My wife and I have owned three houses during the past forty years. Consequently, we've dealt with many contractors/workmen/work crews. We have NEVER dealt with work crews this GOOD! Art & Tom Dunn own NOVA. Art came out on a Sunday for the initial meeting. He arrived exactly on time. He took notes and initial measurements on all the windows and doors. He asked a lot of questions to make certain he understood what we wanted and made suggestions as we walked the house. He said he'd have a proposal to us in 48 hours and he made good on that promise with a proposal via email. A week later, we accepted his proposal and he came over again to take final measurements and write up the contract. Our windows arrived within about three weeks. We were having a new roof put on and had some weather delays so Art insisted on moving the install back a few days because he wanted the roof to go on first. Our install was scheduled to start at 8AM on a Tuesday. At 8:02 AM, Art pulled up. At 8:05, Jeremy and Eric, the window installers arrived and by 8:15 Rick & Andrew, the door installers, arrived with all the product on a truck. All five pitched in, got the truck unloaded, put ladders up and started tear-out of our old windows and doors. While the window work took three days, the doors went in on the first day. All four men, Jeremy, Eric, Rick and Andrew were really craftsmen. They did meticulous work. All four pitched in to help each other. I was very impressed with their level of respect for our home and property. Quiet, efficient, no cursing, very careful in and around the house, their cleanup each night left the premises spotless. They did a lot tin-snipping when they did the vinyl wrapping on the windows and I have not found even one little piece of tin outside. In conclusion, The Dunn Brothers delivered quality products and quality workmanship at a very fair price. I have nothing but praise for NOVA Installations. Contracting with NOVA Installations and dealing with the Brothers Dunn, the four workmen and the front office staff proved to be a wonderful experience. Update June 3rd 2012 - six weeks since window install and two windows have seal leaks with condensation inside. BF Rich windows.

I contacted the company to obtain a quote and Terry, the production manager came out within two days and gave me a written estimate. The estimate was significantly less expensive than another company I contacted. The work was scheduled and completed within two weeks of receiving the estimate. I will definitely use this company again.

To start off our home looks FABULOUS!!! We couldn't be happier with the finished product! The salesman sold us on the owner's and how they could do anything. We are "educated" customers and research everything. We knew we wanted Hardee siding and when the salesman said they use OSB under the siding instead of plywood, we researched OSB. The #1 don't for OSB is to get it wet, which we made sure to put in the contract. The first day on the job taking off our old siding and putting up the OSB we had a rain storm. The owner's came out and without question replaced the wet with dry OSB. As with all construction jobs there are ups and downs and this was no exception. The biggest issues came with the management of the sub-contractor's, but Tom (owner) would come through eventually and get whatever our concern was corrected. The reason I have rated their responsiveness so low is because when we inquired as to having a shed built with the matching Hardee board, the salesman assured us that, of course, Tom could do it, he can do anything and would do it for $1,500.00. The price was a great price, but given they were on-site and doing other framing/siding/roofing it seemed right. The shed was never started, and we were told they would get to it when they finished the main project. The salesman and Tom came out 4 times between the two of them to take measurements and ask about how we wanted the shed to look. Sometimes we would get a date to build it, other times an approx. day. They never came back and stopped answering our calls. This was in the fall and we have had the leftover Hardee siding in our driveway ever since. We would have understood if they had just said, look we can't do it for that price, or we don't have the time for such a small job, but we got nothing from them. There are still a few other odds and ends that weren't fixed like tiles in the master bath that fell off during pulling the old siding, and trim work that was damaged while working on the front porch, but these aren't of great concern to us. The moral of this story is that this is a good company, but do your homework. Make sure to put the smallest details in the contract, and be home for as much of the project as you can.

We were very, very pleased with Nova and recommend this company highly. Art Dunn and his carpenter worked closely with my other contractor, Borslaya Home Improvements, to coordinate our project, which involved removing our tiny old windows, building a header, reframing the wall, and installing three large casement windows. Their work on the windows was careful, well-planned, and efficient, and the end result is beautiful. Art and his carpenter made some sensible suggestions regarding my original plans, and were able to easily deal with a couple minor construction issues, such as an inconveniently-placed vent. Their trim work was carefully executed and looks better than our original 1972 carpentry. Nova also replaced our siding, which looks great. I was very impressed with Art's attention to detail. He provided an initial estimate, but stopped by a second time when he made some suggestions and brought up some solutions to house issues that none of my other estimators mentioned. Nova's prices were on the lower end of our estimates, and they didn't jack up the cost when including house wrap and trim work, as other companies did. They also made some suggestions--running the siding right up to the j-channel next to our sliding glass door rather than adding more trim--that had the potential to save us money. I recommended Nova to a friend who also needed window and siding work, and she was equally pleased. Working with Nova was a pleasure from beginning to end.

Scheduling a day and time for a home visit for Nova to measure and discuss options was very easy and the visit was pleasant. I picked a high end door and was told about less expensive options that might meet my needs. The installers took their time to make sure the door was properly and well installed, we're nice to my inquisitive dog, and cleaned up after themselves wonderfully.

