Hodges Windows & Doors

They are going to come out in about four weeks and instal the windows. They are professional. Their price is fair. Based on my experience so far I would recommend them and use them again. ($7000.00)

I was told someone would be out in 2 days to measure. I did not hear anything for about a week. The man I spoke to said he would go out tomorrow, which was a Saturday, and then email me the estimate. I never heard anything. On the 6th day I called and told them to cancel any order and expressed my dissatisfaction. Any company that can't get out to give an estimate can't get out to do adequate work.

The salesman, Rafael Lobos, was very courteous and helpful with decisions concerning the doors and windows. A few days after signing the contract and giving a 50% down payment, Jason came by to measure the openings for the doors and windows. The work was scheduled to begin 5 to 7 weeks after signing the contract. The work was done on time and took only one day to complete. The window looks great and the casement sashes work fine. The crew cleaned up well after the day's work. The doors work fine. I noticed that the workman forgot to caulk around the trim of the front door after he left. I called Hodges Co and they sent someone out in a few days to complete the caulking.

I called Hodges in March to get an estimate on the door replacement and a salesman, Rafael Lobos, came to my house within 2 days of my call. He brought catalogs, discussed options, took measurements and gave me an estimate. I met with Rafael again a few weeks later at Hodges' showroom to put down a deposit. He again went over everything and showed me the actual doors and hardware that would be installed. He is a very pleasant individual and it was very easy to work with him. He estimated that it would take 4-5 weeks for the doors to arrive. A little over 6 weeks later, I received a call to schedule installation in two days' time. Unfortunately, installation had to be rescheduled twice due to rain, but it was only postponed to the next working day each time. On the day of installation, the crew arrived within 10 minutes of the promised start time of 7:30am and were finished by 1pm. They replaced water-damaged wood at the threshhold of the front door and ant-damaged wood along the threshhold of the sliding door leading to the deck. They removed and reinstalled the existing front entry storm door (and it works better than it did before). When they were finished, they walked me through the work they had done and demonstrated the features of the new doors.

It was a pleasure working with Hodges. They were professional, friendly and the installer was wonderful. I highly recommend them.

They got out the window air conditioner for me which I wouldn't have been able to do myself. They came recommended to me from a friend because of their relatively inexpensive prices. They showed up on time to do the work. They were able to finish the work in one day. They did a very good job of cleaning up when they were thorough. Overall we were very pleased and have no complaints at all! I would use them again and would even recommend them to others!

I interviewed 4 companies and visited their showrooms before deciding on Hodges. What convinced me, was the look and feel of the products Hodges proposed for my house as well as the professionalism of their salesman, Brian Whitehouse. The installers were prompt, professional and knowledgeable. They installed the windows and screen door in 4 hours!!. They had to come back and install the patio door because it was not sent from the factory on time, but they came back the same week. They thoroughly cleaned up after they were done. I would recommend them to anyone wanting new windows or doors.

Hodges came out to give us an estimate, and promised to email me the estimate later that day. I never received anything from them, despite a follow-up phone call. Guess they didn't want my business, but I found their failure to contact me very unprofessional. Estimated cost was $4,000.

They were very prompt, very professional, and gave us a very competitive estimate. We used the Angie's List discount and they worked very well with us. I would definitely use them again.

Overall, the experience was very good. Frank, from Hodges, came out to give us an estimate for replacement windows and siding. While we decided to go with another company for windows, Hodges got the siding job. Frank was professional and responsive throughout. The work crew was very efficient and pleasant. We would highly recommend Hodges. The only minor downside was that the work crew left behind lots of nails and screws in the flower beds, and bits of siding/wood around the yard. Perhaps this was unavoidable. In general, though, we were very satisfied.

It went very well. They arrived on time and completed the work within 2 days. The 1st day they did the 4 windows on the 2nd floor(complete), installed all but one on the 1st floor, the 2 windows in the basement & all 3 doors. All windows were caulked on the inside. They cleaned up and left by 3pm. They arrived @ 7:30 the 2nd day and were finished by 11:30 am after installing the last window, 3 storm doors and finishing the 1st floor & basement windows.

