Within two weeks time a new window unit was installed.The workers were very polite and did a great job. Clearly Hodges is a very reputable company who not only does good work but provides great service  even after the initial job is finished. We were a small job but Hodges treated us as important customers from estimate to installation. We had three windows and a sliding glass door replaced with Marvin products. From selection to booking to installation was less than a month, and at each step Hodges personnel were very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. The installation is well done and we are so pleased with the beautiful windows and door! We will work with them again.

This company top to bottom was really terrific to work with.  Starting with the initial visit, they were here on time and were the least pushy I have ever encountered.  I had gotten estimates from a few competitors, most of which, wanted you to sign a contract on the spot.  There was no run-around with costs, no hidden fees - what you see is what you get.  I ended up ordering two sliding doors from one of their selected suppliers.  They quoted me a 8 week turn around time.  The doors arrived in half the time.  My experience with them only got better.  The installer who came to do the doors, was prompt, knowledgeable, easy to understand and work with.  He spent extra time going over what he did and addressing any additional needs I had.  All in all a really fantastic company - they've been in business a long time and it shows based on how they treat the customer.  Am planning to do windows next year, and they will be my first phone call.

Frank came to the house to show us some window examples. We went to the store to confirm our window selection (we went with two different types of windows based on location in the house). We paid a deposit and then less than four weeks later, the windows were installed. Smooth, professional, no-nonsense process. There wasn't any nickel-and-diming or any hidden costs that showed up at the last minute. We were very pleased.

So far the overall experience has been fine.  They’re fine and good.  First they put on some windows for my husband’s parents who used to live here, and then they died.  So then we used them to put storm windows on the existing windows.  Then again we used them to replace all of the windows in the front porch and now we’re doing all the exterior windows.  In between they’ve done storm doors for us and a few other windows like in the laundry room. We have a good rapport with them and we know what to expect from Hodges Windows & Doors.

I was very pleased with the window replacement service we receieved from Hodges. The serviceman arrived right on time and finished up at little earlier than expected (about 2 hours). I also discussed my concerns about the flowers and bushes we had just planted directly under windows. The serviceman assured me that he would be very careful not to damage or trample our plants. And sure enough, he was able to place his ladder over the plants and they suffered no damage! I was very happy and would reccomend them.

They are highly recommended. They are very professional. They did what they said they were going to do, on time and cleaned up after themselves. I’m going to use them again for another door.

Hodges gave an estimate that was dependent upon the type of windows we selected, shopped for various kinds for us, made recommendations along with explaining the differences and then provided a final estimate. There was a delay in the delivery from the West Coast factory but the job was completed with minimal delay. They even hauled away materials from other work that was being done on the project area. In the end they cleaned up and left very little trace they had been there...other than the great windows they installed.

Workers were very polite to comply with my request that they not wear shoes inside the home, unless using shoe covers.

They are very reliable, if you have a problem they come and check and repair it.  They are excellent, outstanding!!

Everything was excellent.  The salesman offered good advice and provided examples of how the end result would look.  Hodges' workers arrived on time and worked quickly.  The lead installer was quite knowledgeable as well, so the job was done neatly and without incident.

Searched Angie's list for someone to replace a decaying front door bought and installed from Home Depot. The door was purchased and installed three years ago. The door had become warped and the mail slot had been improperly installed. More reasons NOT to use Home Depot for such critical services.

Called Hodges who are in Falls Church. Very professional. Representative came by as scheduled within a week of the call. He provided examples and costs with no attempt to push one door over another to raise price. We chose the Provia Door. We asked to provide an estimate to replace a basement window.  Follow up to complete measurements came a week later, than order was placed.

Within a few days we had both estimates. The window replacement was discounted as they were doing the door.  We signed and were told 5 to 6 weeks for the install. After four weeks they called to say the window and door were delayed in transit but should be there within 5 weeks, as if they had made a mistake. Within five weeks door and window had arrived. 