Tom Dunn and NOVA were extremely efficient, professional, and they offer a beautiful finished product. I highly recommend this company and plan to go back to them if I need additional work. We went to their showroom to see comparative vendor products and NOVA was able to help us make a decision on the best product for our needs. They also offered us a discount, and the price was lower than prices from other contractors.

His prices are low and he is pretty good. My daughter used him for her house too.

I got them off Angie’s list. They were excellent. They provided excellent workmanship. They were very timely and courteous. They were very neat and clean. They were very competitively priced.

Due to the door size, it cost a little more and required specific measurement. The installer did an excellent job. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

They were timely, they cleaned up after themselves and did the work. I have no complaints about them.

It’s really a disappointment. Maybe I would call them back for the windows. In terms of professionalism, they just did not bother with me, that’s the thing, they just did not bother with me. There was no explanation given. I would have preferred them to call back and say, call us with windows; we really don’t want to do your roof and other work too. Therefore, I’m going to be looking for competitive bids when I get to do the rest of my windows because of the way they treated me. I’m biding by Angie’s List.

The contractors and estimators all showed up as promised. The crew showed up and worked exceptionally hard. The contractors cleaned up the debris from removal and installation - leaving no trace of the effort.

It was a terrific experience with both jobs and I highly highly recommend them. Extremely professional from sales thru technicians, office, etc. They accommodated my work schedule as best they could and I was highly impressed with everyone in this company.

I went with them for their price. Their service was good and they showed up on time. They did it all in one day and cleaned up after themselves nicely. They did a good job. The workers were not overly friendly, but they were knowledgeable and courteous.

They did a great job on our house and we were very pleased with them. They are very professional.

Excellent service, very laid-back, no hard sale. Only criticism would regard folow-up work if needed. A little slow in getting back to correct problems, but not to the extent that it became problematic.

They were wonderful. John came out to provide an estimate. He was very low pressure. They were responsive to questions and educated on products. They appeared very interested in my satisfaction. The sales representative was very easy to talk to. He also followed up. Though I didn't ultimately buy the windows from Nova Installations (I rec'd an unbelievable price elsewhere), John understood and conveyed that he wanted me to do what's in my best interest. In the near future, I will need my roof replaced and I will be making a beeline to Nova Installations when that time comes. Simply put, I trust them.

I had been in contact with the company for 2 months prior to actual installation for selection and purchase of these doors. They were a very good company with which to work. The salesman was good-- he came to my home a few times to work with me. Installation went well. I'm overall satisfied with the doors. These doors qualify for the $1500 energy tax credit which was expiring on Dec. 31. They bent over backwards to get these doors installed for me, so that I could get the tax credit. I may also purchase windows from them, as well.

The doors that we picked were heavy duty metal doors as opposed to wood. It cost me more because of the nature of the doors. I looked them up and on Angie's list but there was one review that I agreed with in particular and that's the fact that they do good work but getting them through the house and responsiveness after the job is completed is almost nightmarish to me. They are very difficult to get in touch with and the young lady that works at their office almost seems moved from the business as she has no idea where the guys are how long it will take to get in touch with them. The quality of work is good but I also I like someone whom I can get in touch with for the initial job and if I have questions or concerns afterwards. I think that's the problem with them. We have some issues with the doors right now so we are going to get them to rectify those issues but for future jobs we would probably go with someone else. We looked at them as a professional to do the door installation and I myself know very little about doors. We had heavy duty steel doors installed; I don't know that much about installation but one of the problems we are having is that the regular door frames are not suitable for handling the weight of the door itself. I would have hoped that at some point they would have asked some questions about that or asked what kind of frames we had or if they had let us known that that maybe a concern. I think we would have to get the whole frame replaced. The door itself keeps slipping down lower and lower and it becomes difficult to lock and unlock it. I haven't called them back regarding the issue we had with the door sliding. The first time when we called, Tom came by the house and sort of did a temporary fix of putting nails under the door and no one wants nails sticking outside the door. I am going to try and address the issue myself.

Overall it went fantastic! The pricing / estimate process was as painless as I've ever experienced. They were punctual & thoughtful & did the job within the time they said they would. It was by far the best experience I've ever had with any kind of home contractor.

They worked quickly and did a very good job. They completed the work on time with a quality installation. Overall, they were excellent. The price was fair.

All company representatives were very professional, courteous, and competent. They began the project promptly and I was impressed by the installers' knowledge and efficiency. They also did a great job cleaning up after all was completed. Definitely would recommend this company.

We dealt with Mr. Art Dunn, the co-owner and found him to be: refreshingly low key,very knowledgeable on the different types of replacement windows, easy to work with, personable, and professional. We did consider Andersen Renewal and Pella windows, but chose Marvin Infinity based on their comparable high quality, and the lower price offered by Nova Installations. The installations on both occasions were done by one of Nova's crews: Eric and Jeremy. They were punctual, competent, did a great job removing and replacing the windows, as well as with the clean-up thereafter. We are very pleased with our choice of Nova Installations and recommend them highly.

He gave me a better price than competitors. The salesman's nephew is the installer and he did an outstanding job. He installed 13 new windows after removing the old ones in a single day. I've recommended them to other people and will certainly use them again in the future.
