THIS GUY IS A FRAUD. In the past (years ago), he was reliable. In 2016, he has totally changed. He is now taking money and not providing any service. I gave him almost $500 for a new computer that he said he would deliver in early 2016 and how he has disappeared - not returning emails, calls, text, nothing. I have filed a police report. I have heard that he is going through hard financial times, but what he is doing now is plain old THEFT. AVOID THIS PERSON, HE IS A THIEF.
Description of Work: Paid $500 for new computer, gave him my old computer that was valued at $250.00. He never gave me the new computer and he doesn't answer emails or phone calls.

David was great! He was professional, friendly, and patient. I took a while to decide whether to repair both laptops or have them put together into one. He talked to me about the pros and cons and the value of the 2 machines once they were fixed. In the end, we only needed one laptop so I went for the less expensive option $99 to "Frankenstein" them. The added cost was to purchase and install a 500 GB hard drive to hold all the data from the 2 laptops. I would highly recommend this company.
Description of Work: I had 2 Dell laptops: one with a broken screen and the other with a broken power jack. David "Frankensteined" them together and put a larger hard drive into the "new" laptop. He transferred all the data from both laptops onto the new hard drive.

They were fabulous. The thing that I thought was the nicest piece of it was they transferred and moved the customized all of my data off my old computer at no cost or additional charge. Basically, I paid for the new computer. They did it like two days. The new computer had Windows 8 on it but they did an interface so I can continue using Windows 7. I’ve recommend them to multiple people that were having issues with their computer and everyone said that they are great.
Description of Work: I used Computer Savers when I suspected that the motherboard had gone on my machine. They looked at it. They called me back and said they could refurbish it. I said no because there are other things that is starting to go bad on it. I purchased a new computer and they helped me decide which one.

Seamlessly. Dropped off computer in the afternoon, explained my problems (of which there were tons and of which Lenovo and Microsoft had been unresponsive), received detailed briefing of what steps he would take and departed. Computer was ready at noon on the following day and is operating flawlessly. Price was as originally stated and no "upsells" were attempted. As a side note, this is a townhouse-based business so don't be put off. Also, believe he's moving to a storefont operation in near future if he hasn't already done so.
Description of Work: Cleared error messages, reinstalled damaged drivers, "fine-tuned" hard drive and reinstalled the original Windows 7 program after removing a damaged copy of Windows 8

Wonderful! He diagnosed over the phone what he thought might be the problem (fried mother board) but asked me to bring it over to double check. (this was at no-charge). When he confirmed that was the problem he was still able to get all info off the computer for me! I happily paid to get all my docs, pics, etc. Quick and friendly service! Would use them again.
Description of Work: Got all information from my computer that had a fried memory board.

I cannot say enough great things about Dave and his business. His business model is simple: provide guaranteed results and treat customers with great care. If you read and remember one thing I write, please let it be this: Dave does not expect you to be a computer genius, and he will not talk to you like you are one. Here is some of my own criteria I think about when I hire a service--and how Computer Savers' compared: 1/5, 5 being the best rating: Responsiveness: 5 Courtesy: 5 Service provided: 5 Follow-up: 5 (Dave called to make sure everything was working to my satisfaction) Timeliness: 5 (one day) In short, if you need someone to repair your computer or need a new product--call Dave.
Description of Work: Computer Savers rid my computer of viruses; fixed corrupt registry files; and installed current versions of software that did not install during scheduled installs.

So both of my laptops decided to crap out at the same time, one being a fairly brand-new Dell - Not even 6 months old. I was in a panic because I had neglected to back up some of the newer pics on my old HP laptop and it would not even power up. I knew my Dell was still under warranty, but I did not want to deal with their customer service again to find out why it performed sluggishly and kept locking up. I called Computer Savers and left a voicemail. As promised, David returned my call within an hour. What I liked immediately about David - down to earth, tried to help me out with some tips even before I committed to using him for the repairs and a reasonable flat rate - I found him to be a genuinely nice guy building his own business. I took both my laptops to him, pretty much knowing the motherboard on the HP was shot. As I expected, it was cheaper to replace the HP then repair. I will say I was a bit leery of dropping both my laptops off when I arrived. David was not yet home so his assistant took in my laptops, took a bit of information and told me David would be in touch. I was dropping my PCs with tons of personal data at someone's home. I decided to bite the bullet and leave them. We met David outside as we were leaving and I have to admit to feeling much more secure about the whole thing after meeting and chatting with him. Not only does he repair computers, he also sells both new and used. I ended up replacing the HP (cheaper than replacing the motherboard) with a laptop with almost the same features as my new Dell at much less than 1/3 of what I paid for the Dell. He worked with Dell to get both my faulty hard drive and motherboard replaced - both under warranty. This took some time, but I was so glad David was dealing with Dell customer service rather than me. It came back to me good as new. All data from both my old hard drives was saved and transferred to both my new HP and the Dell. We were so impressed with his work ethic, prices and willingness to help, we ended up getting new laptops for both my mom and mother in law (again extremely reasonable prices). David even took the time to get on the phone with mom-in-law who had never had a computer in her life and take her on a virtual tour and help her with email. He apparently has the patience of a saint! If ever I need computer repair services again, I would give David a call. When I am ready to purchase a new PC, I will be buying from David. Highly recommend!
Description of Work: Serviced my nearly new Dell plus I ordered three la[tops - a replacement for an older HP for me, a laptop for my mom-in-law and another laptop for my parents.