The sales representative was very knowledgeable and came to house prepared to discuss the best options, based on my requests. We also went over several alternative windows and combinations, weighing the pros/cons, including price differences. In the end, he was able to put together a package that was right on budget and included everything I wanted. I cannot say enough about the crew that installed the windows. Since the house is all brick in an area of predominately vinyl-sided homes, I was worried about getting a crew that was experienced with finishing work around brick. I also had several tiled bathrooms where I was concerned about damage to the tile work. In the end, the crew did a fantastic job on the tear-outs, installations, and interior/exterior trim work. The attention to detail greatly exceeded my expectations. They installed these windows as if it were their own home. I am thrilled about the entire experience and highly recommend Hodges.

These guys are very good craftsmen. They replaced all the windows with almost no mess at all, They were very courteous and professional. They did the whole job quicker than I expected. The windows ended up looking beautiful. I don t remember the exact price but I felt they gave me a really good price for the type of windows.

They were very neat with their work, then even discarded an old window air conditioner.

They are an excellent company and very reliable. The provided me with satisfactory work and I would say that they are very experienced and knowledgeable. This is a very reputable company but not always the cheapest. I would definitely recommend them.

Sales person came to house, was also available at store location for on-site picking of doors, doors were ready before original estimate. Everything was as described. I took the sales rep's suggestion about etched glass in the slider and couldn't be happier. There wasn't enough siding left to complete the job, so the installers went and found a siding dealer, matched the siding, came back the next day and beautifully finished the installation. Couldn't be happier with professionalism, installation, and choice of materials. Also, every door and choice of glass and hardware could be seen in their nifty computer program. Several options were considered and computer "photos" were emailed back and forth before we made our final decision. It was a super experience, highly recommend them!

They were on time for the estimate and work. The window arrived on-time and the work was completed in quoted time. Work was very fantastic and worker was extremely professional.

Miles came to measure the day after I called him, and then re-measured as an accuracy check before ordering(Our selections were limited by the fact that we live in a historic district, so I don't have any comments on the selection/recommendation process. But I am glad we had no choice but to get what we got, I love them). The two-man installation team did an exceptionally professional job. I expected it to be a two-day job but they got it done between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. There was minimal disruption/mess and they were careful with the plantings outdoors. Miles stopped by a day or two after installation to see if we were pleased.

A salesman came out to see what our needs were and give us an estimate the same day I contacted them. We visited the showroom to see the doors and talk with the salesman, picked colors and paid a deposit. They contacted us about two weeks later to schedule a time for the work. The installers came on time and did meticulous work. We are pleased with the doors and with the entire process. I would use the company again.

The most satisfying experience we've had with contractors in a very long time. We spent several weeks deciding exactly what we wanted, Mr. Gugino patiently worked with us and answered our many questions, measured very carefully, ensured the door style, color, and hardware was exactly what we wanted. Two months later our doors were ready. On installation day the crew arrived EARLY, removed the old doors/skylights, cleaned up the mess, installed the new unit (which they had prepared in their shop) and meticulously shimmed and sealed everything to fit perfectly, and cleaned everything up. The crew knew exactly what they were doing and the entire process took about 5 hours from start to finish. Two pieces of outside trim were not to their standard, they asked if they could fix in their shop, which they did and installed the next day, on time as they said. Everything is perfect!

They were prompt, they did an excellent job. They came back the next day to fix a couple of things. They were very easy to work with. They have been in business for 100 years. I checked around with a lot of places, but I saw comments of how good they were.

We had two main requirements for this job, which we made clear from the beginning. When our technical requirements were at odds with their production needs, they forged ahead with the work without consulting us about options. Neither of our original requirements were met completely.

The overall experience was very good. They installed stone doors and informed me of tax breaks that I could take advantage of because they're energy friendly. I'd use them again and recommend them to eveyone!

Well, taken care of at every step of the way from first visit to their shop to the final check by phone. Products well described. One visit to measure, and another to measure again to make sure the installers had the best information. The guys that installed were on time, no nonsense and got it done very quickly.
