Company was outstanding. Very professional and responsive. Brian took the order and walked us through all of our door options over two meetings in their offices and one session at our home. He was very responsive to all phone and email queries. Tom showed up on installation day - checked in with us and together we ensured all the key elements for the job were present and understood. Tom then went right to work meticulously setting up the work area and carefully executed the work. Upon completion he cleaned the area. Tom was professional in both appearance and manner and respectful of us, our time, and our property. Excellent

Hodges did an outstanding job. We had selected them based on other reviews on Angie's List as well as recommendations from colleagues who had also used Hodges and they more than made our expectations. The selection of products was quite broad and what we were looking for. The cost was also significantly less than Pella which we had also looked at as well. The salesman was very patient with our many questions and requirements, offering several options and his advice on options. He did not pressure us at all. After we finally made a decision and the door was ready for installation, the installers arrived on time and were very quick, efficient and professional. Additionally, they cleaned up after themselves and removed all debris including the old door. A few days later, the salesman called to follow up and ensure that we were happy with the door. We will definitely be using Hodges again when we look to replace some windows in our house.

They did a great job. The windows and door look great compared to old ones we had. The house is much warmer. These windows were much more affordable compared to other ones we had looked at, and we were able to do payments over a year with no interest charges. The guys who installed them were quick and neat, and we were really pleased with the work. We have several more windows we need to replace and we are hoping to be able to have Hodges do them at the beginning of the year. We would recommend Hodges to anyone looking to replace windows and doors.

The whole experience was incredibly professional and responsive. From walking into the showroom which had a wide selection of manufacturers and quality (good, better, best), obtaining expert advice and guidance from Rafael Lobos (who truly listened to my concerns and price range), responding to a request to confirm the measurements by James the next day as I suddenly had to leave on a work trip, to the fantastic job of actual installing of the windows and door done by Chris and his team without any fuss or "issues." I cannot recommend them too highly. They are truly a A+++ company.

Hodges did an excellent job from start to finish. I worked with Brian Whitehouse, who took every care to make sure that we got the door and the service that we wanted. This was a challenge because the door we wanted, and got, is a new product. Another vendor told us he could not get this door--the manufacturer would not do it. Brian got the door for us and worked with Therma-Tru, the manufacturer, to make sure that it came out right even though some design changes were needed during manufacture. The crew who installed the door were marvelous. They came on time. They carefully protected the floor inside the door and were generally careful with and protective of our property. They installed the door very well, finished on time, and cleaned up after themselves very well. They were very nice to deal with and cheerfully answered every question I had. The door as delivered differed in one important respect from my order and both Hodges and Therma-Tru did all that I could ask to make it right, and did so promptly and willingly. Many contractors might have argued about it, but Brian took the opposite approach. He was clearly bent on providing the door and service I wanted and on satisfying me as his customer. He succeeded. Hodges was not the least expensive source for this job, but they are worth every penny.

Within two weeks time a new window unit was installed.The workers were very polite and did a great job. Clearly Hodges is a very reputable company who not only does good work but provides great service even after the initial job is finished. We were a small job but Hodges treated us as important customers from estimate to installation. We had three windows and a sliding glass door replaced with Marvin products. From selection to booking to installation was less than a month, and at each step Hodges personnel were very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. The installation is well done and we are so pleased with the beautiful windows and door! We will work with them again.

This company top to bottom was really terrific to work with. Starting with the initial visit, they were here on time and were the least pushy I have ever encountered. I had gotten estimates from a few competitors, most of which, wanted you to sign a contract on the spot. There was no run-around with costs, no hidden fees - what you see is what you get. I ended up ordering two sliding doors from one of their selected suppliers. They quoted me a 8 week turn around time. The doors arrived in half the time. My experience with them only got better. The installer who came to do the doors, was prompt, knowledgeable, easy to understand and work with. He spent extra time going over what he did and addressing any additional needs I had. All in all a really fantastic company - they've been in business a long time and it shows based on how they treat the customer. Am planning to do windows next year, and they will be my first phone call.

