to?or remind them to. I'm sorry that it didn't work out, because everyone we've talked and worked with was very friendly, but ultimately, it just got to be too expensive for the quality that we were receiving.
