We needed to replace our old oven. We contacted Sam Firebaugh by calling the phone number he had listed in his Angie's List profile. Mr. Firebaugh's wife took our contact information and promised that he would call after 6:00pm. He called at 6:01, and he spent quite a bit of time with me discussing the oven that I currently had installed and the oven (which I had bought used) that I wanted him to replace it with. He asked about our oven circuit breaker (40 amps), and through our discussion, he determined that he would need to modify the circuit breaker to the required 20 amp circuit. He told us that he was working on another job and would have a better idea the next day of when he could fit us in.
Mr. Firebaugh called us with his availability, and we scheduled an appointment with him for later in the week. On the day of our appointment, he called us to let us know when he would arrive. When he arrived at our home, he came in and went downstairs to turn the circuit breaker off. He modified the circuit breaker to accomodate the needs of the new oven. Then he removed the current oven, and with my husband's help, loaded it into our van so that we could take it to the dump. He vacuumed up the dust and debris from the cutout, and then he began to install the new oven. Because we had bought a used oven, it was missing some of the mounting hardware. He also needed a different connector. Mr. Firebaugh had to make a run to Home Depot to buy the parts that he needed to finish the install. When he tried to put the oven in place, he discovered that it wasn't quite big enough to accomodate the screws located on the sides of the oven, so he had to cut out little notches on both sides of the cutout. It went in without any additional issues, and he cleaned up after himself.