Frank came to the house to show us some window examples. We went to the store to confirm our window selection (we went with two different types of windows based on location in the house). We paid a deposit and then less than four weeks later, the windows were installed. Smooth, professional, no-nonsense process. There wasn't any nickel-and-diming or any hidden costs that showed up at the last minute. We were very pleased.

So far the overall experience has been fine. They’re fine and good. First they put on some windows for my husband’s parents who used to live here, and then they died. So then we used them to put storm windows on the existing windows. Then again we used them to replace all of the windows in the front porch and now we’re doing all the exterior windows. In between they’ve done storm doors for us and a few other windows like in the laundry room. We have a good rapport with them and we know what to expect from Hodges Windows & Doors.

I was very pleased with the window replacement service we receieved from Hodges. The serviceman arrived right on time and finished up at little earlier than expected (about 2 hours). I also discussed my concerns about the flowers and bushes we had just planted directly under windows. The serviceman assured me that he would be very careful not to damage or trample our plants. And sure enough, he was able to place his ladder over the plants and they suffered no damage! I was very happy and would reccomend them.

They are highly recommended. They are very professional. They did what they said they were going to do, on time and cleaned up after themselves. I’m going to use them again for another door.

Hodges gave an estimate that was dependent upon the type of windows we selected, shopped for various kinds for us, made recommendations along with explaining the differences and then provided a final estimate. There was a delay in the delivery from the West Coast factory but the job was completed with minimal delay. They even hauled away materials from other work that was being done on the project area. In the end they cleaned up and left very little trace they had been there...other than the great windows they installed.

Workers were very polite to comply with my request that they not wear shoes inside the home, unless using shoe covers.

They are very reliable, if you have a problem they come and check and repair it. They are excellent, outstanding!!

We moved to the area a few months ago, and have been relying on Angie's list to get our new home in shape. One of our first big ticket items will be windows. Based on the Angie's list ratings, we chose Hodges to provide an estimate. Myles Ganley was our salesman. He showed up on time, but had forgotten his window sample. (Things happen, we understand). Fortunately for Myles, he brought us sales brochures for Seaway Windows. We had installed Seaway Windows in our last home, and were very satisfied with the product. It looked like an easy win for Myles. Myles walked around the house counting windows. He didn't carry a memo pad, or take any measurements, preferring to just eyeball the job at hand. He even refused my wife's offer of something to write down information for the estimate. At the end of the short walk through, he gave us a great price: $10,500 for the whole house. Great. He had our interest. Myles added that the job could be completed in about 5 weeks. After consulting with our HOA, we had to change one window configuration and communicated the change to Myles. We were ready to sign the contract and cut the check. However, when we received the contract, the paperwork was missing one big picture window (the picture window was not the one that had changed). Also, the timeline had gone from 5 weeks to 6-8 weeks. Again, no big deal. Changes happen, but we wanted to be sure everything was correct before signing the contract. Here's where Hodges lost our business (again, it should have been a slam dunk). When we inquired about the changes in installations dates, we were met with silence. When we inquired about the miscounted number of windows, and asked to have the contract amended, a short email arrived a day later that said only, "The count was off my apology." The new contract reflected a price increase for the window he had missed. When we attempted to get Myles to be more attentive and communicative, we received a defensive email that stated, "On Wednesday?s meeting after seeing you the boss said with all the sales we already have on the books, getting a job installed that has not sold yet will not be able to be installed by the end of the year. We have 6 sales people here and I can?t keep track of all the sales that are going on, that?s why we have a sales meeting every Wednesday." Myles did knock $300 off the estimate, but that's not a motivation for us. We want to feel confident that our $10,000 investment will go smoothly. We want communication. It's unfortunate, because we are fans of the Seaway product.

Everything was excellent. The salesman offered good advice and provided examples of how the end result would look. Hodges' workers arrived on time and worked quickly. The lead installer was quite knowledgeable as well, so the job was done neatly and without incident.