Install was scheduled, for friday, the 11th at 7:30 am. They arrived at 7:15 am.  By 1 pm, after lot's of work to retrofit old house they were done. A fantastic looking door  well worth the expense.  A lot more than Home Depot, but now we know why now.

We are very pleased with the work.  

The project has gone above expectation.  Our new windows are keeping our home cooler (we've had some very hot days this summer), they are staying clean (we've had a few rainstorms too), and they work.  The sliding glass doors are outstanding and very secure.

All the windows arrived in a truck with two installers.  The windows were labeled with where they go.  I had to clear an area at least 3 feet from all the windows.  Most of the installations were done from the inside.  There was no visible damage to the frames or trim around the windows.  The trim and capping they use (aluminum) looks great and is something I do not have to paint (the original external trim was wood). 

It was similar for the sliding glass door installation.  This was done on a separate day (the doors had not arrived when the windows were installed).  It took about a day for the door installation (I have a very large 3-section door).  The installation did not require the removal of the blinds I have covering the doors and was primarily done from the outside.  The installation was professional and the technicians did not mind me observing and asking a lot of questions.

I am very happy with Hodges and the work they do.  I highly recommend them.

There was a considerable delay in getting the doors.  This may be due to Haddon and their manufacturing.  It is the reason for the 4 rating for punctuality.  On the day of the work, the installers arrived when they said they would.

Overall good experience. We are hoping to have them install a bay window in the near future.

I was really impressed with them because they came to work on the coldest day of the winter.  Two guys came to take the old door frame leaving the house open totally.  They immediately replaced it with a new door frame.  They finished it in a single day.  It is a beautiful door.  The work they did was really wonderful.  I am pleased with them.

We had an excellent experience with Brian W. and Hodges.  We contacted them to visit our house and provide an estimate for replacing two large windows (one in a bay).  Brian took measurements and explained the various window options available to us, as we were neophytes in this area.  We visited their showroom in Falls Church and he walked us through the various brands and qualities of windows.  We had already decided we would go with Hodges' at this point (having recieved a ballpark estimate earlier from the company).  We placed the order for the windows at that time.  About three weeks later (long b/c the windows had to be customized), the installation team scheduled the install.  Everything went smoothly with the actual install and we were more than happy with the expected result.  The price is probably not the lowest out there -- I was shocked at how much windows cost with installation -- but the quality of Hodges' work is great.  We would use them again for the rest of our house.

Overall, the experience was very good. They arrived on time, worked quickly, and cleaned up once the work was complete. We did have a small issue and they were very responsive with fixing that issue. They responded every time I needed anything. Their price was good; we had other estimates and this company was within the same range, except they were able to deliver the windows the quickest. I'm happy with their services.

I could tell they knew what they were doing. They were courteous, professional, and efficient with the installation. We love our new windows.

I wanted to use Milgard windows, and this was the only company on Angie's List that was a licensed distributor. The installation went very well. The crew was on time, efficient and professional. They were also very personable. With the exception of one storm window, there was no broken glass, and the job was completed in one day. The crew cleaned up after themselves, and there was no ancillary damage to the house. There was damage to some of the screens which was addressed the same day, and then a few days later, when I was able to inspect all the windows. The company was very responsive and professional, and I was very satisfied with the quality of the work and the product.

It was beautiful. We were very pleased. Not inexpensive but worth the price.

Overall our experience with Hodges was good. We started the conversations with Hodges in the Spring of 2010 and finalized our contract by November. The one complaint we had is that lack of responsiveness from our Sales Rep, it often took many emails and phone calls over days and sometimes weeks to get a response, which is the primary reason we are not giving an "A" rating. The Office Manager and Installation team were excellent, A+++. All in all the quality of windows and installation were EXCELLENT. We will use Hodges again for future window/door purchases and can only hope that our next experience with a sales rep is better.