Searched Angie's list for someone to replace a decaying front door bought and installed from Home Depot. The door was purchased and installed three years ago. The door had become warped and the mail slot had been improperly installed. More reasons NOT to use Home Depot for such critical services. Called Hodges who are in Falls Church. Very professional. Representative came by as scheduled within a week of the call. He provided examples and costs with no attempt to push one door over another to raise price. We chose the Provia Door. We asked to provide an estimate to replace a basement window. Follow up to complete measurements came a week later, than order was placed. Within a few days we had both estimates. The window replacement was discounted as they were doing the door. We signed and were told 5 to 6 weeks for the install. After four weeks they called to say the window and door were delayed in transit but should be there within 5 weeks, as if they had made a mistake. Within five weeks door and window had arrived. Install was scheduled, for friday, the 11th at 7:30 am. They arrived at 7:15 am. By 1 pm, after lot's of work to retrofit old house they were done. A fantastic looking door well worth the expense. A lot more than Home Depot, but now we know why now. We are very pleased with the work.

The project has gone above expectation. Our new windows are keeping our home cooler (we've had some very hot days this summer), they are staying clean (we've had a few rainstorms too), and they work. The sliding glass doors are outstanding and very secure. All the windows arrived in a truck with two installers. The windows were labeled with where they go. I had to clear an area at least 3 feet from all the windows. Most of the installations were done from the inside. There was no visible damage to the frames or trim around the windows. The trim and capping they use (aluminum) looks great and is something I do not have to paint (the original external trim was wood). It was similar for the sliding glass door installation. This was done on a separate day (the doors had not arrived when the windows were installed). It took about a day for the door installation (I have a very large 3-section door). The installation did not require the removal of the blinds I have covering the doors and was primarily done from the outside. The installation was professional and the technicians did not mind me observing and asking a lot of questions. I am very happy with Hodges and the work they do. I highly recommend them. There was a considerable delay in getting the doors. This may be due to Haddon and their manufacturing. It is the reason for the 4 rating for punctuality. On the day of the work, the installers arrived when they said they would.

Overall good experience. We are hoping to have them install a bay window in the near future.

HODGES WINDOWS & DOORS I loved everything about this company, they were phenomenal. Highly recommend them. The windows look great, wonderful, everybody has said how beautiful they look. It was a great experience. They worked closely with us to identify exactly what we needed. Great price, complied with all the EPA standards. With very minimal disruption to us.

I was really impressed with them because they came to work on the coldest day of the winter. Two guys came to take the old door frame leaving the house open totally. They immediately replaced it with a new door frame. They finished it in a single day. It is a beautiful door. The work they did was really wonderful. I am pleased with them.

We had an excellent experience with Brian W. and Hodges. We contacted them to visit our house and provide an estimate for replacing two large windows (one in a bay). Brian took measurements and explained the various window options available to us, as we were neophytes in this area. We visited their showroom in Falls Church and he walked us through the various brands and qualities of windows. We had already decided we would go with Hodges' at this point (having recieved a ballpark estimate earlier from the company). We placed the order for the windows at that time. About three weeks later (long b/c the windows had to be customized), the installation team scheduled the install. Everything went smoothly with the actual install and we were more than happy with the expected result. The price is probably not the lowest out there -- I was shocked at how much windows cost with installation -- but the quality of Hodges' work is great. We would use them again for the rest of our house.

I called for the window installation estimate for our brick house. It needed 21 new windows to be replaced. Rafael Lobos came to measure our windows and gave me some catalogues. He said he would get back to me with an estimate in few days. I have waited a week ,but I never heard from him. So I contacted him. He took my email address and told me that he will email me the estimate in few days. I never heard from him. I just got new windows installed by American Window company. Maybe he did not like the fact that I told him i would get estimates from 4 other companies. The American Window did not mind at all. Inf cat they encouraged me to do s. They were so wonderful that i am so glad that I did not have to use the Hodges. Thank you, Mr. Lobos.
